A few hundred items were quietly retired around the site about a week ago. This averages out to about roughly 20-30 items of each item type (an item type being a shop that it restocks in). We apologize that we did not announce this sooner; it was a part of preparing for our quests beta.
A retired item is an item that used to restock in the main shops but doesn't anymore.
As a new feature, to clearly see which items are marked as retired in our systems, the text "Retired" will appear in the item box in your Inventory when viewing an item. The text "retired" will also appear by item rarities in both Inventories and Strongroom Items.

Could a list be released of ALL the retired items? I know this is a great asset to our friends over in Eggcavity trying to update everything for the ease of all users. Plus, it'll help to know which items are retired for ALL of us to know too.

Is there a way you guys could make the "X" appear underneath the item when you see it in your strongroom/inventory??? (like the 💵 symbol) Cause it is really inconvenient for me to have to go and open up each item to see if it's retired or not. 😋

@prairie Agreed honestly, there should be an icon at least so I know if an item is retired, instead of looking through all of my items.. one at a time... and perhaps making their rarities 100 would be good too, aka making all retired items staple be 100 rarity

@Ian, I actually just found a bug: The Leaf of Vaka is labeled as retired. This is also the case with items obtained from the ark victory day and other available CC items. 😱

@prairie The Ark Victory Day items are counted as retired since they aren't available the entire year, and only in a very specific time window (at least what I'm thinking) and CC items will eventually be retired after all 😋

Are some of the seasonal items/travels retired now or are seasonal ones just marked as retired too? @Ian

@immortalraven Seasonal ones are marked as retired (like Kinump patch and Haunted Woods) & the Ark Victory Day items too, so I'm pretty sure seasonal are marked as retired all around

Wait does this mean seasonal items are now retired, or "retired" can refer to actual retired items and seasonal items?

we could make it that all the seasonal are marked as seasonal and the real retired one as retired. would be easier to see if they come back in the seasons or not coming back at all.

@mairbear @playermocha345 @sybil_howlett seasonal items are marked as "Retired" in our systems but if they are seasonal, they will be coming back. Sorry. :/ Retired is a giant umbrella in our systems that obviously needs clarification.
