THE TEXU - Say hello to the Texu, the newest Cave creature. Thanks to all of our CDWC contestants for this creature. We thought this batch of submissions was the most creative bunch we've received so far.
SITE GUIDELINES UPDATE - Nobody likes being a victim of pointless pinging, as it leaves people's Notification feeds traumatized for days. We've updated our Site Guidelines to include some guidelines for pinging, particularly to prevent against pointless pinging. Read about it. Then don't do it.

The "pointless pinging" rule seems pointless to me. Basically we can ping nobody right now. '-'

We can't ping newbies cause they'll be confused, no oldies cause they'll be annoyed, no active members (livepulse) cause of something else.

I think there should be a setting to select If you wish or not being pinged. Or pinged only by friends, I don't know. It stills confusing.

Oh no, does this mean that an older common will become endangered soon? It seems when a creature is added another is taken away.

Texu? I'm from Texas. There are neither cold temperatures nor badgers here. Maybe an armadillo would make more sense with this name.

Also i agree they should clarify what classifies as pointless. One could argue that ALL pings are pointless. I really don't see how-how-

The rule made me totally forget the Texu. I don't know where the name was taken from but it reminds me "texugo" in portuguese. And it's nice

Pinging someone to look at your creature suggestion, idea, creatures for trade or whatever does anyone any harm. They either look or don't.

The new pinging rule was strictly done, I'm glad a rule was enforced though. đ The name Texu is simple, clean and cool. I like it.

@veritaspunk I agree, disable would be much better. Why can't we just 'opt out' of showing up in the livepulse to avoid the pings?
