I hate those many new and not that good items/travels for taking places of old good ones. Those I collect are getting retired. I used to get all my creatures with 1 travel (Ark Fields). Retired. Then Field of Flowers. Retired. Oh God

Monthly item retirements will now be a monthly occurrence on the 26th of every month. In this particular post, it's all Travels but in the future it will be 4 items from each shop that are retired per month. Heads up! 😸 ❤️

Wait, @Ian, are Trinket Travels still exempt? We haven't had any new ones in a while. And wouldn't we run out eventually if new ones aren't being made for the new creatures? Or are they going to start being made again?

I was just thinking about trinkets, haven't had any in a long time! .. I'm really bummed about these. I *really* wish we had a little bit of notice so that we could stock up before this happens. Well, everyone clammering for item retirements, it's monthly now! Sighhh.

I'm SO relieved I managed to get everyone on @gentle traveling... Butterflies in a Rainbow was a PAIN to get 500 of. I will once again suggest a small chance of getting retired items as rewards from quests so they're not completely taken out of circulation. 😊

suddenly one became more appealing to me and I regret only having one copy... ah well lol.
On a side note... I haven't been *as* frantically saving up toys because of the retired reusable factor. Well I found out it's only the r100s that are. I accidentally used one (r55) I had few of and it broke the other night. : (

I'm sorry to see these go. I'm new, so I've only seen a few of them, and didn't buy most of those but it's okay. These travels are something that older players can enjoy having, especially if they can remember them coming out.

@raccoon technically there is a low chance of encountering retired items as quest prizes. As someone with over 1000 quests this month (oof), I haven't encountered a retired item that wasn't a sandrodon toy. The odds are SO low.
@ian maybe you could be super cool and revisit how often retired items turn up in quest rewards... ? 💙
@kataclysm Wow. that is so incredibly unfortunate. I always wondered what the luck was in getting Retired items from Quests. (Not I know. still Not enough to entice me.)
@snowywinter every now and again I think about collecting the data from quest rewards for the purpose of recording the frequency of retired items, but it would literally be so demotivating hah. Definitely noticed it's usually a Sandrodon item on those rare occasions though!
@kataclysm yeah when I was new I used to record every little thing from events. approaches, times, rewards, item ID, etc... I had to quit doing that to keep the motivation to still participate. So i get it. Sometimes it's enough to have a general sense.

NOoo ☹️ I get it, too many travels, but I like so many of these, and I always grab them if I can (but you can't get them always because they aren't always in stock and some are more expensive).
Can't we have a heads up thou? Then I'd be at least on the look out for the ones that I otherwise only get when I have enough EC, that are otherwise too expensive to always get.

@kataclysm Once, upon a time, for few weeks, it was np to get retired item, but also need them in a quest. After short periiod, it was cancelled and I didn't get a single retired Item yet. For years! Well, some I did. But you can also win them in game Wall of Sand...
@dragiigy I remember that! It was a bug I think? But yeah quests asked for retired items and spat them out at a really high rate for a very short while.
