Love it. Not really a fan of the modern trend to make all art shiny and out of large blocks of single, featureless colour with perfectly smooth and even demarcations. It might be good for resizing purposes, but I like texture!

2/3 This basically insults your artists by joking that they'll be paid more (weird thing to joke about) and implies that they don't already put "painstaking detail and lavish care" into their work. Above all, players are here for the art. Not too much else to do on here.
3/3 If the idea for the creature came before the text / joke idea, then maybe the joke could have just been the classic and easy "oh no our artists are missing" and you release an "unfinished" creature.

I miss the world where art and humor and nuance and context thereof could be enjoyed without the sacrifice to both art and humor. When has there ever been a world where truly all are encompassed though ? It's just an ideal to pursue, like happiness. I found amusement in the joke.

Hi guys! Current Egg Cave artist here. While I understand the perspective of those saying it was in poor taste, I 100% don't believe that Ian intended any harm. This is coming from an artist who has worked in environments where the artists were treated poorly in the past, (cont.)

and my experience working for Eggcave has been nothing but a positive experience. I can't speak for all the artists of Egg Cave obviously, but any agreements me and Ian have, we are both happy with and I enjoy making art for the community! ❤️
