@despair"I'm betting that the reason most people even want certain creatures in the first place is just because they're considered "rare.""Sorry, but here is where I have to disagree with you. As I mentioned in an earlier post, when people join the site, chances are they are...

@dawnfurSo you're saying that all the creatures available now and all the ones you have now aren't anything at all? It's possible to trade up towards goals. I started off like everyone else with no knowledge of trading or values. But I learned, and I traded for some of my goals. Yeah, it takes tim...

I think a rerelease, if done in a controlled, limited way, would be beneficial for the players and for the site. Those of you talking about the worth of the creatures decreasing, well, that would be a problem if there was some economy on this site that was fragile. But from what I've seen, there is...

Quoted from @ami_utsukushii 's profile page;"RANT WARNING:I am a firm supporter of re-releases because:Older creatures are hard to come by for new users, it's pretty much impossible. And its not just new users, it's users who have been here for any amount of time and missed opportunities. O...

Call me what you want, but I stand behind what Eggcave said,I can't possibly make a better argument than "The site itself has said this will not happen."Edit:@bluewolf That seems to be the common thing now. Someone makes a sound-argument and everyone who disagrees gets agitated.Fu...

@rosaline_kaye I may not have been on the site as long as you, but I've been on for a while. I have put effort into it. Ever since i started on the site. But as the years go by, creatures got harder and harder to get, and what could've gotten me a dreamie back then is nothing compared to what could...

@IanFirst of all, I must say, I'm glad to see the idea is being seriously taken into consideration, because I truly believe that, If done in the correct way, it could bring a lot of positive things for both the site & the users playing in it.So, thank you very much for considering it & he...

@despairWell, to be fair, @ian did mention in his first post that creatures were never meant to be retired and then forever unobtainable. Now, is that a lack of foresight on his part? Probably. But I understand what he's saying as well and would be willing to hear him and others out about re-relea...

Also, I think that the important thing to consider, regardless of the final outcome, is the principles by which Egg Cave stands by. According to the FAQ, Egg Cave is a fun adoptables web site where you can adopt creatures, share them, take care of them, and make new friends. I believe that ev...

@IanI honestly love this idea. People want to be upset about their cove not being so rare anymore, but the things is, re releases will make a lot of people happy. So if someone's cove isn't super rare anymore, its ok. People are trying to get around $80-$90 dollars worth of CC for creatures, and re...

@metaphorIt basically is asking for a given handout when one wants a 10k cc valued creature to become available to the public. The 'newbies' now will have creatures that are highly sought after in a few years. It's just about waiting for the value to increase, as older users have done.I don't...

I think @iceiceice makes a good point that is kind of the heart of the issue here: there is a great gap between the young and the old.The older players have been here through almost every creature release. They've seen which creatures area big hit right from the start and are therefore consistentl...

@rosaline_kaye I forgot to ping @despair too sorry.I don't want to start any controversy, but if you don't mind, I'm going to counter your point about "destroying values." Please note that I am not making any personal attacks, and you are as entitled to your views as I am mine. I just wa...

Hello!Over the last several weeks, I've been reading more and more topics on Egg Cave about potential species rereleases and I've been seeing growing support for it. I thought that I would open an official discussion here, where players can share their suggestions for a fair and reasonable way for...

Hey there! I have a new suggestion. Its called the gift feature. Its pretty self explainatory, but you basically select a critter to send to a person, and you just.. gift it. No need to send a critter back, like a junk egg.Post your comments/questions below. π

Between waiting on cave attempts, new creatures, auctions, the Oasis, and Thief Shop, I got a little bored and wondered what it would be like to have games on the site. Type-thing.It would track your Cave timer in case you're tabbed or have gone to another site completely in the same browsing session you started in. I say that last part because some may have the option checked for "Clear History upon closing", be it FireFox, IE, Opera, Chrome, ect. - in...

How about a feature so you can make your own food? So you go around the Ark to find EXOTIC ingredients and then you use the ingredients to make the food your creatures like. There is also a list of what kind of food each creature of your creatures like. When you feed one of your creations to a cre...
