"Leon..." Alex murmured, pulling herself up.
Suddenly she realized something. She hadn't been wanting physical strength, but mental. Because this was going to hurt a hell of a lot more than lying in lava.
"I couldn't say it before, because I was scared," she shuddered. "I knew it would be too painful. But everything just made it worse," Alex drew in a shaky breath. She was crying now. 'I love you Leon.' That's what she wanted to say. But she didn't. Instead: "Goodbye," she whispered.
Then she turned and fled.

As Catcher and the tiger locked their gazes onto each other, the tier seemed to hesitate. it pawed him gingerly, as if apologizing, and then lunged. This time, Catcher was prepared. He kicked the tiger and pushed off. this bought him a moment to think. 'Those eyes are familiar.' He rolled away from the tiger. 'Too familiar.' The tiger pounced. Catcher leapt to his feet and started to run again. 'Whose eyes are they?' The tiger quickly caught up to him and flung him to the ground, inches from a pitfall trap. 'Whose eyes!?' He stared into the blue depths of the tiger's eyes, searching. Then, the memories, the laughter, the smiles, the friendship, it all returned. "Iris," Catcher croaked. She had lost control.

'So much for making admends.' Leon thought sadly. 'But then again, it was her way of apoligizing, and hopefully her way of leaving me for good. For I know no one who is more of a lost cause than I am right now.'
Leon watched her run off, but knew he couldn't go after her.
Oh, no, not mentally, but PYSICALLY.
He power may not be wiped, but he sure was. It was almost like his power was using him to fuel IT instead of the other way around.
Leon then collapsed on the ground, and didn't bother to get up again, tired of everything.
'Note to self- Write letter to mother vaguely explaining why she should not send me a Christmas gift. Also do not include the fact that I probley won't survive to Christmas.'
And with that finally thought, he closed his eyes, asleep on the ground.

Alex ran to the bus stop without a thought.
Then she got impatient waiting and grabbed a taxi.

She kneeled on the ground and dug her fingers into the dirt.
What was she thinking? Riley was six feet under and gone. There was no way. She hadn't actually seen him though... She had been out cold.... She shook her head. The rest had. Without a doubt, her brother was dead.


Huh? Ren hadn't a second's reaction time, but the beefy fist missed him by a hairsbreadth. Panting like a dog, the fat secruity guard came at him again, but to Ren he moved in slow motion, as in, even slower than an obese penguin lying on it's stomach trying to slide uphill. Slower.
Jazz narrowed her eyes as she watched, just out of view. She clapped a hand over Danielle's mouth to stop her gasp as she set eyes on the boy.
Was that agility even human???
Ren flicked hair out of his face and stared at the lumps of collapsed guards, who had knocked -themselves- out, he hadn't even needed to lift a hand, just dodge their tortoise attacks.
Those kind of jobs really need pay rises, he thought.

Catcher backed away towards the cliff. "Iris, Iris, no...." he whispered. Th tiger advanced. Catcher, as a last resort to reason with Iris, grabbed her tiger-head and yelled as loud as he could, "IRIS! IT'S CATCHER, YOUR FRIEND! DO YOU HEAR ME?! FRIEND!" the tiger froze as if the words made sense to it. The hungry tiger started forward again, baring its teeth. Catcher sighed. It wasn't going to work. He gritted his teeh and slammed his boot into Iris's head. The tiger roared in pain and staggered backward. Then, the tiger's body started to change. It slowly changed to a teenaged girl in ragged clothes and a dirty face. She coughed. "Iris...?" Catcher took a step forward. "GET AWAY FROM ME, you rat!" she growled. "Iris, it's just me, Catcher..." he said softly. "I said, GET AWAY." she said a bit more firmly. "It's Catcher. I'm your friend. Catcher Nama. Your roommate. Catcher. Catcher. CAT-CHER. He repeated to Iris. She shook her head. "I SWEAR, I WILL KILL YOU IF YOU DON'T MOVE!" she yelled. Her face darkened. "Iris, no. I won't leave you." he said with a sad expression. Then, Iris's face softened. "Catcher, please. It's too late. Let me die peacefully. She whispered in her normal voice. Catcher backed away. "Thank you." She said with tears in her eyes. Then she threw herself off of the cliff.

I don't know, I like characters in books and stuff to have to go though heck. O_o
That's why, in the book i'm trying to write, i'm going to kill the main character off! 8D And in the one before that, his girlfriend. XD

A white serpent twisted down her arm, slid onto her desk and faced her, his amethyst eyes drilling into her's.
At first all her snakes had been green and indistinguishable from each other, but now there were four different ones.
There was Dastrode, a monstrous black anaconda, who can crush a car, no sweat. And loves it. However, Dastrode seriously makes Jazz sweat. It's more sustaining the thing than the actual summoning...
Nigami, her original, who is the only one she can summon more than one of. She is a common green snake, mildly venomous, enough to knock out a human within the hour, but not enough to kill.
Next is Chosroes. He's a Hydrophis Belcheri, also known as a Faint Banded Sea Snake, the most venomous snake in the world. His colours are yellow and black. Death will occur within mere minutes if he bites. Not likely though. He's so docile it's boring. Also, he doesn't like land much. And he's so very hard to drag out!
Lastly, there was Blanco. Only, every time she summoned the unfathomable ivory-white snake, he would appear incomplete, like a ghost. She was missing something.
Blanco faded away into nothing and Jazz sighed.

He had made it. After jumping the fence, Ren found himself in the outskirts of the forest. Kids in the school often told creepy stories about this place, such as an evil girl who controlled the forest, and would drain the life from you, but Ren didn't really put much stock in that kind of fantasy.
He didn't notice the small green serpent coiled around his ankle.

Everyone sang while people played music to the song.
"We should have a big get-together." one of the girls suggested.
Jade smiled. That would be perfect. Everything's been too low-key lately.
She leaned over to the person next to her. "Do you wanna go downtown right now?"
"Of fu**king course." Paisley laughed and together they got up and left the student grounds.

Alice looked sadly from her window. She had been watching the big group of friends on the Student grounds. Suddenly, she saw a light brown & ginger haired figure leave the grounds.
"Jade and Paisley." Alice frowned.
She left the window and buried her face in her pillow.
Her life was so sad.

"Hey Jazzz," Danielle appeared at her shoulder, a mischievious smile dancing across her lips. She waved something infront of Jazz's face. "Guess what this is."
"... Mistletoe...?" Jazz wondered, looking up.
"That's right! C'mon... You know you want to!" Dan grinned.
"... You are kidding me!" Jazz stared at it. "No way!"
"You are NOT going to be such a spoil sport!" Dan paused. "Hey. Betcha a mil I can get Blaine under this first," her eyes sparkled maliciously.
Jasmine slapped her magazine onto the table and turned to face the other girl. "You're on."
They set to work hanging mistletoe all around the school.

"I wanted to ask you, Jade. What connections does Alice have with Jasper?" Paisley asked as they walked downtown.
"Well, Alice is still my friend, but, I have to say she's a little obsessed with him. But Jasper does not have any connections with her." Jade picked her words carefully.
"Oh. Well, that's good to know." Paisley said in a small voice.
"Is there any specific reason behind this?" Jade questioned.
Paisley made an ashamed face. "Well, she has been a little loco around him."

Alice turned around in her bed until she faced the ceiling.
Then out the window again, the big group of friends were still out there, and Alice calculated Jade and Paisley must still be walking the path in the forest.

"Let it snow, let it snow." Alice heard a voice in her head singing that line.

Catcher turned around and quickly walked away. No. That didn't happen. It couldn't have. He rand through the woods as fast as he could, tears welling up in his eyes. Suddenly he had a faint memory in his mind. Crysa. Crysa and the look of peace when she died knowing she had saved her friends. Iris's serene disposition as she fell to her death. Another one gone. Another body. He shook his head, holding back sobs. No more. "NO MORE!" he yelled to no one. "I just want to get home and see my friends." he whispered. In the distance he could hear the roar of a helicopter flying. Catcher sat on the ground and rocked back and forth. Suddenly, he realized that he was bleeding from a wound on his arm. He pulled up his sleeve and saw a jagged gash across the tattoo of his number. "The scar will cover up the numbers." he started to giggle in histeria. Tears ran down his cheeks as he laughed like a madman. He almost didnt see the helicopter land.

Annabell sighed, and angerily threw the liberary book against the wall.
'Nothing, absolutly nothing.' she thought, angered.
She must've looked though EVERY SINGLE BOOK in the liberary, and zip, nada, NOTHING.
Annabell pushed herself up from the table that was piled with many books, all on powers, plant and electric powers, and most importantly, powers taking over.
Hundreds of books, and she could prove it, all of them were surrounding her, and there wasn't one bit of useful information in them.
Annabell sighed, defeated. Maybe she could ask Faith about it... but she hadn't seen her in a few days.......

Dusk was sitting in the library, invisible, tapping his heels together, the sound of which appearing to come out of nowhere scaring anyone else away, and wishing he were Dorothy.
But then, who wants to be a GIRL?
He just wanted to go home.
He hated this miserable place. School. Early mornings. Work. Homework. Cafeteria food. Buff guys who are so full of themselves it's a wonder they don't throw up 24/7. Giggling girls who only talk about boys, clothes, boys, dieting, boys, music, boys, and... That's about it. Well, they talk too much.
Speaking of giggling girls... What the hell is Jasmine doing???
