Rant. I want your opinion.

Is it just me, or are new users getting more rarer stuff nowadays? I joined a few months ago, and all the "rare" stuff in my cove (which aren't that rare) are basically from cove cleanouts or UFA lots. Even that STAR Yeep is from a trade. A newbie gift I got was a few Kujaks. But they were new at the time, but now they're common.

Now, looking at some newbies (who I won't name), one even has a Nym from someone. Another has a few Colatays, another has 2 Mos...

I'm not saying I'm annoyed about this. I'm not. It's nice that users are welcoming newbies with a nice rare creature. I'm not saying I didn't get anything. I got off to a good start and started trading and earning a lot of EC, which also helped with trading.

So... does anyone feel like this? Eventually someone will give a Tine to a newbie, or something like that. Because it seems like that to me. I might be wrong, but this is my opinion, and I want yours.

So true. And most of the newbies that have the extremely rare creatures just lurk in the background, so it just makes me wonder what's going on back there...

@choocalate Yeah... I check the introductions forum every so often, do the odd "welcome", and a few days or weeks later they have so many rare creatures. ;_;

A) Been here a while and everyone knows you
or
B) Have Cave Cash to trade

...unless you are Extremely lucky, in such cases, I would love to personally shake your hand.

Guess what i got when i joined? D: Nothing. I saw like 6 trqys in the cave veryday an i kept leaving them there because i already had one, now i regret it.. All my petw wre dieing and i was just in the corner. Then someone traded me a schnee for 5 floicols when they were released ❤️ @GLaDOS , @Princeling back then was my first friend ❤️

@phoenixfox So true. It's kind of annoying. I can't get Cave Cash, and I bet others can't as well. Maybe we could start a protest and become famous and that way we can get rarer creatures! 😃

A while back, when cfmtfm introduced me to EC, I saw a Mo. I saw it twice, so I thought, "Common as dirt. I won't bother with them yet."
Obviously the wrong decision. Now it's on my wishlist lol.

@enigzima See. Just put it as your wishlist on your profile, and voila, I bet some people would give you one. That's how generous they are nowadays. But when I joined...
I think it's just me. Even my step-sister (cfmtfm) got things like a Terron, a Chocob and a Flunny.

I actually had to post my wishlist somewhere to get a few Chocobs, but that wasn't like a newbie gift.
