Rant. I want your opinion.

I don't remember getting gifts when I was a newbie, and personally, don't care if I did or not.

But I wouldn't really give gifts to people who are only a few weeks old. 😱
But I would if I was sure I could trust them, of course.

ANYWAY, I don't care what OTHER people do, because it doesn't really affect me in any way. 😋
So, have fun with whatever you people do, if you choose to do it. XD

Aren't CCs easy to get, though? the amount of actual money you have to pay is way less than the amount of CC you get, so it's a nice deal.

@faeolynrayne Well, first things, some people don't want to pay. Also, it's in dollars, so I'm assuming they don't accept British credit cards.

I thought by gifts you meant gifts from users. If thats not the case, then I have gotten plenty of gifts. Also I joined around Christmas time, so...

@karamel That's true. I received my first CC by trading a 2011 LE Florn for it, but I had also received a Skrulline.

I don't really think I'd give gift to someone who's a few weeks old

I do give gifts though but usually only to my friends and people I trust ^.^

Honestly, when I joined, my newbie gift was a welcome to Egg Cave. o_O
'Cuz back in the day, there was no forum to shout in and say that you existed. And the blog wasn't meant for that.


Anyways... some possibilities:
1) they have siblings/friends that invited them
2) they made new friends on Egg Cave that are impulsive gift givers
3) they met someone who just wanted to get rid of a few LEs
4) they simply got lucky/catch on quickly
5) they have CC & bought stuff {seen this quite a lot, actually}
6) they're really just sides/cheaters {seen this a couple times too}

Heh, well when I came back to this site I still had felt like a Newbie and I made a couple of friends on the first day, about a month later I started adopting creatures from other users and my birthday had come and I received some other great gifts from users, I don't know if that'd count to what you're saying, but the next few days after I started trading on my own and buying CC for myself, but it actually bothers me seeing so many new users and them having rare creatures that even I didn't get that easily.

My suggestion is not to just automatically give a newbie a rare creature because you assume that they are friendly, they might eventually leave the site, because most newcomers only stay for at least three to four days and never come back.

I mean, I've given my friend on here when she first joined some old LE's only because I knew she wouldn't just leave, she just so happens to still go online and now she's working on her own to get her dream creatures.

The first thing I had received as a gift was - like I said before - a month later which had been a Leyma, I also received two Elges, a Draid and a Joker from another user which the user who gifted them to me as a Birthday gift and said I could trade them away for my dream creatures, but before receiving them I had also purchased my first 2,500 CC which I had gotten my Nym and a Rascoon and the rest for trading. I eventually traded one of the Elges, 500 CC and an SoB travel for my most wanted dream creature, the Clous.

The user that I had first gotten to know on here is the reason I had stuck to this site, though she no longer goes on here as much as she used to, so I never have a chance to talk to her these days.

@axel / @sky I was thinking, WTH, this guy is a newbie and look, he's saying about a month later in his EC life. LOL! Yeah, I mean the gifts you got because you were a newbie. You got off to a good start, ish, without gifts. :']

@icymuffin You would think that They wouldn't have heard of the CCs if they were that new.

Well, for all I know, I did come across a new user who did have CC on their second/thirdish day. Completely new & no other accounts. I'm a hundred percent sure. :]
Course, I thought the same thing too until I saw them. I dun remember who exactly it was though ^^"
And they didn't scam me. Soo... yeah. It's possible.
