Benjamin blinked up at the Doll Maker, before giving a faint smile, "I'm fine."
He wondered quietly what he would do now; before he had always amused himself by playing Cam's games. He felt another twinge in his heart. Shaking his head quickly to rid himself of the strange feeling, he reverted back to his obedient self, "Is there anything you would like me to do?" He asked the Doll Maker.

The old man watched Benjamin thoughtfully, somehow he suspected the Doll was not letting on his true feelings. Then he paused, he was being silly, Dolls don't have feelings...they're mechanical at their core...

Still.

The Doll Maker took another look at the quiet Benjamin, "lad, all things come and go, and you will see Cam again. But for now, why don't you come here and have some tea with Charlotte and I?"

Roselynn curtsied respectfully to the Doll Maker, giving her greetings and pleasantries as expected, and when Lilly came back down, she turned to look at the peaceful old man again.

"Thank you again for allowing me to take her early," she said, then turning to Lilly, "Hello, we haven't been properly introduced. My name is Roselynn, and I'll be your Owner from now on."

She gestured to the stoic butler beside her, "and this is Sebastian, he's my personal butler."

@pastelfeathers, I'm not really sure that I'll get an owner 😋 So could you create a new character? 😃

Benjamin nodded at the Doll Maker, he was right of course. He went over to the table and settled himself down for tea. The tea was wonderful and the sweets looked delectable, but Benjamin didn't touch them. He didn't have much of a sweet tooth.

Roselynn smiled, "nice to meet you Lilly, I hope we can play together as well."

She turned to look at Sebastian, who quietly went to grab the young mistress's things.

The girl turned to look at the Doll Maker one last time, "we will be leaving now, Mr. Doll Maker, I'll be sure to take Lilly back here for regular visits."

She held out a hand for Lilly, "shall we leave?"

The old man bid young Roselynn and his sweet Lilly farewell, feeling rather heavy-hearted. He had lost two of his children in one day...

He glanced in Benjamin's direction.

"You and I lad," he began, "probably will not have much time left either."

The old man held in another sigh, "your Owner is due to arrive anytime this week."

Benjamin glanced at the Doll Maker. His owner was coming. He felt excitement spark throughout him. He wondered what his owner would be like. Would they be nice? He really hoped so.
Smiling quietly, Benjamin finished off his tea, before returning to his room to play the trumpet. It was a loud and happy instrument, which would suit how he felt right now.
Benjamin decided to ignore the niggling uncertainty in the back of his mind, which told him that 'excitement' was something that he really shouldn't feel.

Roselynn smiled, making her way out into the lightly drizzling rain, she made certain that Sebastian was holding the umbrella over both her and Lilly's heads.

She waited until the three of them were comfortably sitting in the carriage to speak again.

"Lilly," she asked, "once we get to my mansion, would you like your room to be close to mine? And what would you like for your room?"

Appearance: Tall and lanky with a shocking wave of bright red hair over gray eyes.
Personality: Is rather obnoxious and loud around people, but deep down, he's really a quiet thoughtful person who wants to be liked for who he is. He also likes to sing.
Owner's special request to the Doll Maker (do you want your Doll to be short? Cheerful? Be able to draw? etc. Pick two.): Be able to listen well and play instruments.

(( ahaha, I hope you still think so after seeing his attitude in action 😉 ))

Joshua felt lethargic, he was beginning to fall asleep as the road to the Doll Maker's house seemed to stretch on and on and on...

"Master?" a quiet voice woke him from the semi-nap he had fallen into and Joshua stirred. He rubbed a tired hand over his eyes.

"Are we there?" he mumbled, voice scratchy from sleep.

He felt the other nod, "yes master."

Joshua took a brief moment to collect himself, then sighed, "alright, let's get this over and done with."

He braced himself, then burst out the car with surprisingly theatrics and jogged quickly to the little villa in front of his parked car. Upon reaching the porch, he knocked rapidly on the door and, completely disregarding manners, he shouted, "hey! Hurry up in there! It's cold and wet out here! Is this how you treat your customers!?"

Benjamin watched as a car pulled up in front of the Doll Maker's house and a boy leapt out and rapped loudly on the door. Curious, he set down his trumpet leaned his head out of the window to get a better view of the visitor.

(( Glad to hear it. 😉 No worries, one of Joshua's goals is to get Benjamin to be as loud and spontaneous as he is. XD ))

Joshua groaned, feeling his carefully styled hair flattening from all the rain and moisture in the air.

"Come on!" he shouted, "I thought old people were supposed to be nice and caring! There's a poor kid out here drowning in rain!"

Feeling a set of eyes on him, Joshua glanced around curiously, but finding nothing he frowned. Then, out of instinct, he looked up and blinked upon seeing the boy with his head out of the window.

He grimaced.

"Hey you!" he called out, "are you deaf? Didn't you hear me asking to come in!? Why are you still up there?"

Benjamin stared at the guest. The guest yelled something up at him; a series of questions. Benjamin was a little confused; did the boy want him to come down? Or did he want him to answer?

Benjamin decided that the questions must be indirect orders, so he walked downstairs and went to inform the Doll Maker that there was a visitor at the door.

Cam shook his head stubbornly. "No, I'll run. I don't really get tired, and besides, I can't ride a bike while caring Bunbun," he looked up at her with THOSE eyes.

Cam kept up easily, one of the merits of being a robot. He was curious about her home but kept his head down shyly. He'd see soon enough, he supposed.

Joshua watched as the boy's head disappeared from window ledge.

There was a moment of silence.

"Argh!" he grumbled at the door, then raised his head to call out in the direction of the open window, "you better be scrambling to open the door!"

He made a face at the still closed door, it really was getting cold now.

The Doll Maker smiled, "oh dear Charlotte, I certainly hope that is true. What would I ever do without my little princess?"

The series of shouting made him pause and, with a small moment of contemplation, the old man sighed and waved a vague hand in the direction of the door.

"If you could be a dear and open the door for our new guest before he huff and puff and blow our door down?"

"Of course!" Charlotte bustled off to get the door. She opened it on the boy. "Hello there! Doll Maker will see you shortly!" She welcomed him in.

Benjamin walked down the stairs and saw that the boy had already been let in. He walked over to the Doll Maker and stood watching the new guest.

Joshua stared as a flurry of movements finally granted him entrance into the cozy villa. He paused by the door, uncertain about where to go.

"Don't stand around like an idiot," he chided himself quietly and, for a lack of better direction, decided to follow the girl who had allowed him in.

He stepped uncertainly into a room, that by all appearances, looked to be the parlour, where an old man was sitting on the sofa, right beside the-

"You!" he growled, staring at the boy who had been staring at him through the window, "I suppose you thought it was funny to stay in here all warm and dry while I'm freezing myself out there!"

Roselynn grinned and took a closer look at her Doll.

"If that is what you want then of course," she replied, then paused, "everyone's going to love you."

Sebastian coughed, and suddenly Roselynn tensed, "although I have to warn you, my father is a rather intimidating man...and he may not be very nice to you."

She gave Lilly an encouraging smile, "but just ignore him! We can stay in the gardens and you can draw all you'd like!"
