Benjamin stiffened in surprise as Cam hugged him. He was always surprised by Cam and he never really knew what to do when things like this happened. Slowly he gave Cam a bit of a hug back before following him to his Master.

The old man nodded, an approving smile on his face as Alicia thought over her decision, he appreciated the maturity she was showing in face of his reluctance.

'Perhaps she would be a good owner for Cam after all', he thought fondly to himself and waved her off, remembering to call a quick "be careful little one!" just as the kitchen exploded.

Or at least, part of it did.

The Doll Maker flinched, then allowed himself to relax once he heard Charlotte's words. He shook his head bemusedly, "my dear, perhaps a flambe is out of your league right now?"

He paused to consider, "if you really wish to cook, then how about a nice simple blueberry pie? Or perhaps you can join everyone in the parlour?"

The old man groped the table to his left for his book, he figured he might as well as wait until everyone came back.

If Cam was going to leave with the little Miss, then Charlotte and Benjamin would probably want to say goodbye...

The Doll Maker sighed, he never liked goodbyes.

"I know, I know. Don't try things out of my league." Charlotte laughed. "Blueberry pie? Sure!" She popped back into the kitchen, and reemerged half an hour later holding a steaming pie. "I've got pie!" she called out loudly.

The Doll Maker gave a soft chuckle at Charlotte's words, if Cam was like his eldest son, then Charlotte was definitely the cheeky daughter he never had.

He gestured towards the table and the sofa, eyes focused half-heartedly on his book, "place it upon the table and sit down Charlotte. I'm sure the others will join us shortly."

The old man looked up from his book briefly. "Besides," he sighed, "I have something important to discuss with everyone."

Alicia came back to where the Dollmaker was sitting, wondering where Mr Cam was "Excuse me?" she squeaked "Would you have any idea where Mr Cam is? I'm afraid I can't find him..." Although she didn't want to sound impatient, Alicia really had no idea where he would be, so she figured the best thing to do was to ask Mr Dollmaker, right?

"Ooh, IMPORTANT~!" Cam overheard and bounced over, dragging Benjamin along with him. "Is is fun?" He tilted his head to one side questioningly.
He paused. "Charlotte didn't burn something again...?"
Then he noticed Alicia's presence and gave her a small bow. "Have you been looking for me?" He asked, poking one of his own cheeks as he spoke.

Alicia turned around, unfazed still by his sudden appearance "Are you Mr Cam?" she asked, curtsying "The Dollmaker sent me to come to you, and thank you personally for the delectable cuisine." Alicia curtsied, and waited for the reply.

"Really?" Cam rubbed the back of his neck in a childishly shy and embarrassed manner. "Well, it's my pleasure!" He smiled contentedly and continued to tug at Benjamin.

The Doll Maker watched the preceding conversation with a small rueful grin, "as adorable as this is, I'm afraid I'm going to have to interrupt for a bit, if only so I can propose something."

He waved a hand at Cam.

"Come here lad," he said, "this is meant for your ears only."

(( Lol, you two have the cutest convos, but no worries, as soon as Cam says yes, the Doll Maker is going to allow you two to leave his house. XD ))

"Heehee, you're funny," Cam laughed and hugged her. "Are there any more chocolates left? Ooh," he remembered last time he went shopping he got some of the stuff extra cheap so he'd got more chocolate.
Chocolate, cakes, sweets and candy were his second favourite things ever.

"Huh?" Cam paused and skipped over to his master.

Alicia returned the hug heartily "Oh, Mr Cam," she suddenly said "I think Mr Dollmaker wants to talk to you..." she gestured towards the Dollmaker, who was indicating for Cam to come.

The old man sighed, he was rather reluctant to let Cam go, but it was probably best for the Doll to go with someone who he got along with.

"Lad," he said softly when Cam came closer, "would you like to go with Miss Alicia over there?"

Alicia sighed, but this was short-lived. "I think it's more of a private issue. Go on." She gave Cam a small prod into the Dollmaker's direction, wondering what must be discussed, but, it seemed like a very important issue.

The Doll Maker shook his head slowly, he was sad to see Cam go, but at least he still had the other Dolls to keep him company.

"You're going home with her lad," he clarified patiently, then turned to Alicia, "please be careful with him little one. Cam will bring his set of instructions and manual guide for you before you leave."

He patted Cam one last time on the head, "be good lad, take care of Miss Alicia."

Cam's smile wobbled for a moment, then he nodded and left the room to get his instructions. He wondered for a moment if the Master would let him take his stuffed animals. He didn't know if he could bear to leave Bunbun behind..!
He blinked. Cam knew he was a doll. What did it matter to him?
Cam thought he felt some kind of... He didn't know what it was. Maybe there was something wrong with him. Maybe he should ask the Master before he left.
But he wouldn't, because he didn't want to trouble him just as he was leaving. And besides, it was probably something stupid, a momentary glitch.

"Oh?" Alicia asked, her mouth turning into a small 'o' shape "Is he coming home with me? How can I maintain him? Is there a manual to how to use a Doll?" Alicia was caught completely off guard by this, and wanted to be sure she could take care of Cam properly, as he was a very well-made Doll, and she didn't want to see him falling into gradual despair.

The Doll Maker watched out of the corner of his eyes as Cam left, making a note to himself to check up on the lad in about a week or so.

It's hard to let the Doll he considered a son go, but the old man suspected Cam would have more fun with Alicia. Hopefully.

But in the meantime, he turned back to Alicia, "worry not little one, Cam will bring you the booklet with everything you need to know about proper maintenance."

He suddenly frowned, "although perhaps you should quickly phone home while Cam is getting ready? I do not want your parents to be caught off guard by the sudden appearance of a Doll."

"Oh, I don't think they'll particularly worry. I hardly ever see them, and my father promised me that if I can get a companion myself, I can keep them. Although he's a businessman - perhaps not one of the trades honest men take - he is a man of promises. I'm sure he'll keep his word." Alicia once again curtsied, wishing to show politeness.

"You're free to check up on him anytime," Alicia quickly added, noticing the regret in the old man's eyes "I'm sure he'd be happy to see you. You can come as often as you wish, I can ask Liccie to cook you a nice meal, suited to your dietary needs, if needed."

With a final curtsy, Alicia waved goodbye, hoping that she will be able to maintain Cam to the standards of his previous owner. She had a lot to live up to, and made a note to strive to do so.

Cam sneaked on tiptoes slowly to the front door, one hand carrying the instructions and manual, the other hugging tightly to himself his giant pink stuffed toy bunny, which was more than half as big as he was, which seeing how small Cam was, admittedly wasn't very big at all, but in comparison, the bunny was large. Guilt was written plainly all over his face but he just couldn't drop the bunny.

Alicia walked out, and wondered where Cam had went. Probably packing some of his personal belongings - Alicia believed that anybody - even a robot - could have feelings, or be programmed to do so. Besides, Alicia expected Cam to have at least a few things he'd want to take, right? She walked outside, and saw Cam hugging a huge toy bunny. Instantly, Alicia's eyes lit up with delight.

"Aw, isn't it cute?" she patted it gently on the head, as though it were a real thing "What's its name?"

"Bunbun," Cam replied instantly. "His name is Bunbun."
Bunbun was more real a person to Cam than anyone else. Sometime during his artificial existence, Cam had convinced himself that Bunbun and him comunicated telepathically.

"Aw, he's really cute!" Alicia smiled "If you want to keep it, I'm not going to stop you. Anyway, hop onto the bike," she gestured to her own bike, parked next to the staircase "I'll go run along after you. My house isn't too far away, though it might be a bit different to what you're used to, but we'll go over all that when we get to my house."

As Benjamin watched Cam leave, the felt what might have been sadness twinge at his heart. He frowned quietly to himself. Surely the feeling wasn't sadness, more likely something had malfunctioned a little in his robotic heart. Still, Benjamin knew that things wouldn't quite be the same without Cam.

The Doll Maker hummed a disjointed little song and turned briefly to Charlotte, he smiled, a hint of sadness tinging the happy gesture.

"Oh never mind me," he said, "I guess this old man just forgot that all chicks will eventually grow feathers and fly..."

His eyes flicked towards the window, where the rain was now easing up, slowly allowing the faintest hint of a rainbow to peek in the sky.

The old man sighed again, to himself this time, and turned just in time to catch a look of...something flashing across Benjamin's face.

He frowned in concern, "are you alright Benjamin?"

Roselynn paused in surprise as a young girl opened the door and invited her in, she gave her butler a quizzical look but did as the girl said.

As her butler took her coat and closed the umbrella, Roselynn took the time to observe the girl who had opened the door.

But it isn't until they began walking, presumably to where the Doll Maker was, that she said something.

"I really like your dress," she commented with a smile, "it matches the flower in your hair perfectly."

The Doll Maker blinked when Lilly tugged on his pants and turned to see a young girl by the door.

'Oh dear,' he thought to himself, 'what a busy day this is...'

Nevertheless, he smiled and patted Lilly on the head, careful of her flower, "she's your new owner Lilly, why don't you grab your manual and pack up your things?"
