Saw Batman: The Dark Knight Rises. Was freaked out 30 minutes through the movie and couldn't stop glancing to the exit door. Got over it after a while. Definitely not as dark as the one with The Joker. He's so much more insane.

@lonewolf

I remember "watching" Dark Knight years ago. And by watching I mean falling asleep for 90% of the movie and getting confused as to what was going on when I woke up. Never tried to watch it again.

... I can sleep through anything without even trying. >.<

@spikaya

Haha. That's exactly like my dad. 😋 I liked it. The Dark Knight has more of those moments where your heart is pounding and you have that feeling- like when you're about to go on a rollercoaster kind of feeling. 😸 But yeah, I like both movies. The Dark Knight is just more intense.

@lonewolf

I probably could've liked it if my experience with the movie wasn't a few disjointed action-y scenes. Eh, I just never got around to watching it again. I've had a similar experience with quite a few movies (Iron Man 1, the original Star Wars trilogy), sadly. It obviously has nothing to do with me getting bored... :/

@spikaya

I don't like Iron Man at all very much either. Star Wars is okay. It's just kind of slow. But hey, they're older movies so I guess they have an excuse. I felt like my mind was always somewhere else during The Dark Knight Rises. It was slow at some parts and it was hard to follow at some points. They needed to progress it better.

Next movies this year I'm waiting for: The Hobbit and The Bourne Legacy. Disappointed that it isn't about the old guy though. ☹️

@lonewolf

Never rewatched the original trilogy again (Star Wars), but I've watched the prequel trilogy of Star Wars and played a few games and read a few books based off of it, so I do have a general idea of what was going on there. I did recently watch Iron Man 2, though, so I am interested in trying to watch the first one again. It didn't really have much to do with not enjoying it and more to do with being ridiculously tired while watching it. -.-

Don't know what The Bourne Legacy is, but I wanna see The Hobbit. I couldn't really get into Lord of the Rings, but I LOVED reading The Hobbit, it was so good.

@spikaya

Oh I see. So it's more of the circumstances around you that affect what you're watching. The Bourne Legacy is really good. I wasn't really into that kind of stuff but then I watched it and loved it. Look up "The Bourne Identity trailer" on Youtube. That's the name of the first movie. Then there's The Bourne Supremacy and The Bourne Ultimatum. So yeah, go watch the first trailer to see what it's like. The trailer doesn't show how cool it is though. The second and third trailer do a better job.

I couldn't read The Lord of the Rings books because it seemed like they described everything TOO much. There's a point where you describe everything around you too much and they had done it.

Iknow, right? compared to the movie, it seems that the graphics were horrible back then. I remember what the ship looked like. It was so unreal compared to the one in the movie. 😸

@lonewolf

Well, Star Wars kinda had to do with me being bored during really, really slow parts (which I agree is forgivable, old movies have a problem of being really slow), but yeah. I fell asleep during Iron Man before anything even happened.

Also, yeah, I completely agree with you on Lord of the Rings. Too many details, the plot started confusing me as I got deeper into the secod book, and it was hard for me to read a SINGLE PAGE of the third book! The movies weren't any better, especially when trying to watch them in one sitting (blame my brother, he loves the movies... I found them worse then the books, honestly. And they somehow confused me even more then the books). I stopped watching when we got to the third.

I know these are popular books and movies, I just get so progressively uninterested in whatever's going on the deeper I get into the story I just can't bear it after a while.

... Okay, rant over. I don't want to talk about sleeping through movies anymore. >.<
