Wolves of the forest: will you lead your pack?

BrightStar followed GrayFlood's scent. Soon, she found herself facing a dark gray wolf.
"GrayFlood!! Who's this!" BrightStar commanded, fearing for her adopted pup.
"It's okay BrightStar." GrayFlood replied "This is Cast, and he might join our pack!"

EF: Avi changed tactics and started to bite and slash her way through the tangle. "I was only trying to get the shrub off of my claws. all of that wasnt supposed to happen." She smiled. "Anyways, eat this. Its not like I went through enough trouble to get it."
Eternal laughed. "You'll find the shrub is gone from your claws by now." It took so little effort that it was worth it. She moved in to help destroy the rest of the vines.

C: Two new scents hit Cast's nose, and a second later a large pure white wolf confronted them.
"GrayFlood!! Who's this!" She said in a bossy voice. Cast took an instant dislike to her. He met her gaze with a challenging stare. She would be hard to beat. He cast a look around for the other scent but couldn't see anyone.
"It's okay BrightStar." GrayFlood said "This is Cast, and he might join our pack!" Cast looked at Grayflood, annoyed. At least he put a 'might' in.

Solah frowned as Cast refused her offering. "Yes, what Grayflood says is true, CT is very kind, but only if you're on her good side." she gave a sly smile and shook her head to show that she was just joking. "If you're an enemy of CF, then even better. I bet youll be great in our pack." Solah smiled warmly. "But if you don't want to join, that's fine. There are plenty of wolves who stay loners, even one of my close friends." she added as CT charged into the clearing

Solah frowned "Yes, what Grayflood says is true, CT is very kind, but only if you're on her good side." She smiled strangely and shook her head. Cast frowned in confusion, not understanding the body language. It didn't seem aggressive at least. "If you're an enemy of CF, then even better. I bet you'll be great in our pack." Solah smiled again. "But if you don't want to join, that's fine. There are plenty of wolves who stay loners, even one of my close friends." Loners... They were everywhere. Cast hated the idea of being alone, back in that forest jumping at every sound, but all these wolves....

Lol i'm on my dsi again! time for slow posts! (i have to go again soon,though ☹️ )

BrightStar stared at the new wolf and swished her tail angrily. She was protective over the gray little pup, and this new wolf, Cast, had a bit of Crimson's scent covered up by river scent. Still, she had to be nice.
"It's true what GrayFlood says." Brightstar stated, "the thunderfangs are the nicest pack i've ever seen."
"I don't know why I'M saying this though, CT, come out, I'm sure this wolfs friendly." Brightstar sighed

"It's true what GrayFlood says." Brightstar said, "the thunderfangs are the nicest pack i've ever seen." It sounded like it didn't fit together, like it was falling apart but kept there using a feeble strand of cellotape. This wolf was clearly trying hard to be nice, and from Cast's view failing miserably. His distaste grew. What if the other wolves were like this?
"I don't know why I'M saying this though, CT, come out, I'm sure this wolfs friendly." Brightstar sighed.
Cast stiffened. At the back of his mind he had felt the presence of the other scent he had smelt earlier, the wolf had been watching, listening. He hated spies. Cast let out a low hiss.

as soon as she was finished getting rid of the remaining vines, Avi got down and devoured the deer like it was nothing, of course leaving a bit for Eternal. she looked up at the wolf "what now?" she asked."what are you planning to do? to be honest, you might be upset about the pack, but you don't seem to exited about the whole revenge thing."

"BrightStar, be nice!"Grayflood teased. He nipped at Brightstar's paws playfully, which caused Brightstar to smile.
"Come on Cast, you can be part of our huge family! We hunt,eat,play,sleep,fight,hunt,track,pla...." Grayflood was cut off by Brightstar pushing her paw on his muzzle. "Sorry 'bout him, he's a blabbermouth." she told Cast, still laughing from Grayflood's antics

C: Grayflood seemed to be an observant pup as he sensed Cast's hostility and put on a show of teasing Brightstar. She obviously likes Grayflood at least, and eased up. Cast relaxed slightly.

GrayFlood pulled away from Brightstar he was just about to make brightstar chase him when... he felt a raindrop on his head. Looking up, he saw the dark clouds gathering.
"Cast, it's going to rain! You better stay with us then, are camp is in a cave over by..."
"Grayflood! You don't give away secerts like that!" BrightStar scolded Grayflood.
"Still, you should take shelter, and we won't mind you share space." BrightStar said sincerly, in a much better mood.

"uhh... to be honest, your the first actual wolf iv met. I was abandoned, im guessing. of course iv seen other wolves before, but iv never spoken to them, just avoided them. there's no one for me really to take revenge on. i dont think im a really good fighter, because iv always hidden and evaded predators." she paused for a second..."unless you count flinging squirrels in the river for biting me, "revenge" Avi cracked a little smile. "i hate squirrels."

C: Grayflood looked up suddenly. Thinking it could be a trick, Cast didn't take his gaze of the wolves.
"Cast, it's going to rain! You better stay with us then, are camp is in a cave over by..."
"Grayflood! You don't give away secrets like that!" BrightStar scolded Grayflood.
"Still, you should take shelter, and we won't mind you share space." BrightStar said, a bit more kindly.
'You don't give away secrets like that!' Cast mocked mentally. He still didn't like Brightstar that much.
"No thanks then, I'll just be... Oh no, I shouldn't tell you..." He walked away, smiling.

Seeing his new friend walk away, Grayflood followed him. "Hey wait Cast, why are you leaving?" Grayflood asked the wolf

"yeah, i know that, but why can't you stay!" Grayflood looked at Cast with pleading eyes. The only other male wolf he could relate to was Riverwader, but he paid alot of attention to his mate and own pup.
He wanted someone he could look up to as a role model, and Cast seemed nice enough.
"please stay Cast." whined Grayflood.

BrightStar turned to Solah as she watched GrayFlood rush after the new wolf. "Are you sure we can trust this guy? I can smell, very faint, a trace of Crimson on him. Then again, that scent is EVERYWHERE!" BrightStar complained to her friend.

GrayFlood smiled at Cast and wagged his tail happily. I'm glad we met, and I hope we can see each other soon!" the small pup said. "Come by when ever you feel like it."

Are you sure you can trust these wolves? Cast asked himself. No. But then, what was life without a little risk?

Cast frowned. Did he have a strange accent or something? How long did they think the rain was going to last???

Solah nodded to her friend. "Yes, I could smell it, just a bit," she admitted. "But then again, Sunstorm smelled like CrimsonFang too, but he was fighting him. Cast could be an enemy of WildClan. He certainly acted resentful of them." she added. Who exactly was Cast?

Sunstorm hunted silently in the woods. But then he smelled a strange scent. He followed it to a thick patch of woods where a gray wolf was wandering around. Sunstorm killed a fleeing bird to make sure his hiding place wasn't given away.
