and I'm sure very quickly that you guys can now all see WHY it is so unbelievably difficult for us to test serious claims of users... it's not that i can't return "stolen" creatures or that we inherently mistrust everybody, it's that it's nearly impossible to determine the legitimacy of users/scammers anymore regardless of screenshots or the testimony of others (A USER JUST FRAMED THEMSELVES and it looked authentic!).

keep your creatures if you intend on remaining the rightful owner. 😊

Ok so what we've got to do is come up with a solution that is pretty easy for Ian to implement so that people don't get ripped off. I'm sure I can do freezes for people but I wouldn't want to trade one of my eggs away as collateral.

@Ian After this, we will 😊

@lilones with regards to what is formally known as "creature stealing", it is merely a SCAM. there is nothing to implement to protect against it other than you holding on to your creatures.

@Ian

Does this mean you cannot recover eggs that were being baby-sat, but then the user got banned? ☚ī¸

@ian I was thinking there might be a way that a person could 'gift' CC or exchange/trade CC. That was people could trade freezes for creatures if they wanted to. But i can see the posts now. 'I didn't mean to click to give my CC away'.

@Ian This seems kinda confusing. >.< Not tihs conversation, I mean all of these people who make tons of different accounts and trick people and lead us in different directins of our thoughts every time. Was that too conufsing? Just because I use metaphors a lot. 😋 But honestly, it makes me tihnk there's no one to trust anymore. 😱 well I mean not everyone, jsut newbies and people I've never talkd to. 😱 But sometimes I think this isn't the case, because last night I traded with a user that I didn't know in exchange for 3 freezes, and it definitely wasn't a scam. 😸

@Ian

You know, this feels like a punishment to all of us who lost eggs. Be stupid and innocent and you get what's coming to you, is that it? Just rub it in.
Sure, the culprit is banned, but the creatures will die away from their homes and no one will be able to do anything about it.
They're just pixels and we shouldn't care so much, is that it?

@silverserpent this is merely punishment ONLY to those who scammed.

i do not intend to "rub" anything in; only offer more clarity.

😊

let me know if you have any more questions. i am happy to help. just ping away. 😊

@crooton1 yes, we cannot recover eggs that were being baby-sat on now banned accounts.

remember: the rightful owner is whomever the creatures are transferred to.

additionally, i'm hoping that there becomes less of a need for babysitting with the new level 2000 rule (see the site blog for recent update).

@Ian Well... I could ask a lot of questions, but I'm pretty sure by now I would not like the answers.
You're going to let my Drakomo, Flover and Yubby die in rated_18's cove anyway. That I tracked and logged every step of the trade with screen shots to prove they were mine in case anything went wrong apparently means nothing. So let them die then.

Wonderful.

@silverserpent because i trust you and you have proof (and rated_18 *was* really a scammer), please email me at eggcave@gmail.com with the necessary files and i will attempt to restore the creatures and get them back for you.

@hvernon if a person is banned or deleted, their creatures die with the account essentially.
