Aherm *clears throat* Who thinks making "Don't use Quitters to beg for creatures." a rule would be A LOT helpful? 😋 I don't want to bug Ian for it, but... it would make things a bit easier. ^^ At least SOME of the beggars would stop. =3

Making an 'should I quit' topic equals making an 'I'm quitting' topic. It basically announced to all the users that you'll quit (most probably) and provokes that same reaction - begging to stay/for creatures. 😋 So, yeah... Don't know whether to quit? Ask a clase friend on EC/close friend in rl who knows about EC. =3

And quitting is in no way a depserate time - it's a time when someone moves on with life. I like to think it a happy event, not a sad one. ^^ If they're quitting because of less time in rl, that means they're busy with friends, family, school, a lot of HAPPY things happening. It's a time to wish them good luck, flasha a smile and wave them goodbye. I like to remember quitters as happy as they could be. ^^ Beggars just make it a sad thing. ☹️

@jupiter_hollow I did think of that but I don't think this "crisis" (uh... I mean problem) is just big enough to be made into a complete rule. Plus, some people don't even read rules... :/ Not implying anyone in particular but there's always the odd person *shrug*

The vibe I'm getting from 'should I quit' topics isn't the vibe you're talking about. It seems to me that people just want attention or to see just how much attention they can get :/ It does provoke the same reaction though. Quitting or hiatus, some people will still ask for creatures.

*applauds you* Well said 😋 Just some extremists who don't happen to think like you. There are always going to be annoying/irritating people, sadly. And I think of it the same way 😊 Not just the quitters being happy, but their friends too - as I said in the first post, the quitters would want to remember their friends with smiles, not plastering "forever alone" on their foreheads.

... well of course that last bit was exaggerated.

True. But it's a complete annihilation of the purpose of EggCave. EggCave was created to be different from other sites - better, friendlier and a site to be remembered. It's where people can create, have fun, communicate from different people. Not get annoyed 24/7. And that's what beggars are doing - exasperating everything...

Well... we're capable of discussing this for a long time but honestly, we've agreed on some stuff and disagreed on others. But for the most part... we're going way off topic. XD

Oh, yeah, I meant feelings xD I didn't mean you WERE talking about vibes, I was just saying it as a response to what you'd posted and my opinion on it. Some people... well, we can't talk about users who've quitted so I won't discuss the "deanna" incident :/ But some people seem to think it's funny to make a benefit or a scene out of quitting people. It's not exactly the equivalent of beggars, but it's equally as annoying...

Not too off-topic - we're talking about attention seekers, who are mainly people who just want attention when they say they're quitting. And beggars are... well, beggars xD

I'ts so annoying how they go: "since your leaving can i have your unipeg? it's not in cash shop park anymore and i think you'd want to give it to me because i can take care of it." CAN BEGGARS CARE FOR ONCE ABOUT THE LEAVING USER AND WISH THEM GOOD LUCK IRL? gosh it's so annoying and i agre with @jupiter_hollow a rule might help prevent this.

I'm not sure about a rule. I think it would just be classified as begging for creature(s). I would like a rule, but not EVERYONE reads the forum rules :/

I always say: I would like to adopt any creatures but if you don't want to give me any thats perfectly fine. I didn't even beg as a newbie because i just sensed it wasn't right.

@zoom150 I wasn't aiming this at anyone. My posts were harsher than I intended them to be, but they're out now, and they're my opinion. They're not going to be EVERYONE'S opinion. We've all made mistakes but we can't undo them.

It's not like you've made it completely extreme and begged them to stay and threaten them or whatever 😊

... and if you had, as long as you don't do it again, it's fine! As long as you learn from your mistakes, etc, you're fine and you won't make those mistakes anymore.

@izzfred Exactly, so the beggars wouldn't read the forum rules. That completely ruins the whole point of putting in the rule in the first place 😋

@karamel I agree. I mean, the same goes for begging creatures of a quitting user. I mean, it is sad to see a friend leave, but people have their priorities and sometimes don't have time to play on Egg Cave, I mean, it's just a website! Like school perhaps. People take the choice to quit so they have a good year at school.

@chapus2009 THANK YOU. *applauds your post as well* Seriously, some people think a game is more important than studies or their job, etc. It is just a game, and creatures are just (very nice and amazing and awesome) drawings. Of course, here, they're of some worth 😋

@daffyduck3500 Again, I go back to the point where you should be sure you want to quit. However, I'm glad that you've stayed 😊 It's always nice to see people deciding to change their mind 😊
