Icepath fetched the herbs and started crushing them together on a fern leaf, panting with the effort of crushing the touch leaves. "Hopefully colsfoot... will help the breathing... and feverfew can... reduce the fever..."

Ripplepaw bristled, but she knew better than to argue with a medicine cat. "Fine!" she spat. She stalked off to the apprentices den, hoping Windpaw was there. Maybe at least one cat would share her anxiousness.

Windpaw broke off from nibbling half-heatedly on a shrew to greet Ripplepaw. "Hi, Ripplepaw... How's the prey running?"

Ripplepaw sighed. "I guess it's running well. I caught a carp and a vole today, but... You know. With Icestar sick and everything, I just wasn't into it." Ripplepaw settled down beside the older apprentice. "Do you think Icestar will get better?" She asked, as a silence formed between the two.

Flameblight decided to go out hunting. She didn't stay for long, and caught a rabbit and a small bluejay. She dropped the fresh-kill on the pile, anxiously waving her tail back and forth. She was worried about her leader.

"I hope so," Windpaw said in a small voice, staring out into the clearing where Icestar was weakly lapping up the crushed leaves. "She can't give up now... Oh... What am I ever going to tell Blazingspirit and Rainstream? They don't know yet... They were fishing by the ThunderClan border."

Icestar woke up, sighing. Her fever was giving her nightmares. Wrinkling her nose at the taste in her mouth, she looked up to see Icepath trying to stuff the leaves in her mouth.

"You're awake!" Icepath mewed, relieved. "The leaves helped a little... Eat more!" She pushed the pile toward Icestar, her whiskers twitching as she noticed the leader's disgusted look.

Flameblight padded over to the warrior's den to see Jaywhisper [I just made up a name 😸 ] sleeping. She tried her best not to disturb the senior warrior as Flameblight crouched on her bed .She just wanted to catch her breath and think for a moment. She only stayed for a minute or two before she went back out.

@arcticwonders Who are Blazingspirit and Rainstream?

Ripplepaw coughed awkwardly, knowing full well that Blazingspirit and Rainstream didn't really have any idea who she was. Ripplepaw got to her paws and sighed. "I guess I'll go visit Flameblight..." Her voice trailed off as she trudged across the clearing to Flameblights nest.

Btw, what's the set up for the camp? In 'Crookedstar's Promise', the warriors have multiple dens for small groups of cats, not one big warriors' den like in ThunderClan.

Sunstar stretched and yawned. The moon was just barely visible in the sky. He licked his lips, thinking, 'There will be a Gathering soon.' He padded out of his den and called to Frogtail, his brother, "Want to go hunting?" Frogtail nodded, and as he left the yew bush that was the warriors den, Frogtail brushed his pelt against his mate, Daisyclaw, who was heavy with Frogtail's kits. Sunstar's whiskers twitched. "I'll have to ask Blossomfall to take her off of patrols." He muttered to himself. Purring as his brother caught up to him, the two toms hunted around the copse, just a bit outside of camp. Sunstar knew Frogtail would be anxious to get back to Daisyclaw, but was also enjoying his time hunting with his brother.

Flameblight stirred awake as she saw Ripplepaw in the clearing.

"Hello Ripplepaw,"

Flameblight purred, shaking out her fur.

(In our Camp, there's one den for each group of cats. Warriors, Apprentices, etc. But they're very roomy dens.)
(Blazingspirit and Rainstream are Icestar's first litter of kits.)

"Um... Okay, see you!" Windpaw called, blinking, confused.

"Hi Flameblight." Ripplepaw mewed glumly, pawing at a small scrap of moss. Ripplepaw fluffed up her fur against the cold wind that cut through camp. "Do you think Icestar will get better?" She asked the warrior, pressing up against Flameblight's shoulder.

Flameblight bit her lip. When she was on her own, she didn't have to worry about others sickness or disease. Now that she was in a Clan, she didn't really know.

"If StarClan is beginning to speak to us, I think it is a good sign. They wouldn't let our leaders fall in a time like this. So yes, I think Icestar will get better."

Ripplepaw made a grumbling sound in her throat. "StarClan have been silent for too long!" She declared. "If they're going to speak to us now by making our leader sick, then StarClan are stupid." Ripplepaw's voice trembled, for fear of Icestar, and anger at StarClan.
Quaking, and in a small voice, Ripplepaw mewed, "I'm gonna hunt now." And padded off to find Blazingspirit and Rainstream. Supposedly her kin, although how could she know better? She had been raised in RiverClan.

Yes, she believes that Icestar is her mother. She doesn't know that her mentor is her 'father', and yeah. Poor, mislead Ripplepaw. Although, seriously. She doesn't know better, and she's close to Icestar. She blacked out in the river as well.😊☹� 😉

Icestar trembled, but the crushed up herbs were working. Though it was still hard to breathe and coughing was common, Icepath had confirmed that she now had Greencough- still deadly, but not like Blackcough. As she stared around the clearing, she saw Ripplepaw run out of the Camp. "Ripple... paw..." she coughed quietly, feeling a pang. <Poor thing... I hope I get better soon, for all of our sakes.>

"I can't believe we're finally seeing the Moonstone!" Mistpaw squeaked excitedly. Her sister, Moonpaw, shoved her affectionately. "Mousebrain, we're just going to Mothermouth, and we won't actually sleep by the Moonstone." Although the white apprentice sounded just as excited as her littermate. Greypaw, who was a moon older, meowed in a superior voice, "Yeah! I mean, um..." Possumpaw, his brother, pounced on him from behind, glancing at Moonpaw as she giggled. They were obviously going to become mates. Mistpaw cuffed Greypaw. "Oh, you can do better than that!"
"Come ON!" Flamewave yowled from the top of the slope. "We'll never make it by nightfall."
"Yeah, like he's been to the Moonstone before, right?" Moonpaw mewed sarcastically in Possumpaw's ear. Graypaw called out to the warrior, "You were sharing our den until two moons ago!" He yowled crossly.
Nightstar appeared over the ridge. "Let's go." She meowed. "With you four in front, and I'll go in back. Flamewave, your in the middle." "Why?" Asked a puzzled Mistpaw. "Cause then Flamewave can nip your heels if you don't move fast, and I can nip his." NightClan lined up precisely and marched on to the Moonstone, with plenty of scuffles between the apprentices, but they were at Highstones by dusk.

As Dreamer waited patiently at Windclan's camp, an odd cat arrived and sat next to her.His pelt was a fiery orange while his deep blue eyes seemed to reflect the stars themselves.
"So... " He purred. "What do you think of Windclan so far, my small and young star?" She looked at him crossly. "Thundersong! Where have you been! It's been days since I last saw you after all!" His reply was "I'm sorry...There was some...Trouble over in Starclan. But don't worry. I'm back to protect you from those scary cats now, so you don't have to be afraid anymore." Dreamer was very annoyed about the fact that he thought she was scared, but decided to stay silent due to the fact that most of the Windclan cats were staring at her.

Nightstar woke up, seeing the apprentices beside her. "So...?" Asked Moonpaw excitedly. "Did you talk with StarClan? What did they say?" "StarClan haven't spoken in a long time, Moonpaw." Nightstar meowed. "There's no reason for tthem to speak to us anymore, now. They believe that there is no hope." Nightstar left some words unspoken in her head. Sure, it was Nightstar who had rallied her Clan when they thought they had failed, but NightClan had pulled through. Nightstar wouldn't be the one to rally StarClan, though. No NightClan warrior would ever visit the Moonstone again. Even if they did, StarClan were officially silent. "Let's go." Nightstar mewed. "I want to be back at camp before dusk."

"That's where you would sleep if you decided to join WindClan."

"The camp looks fantastic!"Dreamer replied quickly.She then jumped towards the den and peeked inside.Soon afterwords, Dreamer returned back to Scarsky. "Scarsky, If I do decide to live here, then who will my mentor be?" She meowed cheerfully.
As for Thundersong, he had decided to leave her alone for a while again. "Starclan still needs my help after all..." He sighed right before he left.

"Gah." Moonpaw stretched. "I'm sooo glad Nightstar gave us the day off for training yesterday." "Mmm-hmmm..." Mumbled Graypaw. Mistpaw yawned.
Moonpaw shook her fur, and mewed, "I'm gonna see if the dawn patrol's left yet. I think Shadepelt might be on it." The white apprentice trotted out of the den to meet a dusky gray warrior, along with a small group of cats. "Come on, Mistpaw!" Moonpaw called. "You're doing training!" "Goodie." Mistpaw mewed sarcastically.

From a tree, Nightstar watched the whole exchange. She purred. Her Clan was running along well. The woods were filled with prey, and the cats of NightClan were getting along just fine.

Dreamer asked impatiently. Truthfully, it wasn't boring at all to her. Everything around her had excited Dreamer. The true reason she wanted to go though was the fierce stares from everyone around her.
