Nightstar crept into her den, exhausted after helping Stormpaw give FireClan lessons to other cats in NightClan. Blackflash was waiting for her, grooming his pelt. "What kept you?"
"FireClan." Nightstar grumbled as she curled up in her nest.
Blackflash nodded, and padded over to Nightstar. Nightstar sighed as he started licking her ruffled pelt. She lifted her head up to touch noses with her deputy, and soon fell asleep. Blackflash curled up next to her; it was a cold night, and frost swept over the NightClan camp.

Silverpaw huffed at the apprentice,"Well gee thanks anyway,and ya I did use a different technique,pretty good for my first time,anyways see ya!"Silverpaw giggled with adevious grin then grabbing the rabbitband running off.

Scarsky's black paws tred on the slick grass. Dew drops were sprinkled on the green sea, scattered in delicate, crystalline orbs of rain. She sprinted after a rabbit, hot in pursuit of the snow white prey. She snatched the bundle of white fur up in a whirl of glinting teeth and a black pelt, holding the fresh-kill by its scruff as she dragged it back to camp.

Ripplepaw looked at Scarsky in envy of the WindClan cat's speed. She shook her head, and took a breath. She would show that cat that RiverClan were just as graceful. Ripplepaw backed up to the edge of the small cliff overlooking the river. She loped easily to the edge, and jumped off the cliff, hoping Scarsky was watching. Ripplepaw plunged into the river at its deepest, spiraling downwards with the water rippling her fur.

Shallowstar walked into her den. Alone. She didn't want to seem like a traitor, but she had to stop Muddypaw. By the way she knew him from a kit, he would be going to the dark forest.
"I must do this. No matter what it costs."

Muddypaw ran through the dark forests of FireClan. Nobody knew he was out. He caught a shrew and ate it. He was snooping up on an owl when he saw a fox.
It was sleeping and didn't notice him.

A wail of grief rose from the nursery. Willowface closed her eyes, but allowed one tear to seep out. Daisyclaw's cry could only mean the youngest of the litter had died. Willowface heaved herself to her paws, and grabbed a few thyme leaves. She padded to the nursery, her heart heavy.
"No, no, my sweet Honeykit!" Daisyclaw whispered to the unmoving lump of golden fur.
"She's gone, Daisyclaw. I'm sorry." Willowface murmured sadly. Frogtail bowed his head in the corner of the den, as Daisyclaw moaned in misery. Willowface pushed the thyme near Daisyclaw and backed out of the den to fetch borage leaves. Two tiny golden kits followed her. One was the spirit of the deceased Honeykit, following her sister's pawsteps.
"Cloverkit?" Willowface asked.
"I'm gonna miss Honeykit."
"We all will," Willowface replied, scooping the golden-brown kit into the curve of her belly. Cloverkit's paws splashed on the wet den floor. "I didn't want her to go!" she wailed miserably.
"Well, you can help your mother and Bearkit and Beaverkit?"
Cloverkit sniffled. "Okay." She mewed meekly. "What herbs are you using?"
"Thyme and borage." Willowface replied.
"Oh." Cloverkit seemed interested.

Scarsky looked up from the clump of fresh-kill that used to be a rabbit, a RiverClan cat catching her eye. Ripplepaw, an apprentice from the well-fed clan, dove into the river. The image seemed unnatural to Scarsky's amber eyes, a cat diving into a river. She cocked her head to one side, and then buried a hole for her rabbit. She would come back for it later, when she was done with her hunt.

Ripplepaw surfaced, blowing water off her whiskers. Her lithe LightningClan shape had definitely helped her dive, although she had no idea she'd once been LightningClan. Ripplepaw jumped out of the river, shaking each paw dry before she went to find Wildtalon and Pikewhiskers, who was recently made a warrior.

Stormpaw streached. Soon he'll have his revenge on Dasiystar. "I know a way into camp." he meowed to Nightstar. "We can fight there. Raid Dasiystar's camp." his eyes darkened. "But we may lose." his gazed had a blood-red glint in them. "Although, we may kill many."

Muddypaw pricked his ears. The owl swooped out from it's tree.
Someone was in the forest. Someone he probably didn't like.
"They'll hate me"
He heard the cat's whispers. "I will not be one of those who will die. I will never be."
He slowly lurked in the undergrowth. He was trying to sneak up on the cats.
Their smell; it was pure Nightclan.
Nightstar, and another cat he didn't know.
His heavy feet were thumping against the leaf covered ground. He wasn't good at sneaking up. He was just a loud apprentice.

Nightstar was woken up by Stormpaw's sudden chatter. "Yes, yes. " she mewed. "Come in. But about the battle, I believe we should catch them at a moment when the most patrols are out. I don't think we should have to kill much to win a battle, and the kits and elders deserve to be spared. But-- wait." Nightstar pricked her ears.
"Follow me." She growled, and stalked out of the den. She sniffed the air. "FireClan. Like we couldn't hear them thumping louder than a fox in a fit."
Nightstar leaped near Muddypaw's hiding place and swiped him around the head, baring her teeth.

A horrible nightmare woke Shallowstar. She ran from her den and into the moors. She didn't care what the other clans thought of her. She had a weird connection with her son. And she knew he was in danger.

Um... no. Stormpaw is just a NightClan prisoner, except he's actually going to join them soon.


Nightstar hauled the apprentice into camp, and shoved him into Stormpaw's old nest between the tree roots, seeing as Stormpaw was now sleeping in the apprentices' den.
"I want a guard on him day and night!" she called to Falconclaw, who left his post on the ridge bordering NightClan camp to guard Muddypaw.

Muddypaw snarled at Falconclaw. He didn't need a stupid warrior to watch him. He could take care of himself. He was almost a warrior.

Falconclaw, waved his brother over with his tail. He ignored Muddypaw.
Flamewave sneered. "The poor little apprentice, caught out on his own. Just be glad the Gathering is so soon. We'll return you then." He turned his back.

Cloverkit put her paws on the stone ledge and took the leaves in her mouth before following Willowface out of the den.

Falconclaw snarled and pinned Muddypaw down, ready to bite the apprentice's neck, but Flamewave stopped him.
"Relax. It's only a FireClan mange-pelt. We'll be rid of him at the next Gathering, which isn't to far off."
The gray tabby looked at the nearly full moon.

Dasiystar, heavy with her third and last litter, padded out of her den. "Shallowstar," she mewed. "tell me why your here...Without that mangy murder (Redeh)."

"You know him?" Nightstar asked, but then shook her head. "Of course you do," she mewed, and flicked her ears. "I want you to go on the dawn patrol with Birdwhisker, Shadowflame, and Windpaw. Tell them that you'll be patrolling the river-border with FireClan. My orders. But for now, go and rest. You only have a few hours."
The sky had started turning pink with the first light of dawn peaking over the horizon.
Nightstar walked away, her head bent close to Blackflash's as they discussed what to do with Shallowstar's son until the Gathering.

Scarsky padded quietly after Shallowstar, curious as to her whereabouts. She had been lucky to find the leader's mysteriously vanishing trail. Lurking behind in protection of the shadows, Scarsky was surprised to see that her leader was in the FireClan camp.

The black she-cat hesitated, wary. Should she intrude in the camp to save her leader, or wait until Shallowstar came out? She couldn't risk Shallowstar alone in a camp of ferocious enemies. Scarsky had no idea how many lives she had left, and it seemed she was losing them too often now. . .

Scarsky silently sneaked into the camp, amber eyes scanning for a flash of her leader's grey (?) pelt. She was being pinned down by a FireClan cat, presumably a warrior.

"She means no harm, Brokenfur. My leader comes in peace."

Scarsky acknowledged with a burning amber gaze. Her eyes rested on the cat, narrowing in resentment but not daring to defend. After all, Shallowstar was an intruder.

Shallowstar was getting old. It had been many moons since she returned to the forest. It's been even more. Her only child left was not even in her own clan anymore!
Shallowstar pricked her ears. "Scarsky!" She squirmed out of Brokenfur's paws and stood up. "This isn't what it looks like." she heaved, "I am not a traitor."

Muddypaw had a plan; sneak out.
It was dark. Moonhigh. All the cats were asleep. He crept from his den, and his guardian was lazily asleep.
"Amateur" Muddypaw whisperd to himself.
He darted out of camp and into the pine forest. Nightclan's pine covered soil was hard on his mixture of Fireclan and Windclan paws.

Flamewave blinked awake. He looked behind himself, and prodded his brother. "Falconclaw. Falconclaw! We just let the prisoner escape!"
Falconclaw raised his head, startled. "If I catch that mangy snake-tongued apprentice, I'll shred him!" Falconclaw snarled.
"Relax." His brother assured him Nightstar's reasonable. She'll find a way to sort this out... After she's punished us."
Both brothers hung their heads in shame, and padded towards Nightstar's den, knowing she would not appreciate they had ruined her night's rest, but also let Muddypaw escape.
