"No." Nightstar spat angrily. "You will remain here until we receive an answer from FireClan on how are Clans are going to survive without killing each other over YOU." she lashed her tail angrily and bounded up the rocks to her den.

Um, two days ago and Redstar killed her (he did what Scourge did to Tigerstar, wiping clean her last two lives.)

Froststripe smiled weakly at Stormpaw.
"I don't care." Bluebird dismissed Stormpaw's comment. "It's not like she'll make him a warrior before Berrypaw; he still has to stop attempting to destroy FireClan."
Froststripe shook her head before padding into the warrior's den. "Bluebird, we were just trying to HELP him destroy FireClan. Don't turn on him now when not so long ago you were on his side." Froststripe turned into her den while Bluebird stared at her, dumbfounded.

Berrypaw padded out of the apprentices' den, yawning, before walking over to Stormpaw. "Come on," she mewed. "Bluebird's only going to try to discourage you from being a warrior. I think you were brave." Berrypaw smiled sweetly. "We'll talk more in the den, before Bluebird can say anything more." the tortoiseshell's green eyes darted towards the gray she-cat, who was curling her lip at Stormpaw. "Just ignore her."

Icestar pressed her fangs into the mouse's neck, satisfied at the resounding snap that followed. Dropping the rodent on the ground, she scraped dirt over it before continuing to pad down the riverbank. Glancing up at the sky, she was pleased to see that there was an absence of clouds. That would mean good hunting for the Clans. Her whiskers twitched, and she narrowed her ice-blue eyes as an almost undetectable breeze swam through her fur. It was calm, yet it almost seemed that a storm was brewing deep in the earth.

Ripplepaw cocked her head to scent the breeze the wafted through the trees. Icestar's faint scent was carried on the wind, as well as a few green leaves that had been torn off the trees on the other side of the river. The work of clumsy dogs, no doubt.
Ripplepaw padded down to a small stream of water outside the camp wall. She followed it to the main river, where she peered into its depths. The water itself was gray, but clear. Ripplepaw looked at the sky, seeing only blue with a few stray white puffs floating lazily across the horizon. Interesting weather for a gray river. Murky waters usually meant a storm was coming.

Sunstar gazed around at his Clan. They had been losing cats lately. The first cat to die had been Dawnwater. She had died of a sickness she caught when the camp flooded, or so Willowface had said when she buried the elder. The second to die was Frogtail and Daisyclaw's son, Beaverkit.
All around him, Sunstar's Clan was falling sick, and he could do nothing to help. Only a few sunrises ago his daughter Blossomfall had come down with a bad cough, which soon spread to her sisters and brother, Amberpaw. Sunstar stared up at the sky, where darker clouds were edging towards the clear blue that was currently overhead. Sunstar closed his eyes and desperately prayed that the darks shadows were not an omen of doom for his Clan.

Shallowstar mourned in her den. She never likes Brokenfur, or the other leaders. She was sickly as well, she was more than skin and bone. She hasn't been able to go to the past gatherings because she has been so weak. Now, she had no point to live. Her sister like deputy, Nightscar, had died due to a horrid blackcough, and now her kit, Frostfeather, took her place. Muddyfoot was in Fireclan and Riverpaw had died.

She called in a sickly tone, "Reddapple, please come here."
Quickly enough, she came. The medicine cat was old too, but younger than Shallowstar.
"End me tonight." Shallowstar commanded.
Reddapple gasped, "No! I will not feed you deathberries."
"I am already suffering enough, just let me move on," Shallowstar wailed.
Sadly, Reddapple fetched the berries. "Would you like me to make an announcement?"
"Yes, please. And make sure Redstar and Muddyfoot are there well."

Nightstar had slipped out of camp a while ago. She had gone unnoticed, but Nightstar had no doubt her Clan would discover her absence before long. However, it was nice to get away from the commotion that had consumed the NightClan cats. "Was it wise," she asked herself, "to welcome Stormpaw into the Clan? He has caused nothing but trouble. Perhaps he will harden his resolve when Daisystar dies. Until then, I can promise him nothing."
Nightstar sat upon a pine tree in the midst of her territory. Taking a deep breath, she lifted her nose to the wind, where the moon hung in the sky, a shadow left behind by the previous night. Clouds darkened the sky, scuttling over the sun before drifting away. Along with the scents of the pines and prey, there came a stench of sickness and death from the surrounding territories. The Clans' territories were to small for comfort these days. The borders always being pressed, frequent skirmishes breaking out... Perhaps the clouds over the sun were an omen of things to come. Hopefully they would not effect Nightstar's Clan.

Reddapple stood a stump that Shallowstar always stood on. She gulped in a deep breath. "Shallowstar has lost her final life!"
The warriors howled. Frostfeather was falling apart; her mother had died. When she looked in the den, she choked up. Her gaunt mother lay there, unmoving.
"No, it can't be!" She hissed. "I'm not the leader now, I'm not!"
Reddapple placed her tail on the new leader. "You must go recieve you nine lives, young one."

Frostfeather stood on the other side of the Thunderoad. She shuddered, while monsters roared down it. She had to reach the moonstone, she had to. She took a deep breath, and sprinted between a gap of monsters. Frostfeather had barely made it across in time. Just barely had she lived.
She padded into the cave. It was dark and damp. The sound of dripping water echoed. It was a beautiful sight, the Moonstone, that few saw. She began towards it, and gently laid her body against the floor. It was chilling, but then it felt like nothing when she placed her nose upon the stone. It was tingling at first, but then she fell asleep.

She awoke in a starry field. Nine cats stood before her.
"Welcome, new leader." Purred a voice of a tom.
"Rayeyes? Is that really you?" She asked of who she thought was her best friend as a kitten.
He nodded, "Yes, it is me Frostfeather."
Her sister walked up to Frostfeather. "It is time that you recieve your nine lives."

Nightstar jumped a little when she heard Daisystar's voice. She had trouble seeing the faint outline of her friend, but the voice was unmistakeable. "Daisystar...?" she breathed. "Who do you... Do you mean Stormpaw? Please don't go yet, I have so much to ask you!"

She looked at her old friend as she started to dissappear. "I can not reach Brokenstar. Tell him this message. This is for both of you..."

"No!" Nightstar cried, leaping to her paws. "Tell me the message!" The pine branch beneath her swayed dangerously from her sudden movement. "What do you need help with? How can I reach you?" but soon, the black she-cat was talking to a being she could no longer see.
Nightstar jumped out of her tree, landing heavily on her paws. She raced to camp, bursting through the brambles into the midst of her Clan. "Blackflash!" she called.
"He's gone on patrol." Foxfur mewed as she passed by, Robinkit, Marshkit, and Redkit trailing her.
Nightstar turned her head around. "Foxfur, tell Yelloweye I'm going to the moonstone. I trust he will tell Blackflash when he returns from patrol."
"Why are you going to the moonstone? StarClan has been silent for moons."
Nightstar shook her head. "No, they haven't. I have just been visited by a fallen friend. If I can see her by tonight at moonhigh, perhaps she can tell me the message she wanted to deliver." Nightstar spun around and ran across her territory and into the moors. She could only hope WindClan wouldn't stop her on her journey.

Riverpaw, Shallowstar, Rayeyes, Tangletail, Mossfire, Oakstripe, Fishfoot, Hawktalon, and Flutterkit; each of them approached Frostfeather and gave her a different life. Although she wanted to ask so many things, the dream faded way too quickly. As she aroused to her feet, she felt stronger and younger. She felt like a leader.
As she was making her way back to camp, she smelt Nightclan. Nightstar to be exact. Quickening her pace, she found the Nightclan leader trying to pass through the edge of her territory.
"Nightstar, what are you doing in my territory?" She was quite furious.

"Frostfeather!" Nightstar gasped. "Get out of my way; I have to make it to the moonstone!" she darted forward, attempting to weave around the new leader's shoulders. (She doesn't know it's FrostSTAR now)

She began to walk with Nightstar along her territory.

Brokenstar sat beneth HighRock, watching his calm Clan. Nothing seemed to be going on. Plus, he was a little worried. Daisystar, or even StarClan, hasn't been...active.

Nightstar's fur was fluffed up. She kept glancing at the moon, which was sinking lower in the sky. Her paws were shaking with anticipation, and finally, she ran forward. Nightstar was out of breath already, but she had no choice. "I'm sorry, Froststar!" she called. "I have to hear Daisystar's message!" her voice drifted away over the wind.

Brokenstar glanced at the sky. The moon was sinking. Well, he hasn't gotten any sleep, so might as well do it now. He padded inside the den, just to turn around to a dim shine behind him.

Nightstar ran along the moors until she felt the rough rock of Mothermouth beneath her paws. Nightstar hadn't cared enough to look behind her, just to see if Froststar was following. Froststar was a fool if she thought she could keep Nightstar from the moonstone. Nothing could stop her from hearing Daisystar's message!
The moon was low in the sky, but still high enough so Nightstar could contact her fallen friends in StarClan. Taking a deep breath, she plunged into the tunnel that led to the moonstone. She had to slow down to navigate the tunnel, but it was lighter than usual, so she made her paws move a bit faster to save time.
