Redstar!
Brokenstar folded his ars back. "What do you what? You...Daisystar...She killed out! No-noone should even remember you!"
"You fool." Redstar sneered. "I killed HER first. I survived. Now, tell me, you have what," Redstar's thorn-sharp long claws unshethed. "8 lives left?"
"No." Brokenstar hissed. "I will never tell you!"

Sunstar's Clan had been subjected to a light rain that barely touched FireClan territory, and went halfway into NightClan's. He and his clan sat grieving the loss of Owlflight, a dark brown tom who was growing gray afters years of service to his Clan. Blossomfall was only getting sicker, though Ravenclaw had recovered, and Mousewing was not far behind. Sunstar's son had remained the same, no sicker and no better. He was rejecting food now, saying Daisyclaw and Blackbird needed it more than he. Wildheart did most of the hunting nowadays, her tortoiseshell pelt muddy and wet after spending days searching for food for her dying Clan. Blackstorm and Bumbletail usually joined her, being the only two toms who remained healthy, mentally, and physically.
Sunstar's heart ached for Wildheart. She would rather not have any cat know, but she was expecting Blackstorm's kits, and was entirely dismayed when she found out. She was, after all, LightningClan's primary hunter. Sunstar would have to ask her to let Blackbird take responsibility for hunting, though it would involve Blackbird leaving her only kit in camp.

She watched the NightClan leader cross Thunderoad and head into the cave. She gave a sigh and re-began her trek back to camp. But was going through her mind was not who her deputy was to be; it was what to do with her brother.

Reddappled wandered off. She needed to let Muddyfoot know of his mother's death. He needed to know.

Muddyfoot licked his fur, flattening the ends that stood up. An odd feeling was making him dizzy. He just needed fresh air. He walked out of the camp, and he began to stroll the border.

Nightstar burst through the opening of the cave, beholding the few glorious moments she had to admire the beauty of the moonstone. She ran across the dark floor, and skidded to a stop before lying down and touching her nose to the glittering stone. Almost instantly she was in StarClan's hunting grounds, but they were barren. Just as they had been before her leadership ceremony. Nightstar flicked her tail. Perhaps she should find Daisystar herself, before she awakened.

Sunstar and Willowface had buried Owlflight quickly, so they could return to LightningClan camp. Dawn was just breaking over the trees, and Sunstar called his Clan together, for just the exact opposite of what they were expecting.
"My friends," he began. "I call you together to witness the beginnings of a new warrior. Snowkit, you have reached the age of six moons, it is time for you to become an apprentice warrior. Your mentor will be..." Sunstar tried not to delay for too long, so he said the first name that came to mind, "Wildheart!" As soon as he said it, he regretted his choice. But he must continue with his speech. "Wildheart, I hate to put this kind of stress onto you, but it is my hope you will pass all your skills onto Snowpaw, so he may become as great a warrior as you." Sunstar nodded, nearly satisfied. "But I also regret to inform you, that I fear our Clan is dying. We have lost too many cats in recent moons, especially for a Clan so small. Many more have fallen sick, and I am lucky to have two of my daughters fully recovered from illness, but this cannot happen again. At the next Gathering, we will have had to make up our minds: either face the troubles StarClan brings us as a Clan, or leave the our fate in the paws of the other Clans. It is your choice to make, and I will not stand in the way of your decisions."

Froststar reached her camp, it was awkwardly empty. And Reddapple was nowhere to be found. She just simply assumed that she was out fetching herbs. She took a deep breath, the sun was beginning to set; she had to find a deputy. Then after that, she'd tell her brother. She went in her den and began her train of thought.

Reddapple sprinted. She wanted to be back before moon high. She reached the Fireclan border, and cautiously, she waited, hopefully for Muddyfoot. That's when she smelt him.

He padded along the border, nearing the Windclan border. He wanted to see his sisters, Frostpaw and Riverpaw, or whatever their names were now. He hadn't seen them in forever. The he picked up a recognizable scent; Reddapple's.

Sunstar's cats gasped, but a few of them were nodding sadly in agreement with his words. Sunstar looked at the remaining cats of his Clan. Nine warriors, two queens, three apprentices, two kits, and the medicine cat, Willowface. Some were sick, and others were near exhaustion from hunting for prey that no longer resided in their territory.
Willowface met Sunstar's eyes. Hers were a cloudy blue now, full of sadness. "It's time." they exchanged a silent message.
Wolfpaw and Amberpaw sat together, sliding long glances at their father.
Sunstar tightened his jaw, determined to look like a leader for the sake of his Clan, but he turned around. He was defeated. Sunstar had to face the facts. LightningClan couldn't go on.

Daisystar turned to see Nightstar.
"Nightstar!" she gasped. "Whate are you doing here?" a couple of other StarClan cats appeared behind her, Spottedstar, a leapard she-cat (the leader before Redstar), Stonemoon, a gray tom with white spots (the former medicine cat), and Flamestar, a orange-and-brown tabby tom. (the second leader of FireClan, before Yellowstar.)

"Nightstar," Flamestar stepped forward. "You seem...familar. Have I seen you before?"

((He can be a friend, lost-brother, or whatever you want. Or he could've just seen you somewhere. LOL.))

"Daisystar... I came to hear the message you had for me, and for Brokenstar." Nightstar resisted the urge to run up to her old friends' sides, and talk to them about the troubles that Clans faced, but she must stay strong. Like a true leader who supports and depends on her Clan.

And unless Flamestar is a former rogue who's name was either Pitch or Storm, he cannot be Nightstar's brother. He could, however, be an aunt's uncle's second cousin's once removed's friend's owner's sister's cat's nephew.

Flamestar twitched his ears. "Beware the cat with blood on his paws."

Daisystar nodded. "Yes. The cat I am talking about is, belive it or not, isn't Redstar. It will be my one of my daughter's, Redmaple (the medicine cat apprentice, kit. I don't know the kit's name yet. But he will be Half-Clan. He will be Half-StormClan."

"And will hold a grudge on every living cat." Flamestar finnished.

Stoneleg, they had called him, for he had once ran across the brick alleys of Twolegplace so swiftly, until once upon a time his blood stained his aunt's claws. Nightstar shuddered at the memory of protecting her younger sister's only kit. 'Cats have died for Shadepelt.' she thought. 'At my paws.'

"I understand." Nightstar sighed. Her vision of the StarClan cats was starting to grow brighter and fuzzier; she was waking up. "Good bye, Daisystar. Flamestar." she mewed as she disappeared from StarClan's hunting grounds with a black flash. She woke in the Moonstone cavern with sunlight streaming through the skylight. "Stay with me, old friends."

Brokenstar watched as Mistymoon and Redmaple padd back and forth in their den. Somthing was up. He tilted his head.
"Redmaple!" he called, and the Redstar-she-cat padded over to him.
"Yes, Brokenstar?"
"What's up? Something's bugging you guys." Brokenstar said.
"Um," Redmaple shuffled her paws. "Well, um," she tried to think of something. She couldn't tell her leader she was having a StormClan's cats' kits! Only her mentor knew
"Well?"
"Um," Redmaple shook her head. "I really don't know. I'm just listening to Mistymoon."

((Oh, yeah, Redmaple is one of Maplefrost's litter. Not Daisystar's.))

Nightstar headed back to her territory, but took the long way through Twolegplace. Blinking, she instinctively turned down and alley and met the stench of blood. A growl sounded from the back of the alley. "Hello, Pitch." Nightstar said without turning around. "Come to avenge your son?"

Sunstar's restless sleep was interrupted by Willowface padding into his den. "Why did you make Wildheart a mentor?" she demanded. "Do you know what she's going through right now? She expecting KITS, for StarClan's sake. Oh, I know she doesn't want me to know, but she can't keep it secret forever. She hunting for the whole Clan by herself, you know, and now you've only added to her troubles!" Willowface's clear blue eyes glared at Sunstar furiously.

Reddapple heaved and panted; she was out of breath. Medicine cat's didn't get much exercise. "Muddyfoot," she took a deep sigh. "Come here."

Muddyfoot pricked his ears... who was calling his name? "Hello, who's there?" He put his nose up to the wind; Windclan. Was it his mother again. He wasn't a baby anymore, he didn't need her to continuously check up on him!

He pushed up from the ground and jumped over some undergrowth to find Reddapple, the medicine cat that birthed him. "What, are you doing here?" If she was here, this was important.

"Your mother.." she had to pause to breathe. "Is..." she choked back, this was harder to say than she thought. "Dead."

Muddyfoot gasped in horror. Although he hated his mother, there was no way she was dead. "Liar." He growled, and sprinted back into camp. Tripping over several kits and scaring some elders. And for the first time, in many, many moons, he cried.

"Night!" Pitch's voice said from the back of the alley. Nightstar turned around, smiling. "I missed you so much since you've gone to the forest, little sister." Pitch mewed as he raced to nuzzle Nightstar.
Nightstar was shocked. "So... You're not angry about your son? I'd thought you would kill me when you found me..."
"I could never hurt my little sis," Pitch purred. His tone darkened. "Besides, I know you were only protecting Shade. Don't you remember our promise to Cloud? We said we'd always protect Shady. Stoneleg nearly killed her, and you kept Shady safe. That's what matters."
Nightstar sighed in relief. "Thank you, Pitch. For understanding. I didn't want to hurt him. He was my kin too."

Redmaple padded away from her mother's father. Only three cats knew her secret: she's having kits. The cats are her mentor, Mistymoon, her mother, Maplefrost, and her father, Redstar. Not even her mate, Volcanoice of StormClan, didn't know. This was terrible.
She shook her head.
"Redmaple!"
Her mentor's call startled her.
"Oh, yes, Mistymoon?"
"Do you know when they are due, or at least, what to do?" Mistymoon's gray ears flicked.
"Um, a moon or two, I think. Yes, I do know what to do." Redmaple said.
"Good," Mistymoon said, handing her poppy seeds.
"What's this for?"
"Falconpaw. Saids his paws hurting, and I don't see anything wrong. I want to see if this helps. Oh, and go check on Brackenleaf for me, 'kay?"
"Kay."

Sunstar got himself to his feet and pushed past Willowface. "Bring the whole Clan to the Gathering, Willowface. Everyone." he padded out of his den. "Maybe the other Clans will take us in."
Wildheart looked around wildly. Why had Sunstar given her an apprentice when the Clan was falling apart? "Snowpaw?" she whispered. "Snowpaw, where are you?"
"Here!" came Snowpaw's reply through the crowd of cats that were milling around.
"Snowpaw, find your parents." Wildheart ordered, sitting down. "We need to talk."

Brokenstar raised his head. It was time for the Gathering. NightClan was probally already there. As always, FireClan was late.
"Let all cats old enough to catch thier own prey, join here, benth the HighRock for a Clan meeting!" he yowled.
Cats gathered.
"Snakebite, Mistymoon, Redmaple, Maplefrost, Scourgeheart, Diamondshine, Redstripe, Hawkheart, Grassfur, and anybody else (*is too lazy to type others. LOL) who wants to come, let's go to the Gathering!"

His Clan padded towards the Gathering site.

Stormpaw waited for Nightstar. Was he going to the Gathering, he wondered.
"Hey, Berrypaw," he said. "You going to the Gathering?"

Pitch and Nightstar walked into NightClan territory, but Nightstar stopped and headed to the Gatheringplace. "Come on, Pitch. Black will be at Four Trees with my Clan, or at least they'll be on their way soon."

"Huh?" Berrypaw jumped in surprise. "Oh, um, no. I probably have to wait another moon to go for my first time."

"Blackbird? Oakleaf? I'm leaving. I can't stay in LightningClan... I won't wait for the other Clans to pity us. I'm going to make a living in NightClan, if they'll have me. They'll at least take my kits, but they wouldn't separate us. I want to take Snowpaw, so I can be his mentor still, but you would have to come. Please, come with me." Wildheart suddenly felt so defeated, so vulnerable. Her eyes pleaded with Snowpaw's parents.
Blackbird and Oakleaf exchanged look, and nodded at Wildheart. Snowpaw's brother and sister had died here. Snowpaw couldn't remeber, but Blackbird did. It was time to leave this broken territory and Clan behind them.

Wildheart lead her friends and apprentice alongside the stream that cut off LightningClan territory from NightClan's. The four cats easily hopped over, and proceeded to walk into the tangled undergrowth of NightClan's home.

Froststar was miserably late. Her clan followed. As she darted in towards the Four Trees, she apologized. "I'm sorry my tardiness, I'm new to the responsibilitys!"

She hopped up to her spot on the Great Rock and was beet red underneath her fluffy white fur.

Blackflash called out the names of the cats that would be attending the Gathering. Stormpaw wad the last name he called, among others, such as Starlingflight, Moonfrost, Possumheart, and Yelloweye. "We leave immediately!" he called, and ran through the brambles that were the entrance to camp, with a stream of warriors following him.

Nightstar watched the Clans gather at Fourtrees, hers not mingled with them. 'Blackflash will be here,' she told herself, and jumped down from her favorite tree branch nearby, and walked into the clearing, headed towards the Great Rock with her brother trailing behind warily.

LightningClan walked into the Fourtrees looking like a band of defeated rogues. Their fur was unclean, their ribs showing through their unkempt pelts. Instead of hopping onto the Great Rock, Sunstar sat below with his Clan, a leader no longer.
