Firan heard a scream and motioned for Unbrich to follow, "What happened?" He asked as he ran into the nursery.

Unbrish followed.

"I'm going to kill him!!!!!" Noctus roared, already taking after the scent trail of Kalo. He saw him. "I challenge you to a dual of death in the arena!" he snarled.

Firan and Kaji gaped.

Firan sent a signal for all dragon's to gather.

Tashu was already there, "No Noctus don't!" She said.

Everyone gasped. The arena only allowed pure fighting. Meaning no weapons or items. Magic was sometimes allowed. Kalo looked at Noctus and laughed.

Yugana's eyes were full of sadness, she turned to Firan, " K-kalo... he killed the n-nurses and hatchlings!" she sobbed.

Firan roared, "NOCTUS KILL HIM!"

Kaji roared, "DO IT FOR ZACK!!"

Tashu understood and yelled, "KICK HIS BUTT!"

Noctus snarled, trying to ignore the panic and uproar and pleads around him. "I was worng to ever have trusted you..." Noctus growled, half crying to himself in frustration, half whispering in "why" tones to Kalo. "It's all my fault that those nurses died, that Mira was poisoned, that you almost stole Yugana, that Zack was killed, and that those hatchlings are gone now." Nothing but pure hatred clouded his eyes now.

Kalo jumped on Noctus and slashed him. He then used a smoke bomb to disappear and reappear behind Unbrish and taking her as hostige, "Anyone move and she dieds! Hahaha!" Kalo laughed.

Firan understood the hate in Noctus's eyes. It was the same hate he felt for the human that had killed his mate.
He saw Kalo grab Unbrich and Firan did a quick disappear and appeared behind the two. He grabbed Kalo by his neck, "Don't move or you die."

Tashu was glad Noctus understood the real side of Kalo. She had seen that side many years ago.

Kaji's eyes swam with hate as he stared bullets at Kalo. He saw Kalo and did the same as Firan and appeared by his throat.

Unbrish squirmed beneath Kalo's grasp.

Noctus realized that Kalo had made a big mistake. He threw a smoke bomb down. So neither he nor Kalo could see. He crept silently around, squinting his eyes to look for Kalo.

The smoke disappeared.

Kalo was trying to squirm out of Firan's grasp, but was unable.

Yugana turned to Noctus, "Kill him."

Noctus turned on him. "Kaji, come. Watch the death of the one we hate." He lunged forward, grabbing Kalo in a deathlock, plunging his fangs deep into his throat, and feeling scarlet blood well around his mouth.

Kaji was disappointed that he could not kill Kalo but moved so that Noctus may.

Firan kept a firm grip and Tashu stood by Kalo's ear and whispered, "As I said many years ago your pride and jealousy would lead to your demise."

In a few minutes, Kalo had died. His body landed in a thut. Yugana saw his body on the ground. Taso, Mira and Fengo were also watching

Noctus's eyes were red, his body trembling, his claws and fangs stained red with blood, and his eyes clouded with hatred, distrust, and grief. He padded away slowly.

Unbrish nuzzled Firan, trying to get away from Kalo. "I can't believe I ever..." she began.

Kaji watched Kalo's death right next to Noctus and didn't flinch or anything as he died. He turned to Noctus and bowed, "Thank you Noctus."

Firan watched and nodded.

Tashu had pulled away from Kalo as he had been struck and watched and followed Noctus so that they could talk.

Yugana slowly walked away. She then walked over to Noctus and said, " You did what you needed to do."

Fengo walked away, trying not to cry. Mira and Taso followed.

Noctus nodded to Kaji and Yugana slowly. "But that doesn't change the fact that this is murder," he said quietly. He turned to Tashu, noticing she wanted to talk to him.

Kaji walked away from Kalo's body.

Tashu caught up with Noctus, "Noctus we need to talk."

@chapus2009 Is it ok if I say something that has to do with Kalo doing something bad. Like early signs of madness.

Tashu sighed, "Well about a year after you left the palace Kalo began to act weird. Everyone thought it was Because his best friend had left but I knew better. I confronted him and asked him what was up. He then tried to kill me but I got away. A few months later I saw him leave the palace with a dragon he had just had a dispute with. And you know him always holding a grudge so I became suspicious and followed. He took the dragon into the forest and he first talked to the dragon as if they were friends and then he became crazy. He attacked the dragon and ripped his throat out. He saw me and I ran away he however cornered me and we fought. I narrowly escaped with my life, he was mad and you did many dragons a favor by getting rid of him." She said sadly.

"Oh, I KNOW I did everybody a favor by getting rid of him. But it doesn't change the fact that I've murdered yet another dragon." Noctus sighed.
