Avery scooped further away, shielding her face from his piercing eagle eyes. She was too afraid that mabe the boy could discover the scar and run away like many people before. And her blood red eyes and wings didn't help with the friend finding business as well.

Jane sniffed the air looking around. She wondered if Melissa was in trobble. She hadnt come looking for her, nor did she ever see any other Mutants. She lay there on a fallen tree, her body became cold as a gust of wind went through her fur. She jumped down and tummbled head over heels, then got up and climbed a tree. Her small extearear made it nearly impossible. She got a few feet up before tumbling to the ground into a pile of leaves.

Melissa was in her room, ripping pillows and thrashing her room. She then threw herself to her bed and started crying.

Jane finally got up to the first limb of the tree. She climbed up a few more, soon she could see alot of the forest, she seen Melissa's house. As if in a trance she took a step forword. Witch was a step to many, she began hurtuling down twords the hard ground below. She let out a blood curtuling meow that eched through the forest.

Drake then heard a scream. He then ran to the scream and saw a cat, on the floor. He was not sure if it was dead, so he ran over to Jane.

Janes body lay lifeless on the forest floor. It shifted into her half form, she felt her leg and head throb in pain and she couldnt feel her left arm and she was thrust into darkness. (AKA she was nocked out cold)

Drake took her pulse. She was alive. But her life was hanging by a string. He needed to get to the hospital, and fast. But dressed the way he was? No way. But he still carried Jane and ran to the closest city.

Jane felt herself being picked up by something strong. Her eyes opened a bit to see a egeal face and then she faided off into a deep sleep once more. She knew he was running, but where to? If anyone else found her they could take her back to captivity.... She knew all this would happen. But she couldnt do anything to stop it now...

Drake then looked at the girl. He brought her to the hospital, screaming. A doctor soon came and took Jane to the Emergency Room. Everyone was looking at the Wild, who had risked his liberty to help a Slave. It was a never before seen situation.

Jane felt herself being rushed into a small room and a her eyes opened a little. She was finallt consius and her body still throbed with pain, the doctor dialed a number and then a few nurses came in with a needel a large pumb thing and a mask. "This will only hurt for a second" The doctor soothed as he stuck the large needle into her skin.

Jane winced at the pain and a woman put a mask over her face. She guessed they where going to operate. She faided off back to sleep.

A doctor walked into the room where the Wild was. " The Slave will most likely be alright. She is in intensive care now, she is always mummbling ' Thank him, i need to thank him' So we belive it is you." The doctor told the Wild.

"Well, yes I am. I saw her as she fell from a tree in her garden, but she was in her animal form. So it was merely an accident." Drake said. He lied, because she was in the forest and not the garden.

"Yes, yes" The doctor mummbled and looked at his clip bored. " If you would like to speak with her she is in room 56B on the 2nd floor" The doctor said walking away.

Jane woke up, she looked around. She was in a large room with white walls and there was a tray of food next to her. She was hungry but didnt eat anything. She looked out the window and seen a bird fly past. She sighed.

Drake then walked along the rooms and made it to Jane's room. He then walked in and sat on a bench next to her bed. The eagle mutant then smiled at her, happy to know she was ok.

Silently gliding across the lily plastered pond, Vex sighed. What happened to the girl, the nurse and the needle? he wondered. Earlier he had an encounter with another wild and a rich girl. The sting of pain in his head was the only thing that was relavent. Something had caused him to temporarly lose his memory

Vex paddled about, then dove through the murky depths. Before he returned to the surface, he was in his otter form. Slinking out of the water, he edged along until he came across two female voices. The familar timbre echoed through the trees. Left out a soft squeak, Vex dashed into the underbrush.
