Cyron's first thought was; Very funny. And complete rubbish. He almost screwed it up into a ball, but then stopped, looking at his mum again. She didn't realize her son's reaction, and so said, with emotion, like she hadn't accepted yet that she was losing her second child as well to this school, "I can take you to the shops."This was completely strange. It wasn't April fool's, and Cryron's birthday was in May. For now though, he decided to play along. Perhaps it would be amusing. He nodded, and she led him to the car a little like a zombie.

@trish Yep. X3 I could have her go there first, if you like?
trish • 4 April 2012 at 12:56 AM
@silver_winged Kay. c: FYI, Jason's no social butterfly, but he's chill. XPJason stopped at the door of Flourish and Blotts. Then thought, 'Might as well sit here and read a bit. Getting a headstart is good."

@trish Phoebe's no talker either, but she'll be happy to stand next to him? XDSuddenly, Phoebe's aunt spun around and made an exclamation of "ah!" Phoebe felt her heart sink; each realization she seemed to experience was followed by an unpleasant experience. A small part of her wondered whether this was all some convoluted dream. "We'll get your books first," her aunt declared, tugging her by the wrist into a nearby store. A large wooden sign that extended from the building read "Flourish and Botts."Phoebe lingered by the door while her aunt darted between bookshelves like a ferret through the grass, occasionally selecting a heavy volume that she added to the pile in her arms. The young girl's eyes wandered throughout the store. She felt comforted by the large stock of books; the store smelled like paper and leather old wooden floor, and glowed dimly with something akin to candlelight. Close to the door, she laid eyes on a boy that seemed to be around her age. The term "first-year" came to mind. She didn't wave. Rather, she peered at him over her rectangular spectacles, hands stuffed into the pockets of her peacoat.
trish • 4 April 2012 at 1:11 AM
Jason flipped a page over in his book when he noticed a girl looking at him. He raised an eyebrow, but gave a small nod over to the girl with the rectangular glasses. Then his eyes wandered up to the girl's possible guardian, then back at his book.

He was finding this joke less and less attractive the longer the car rolled on through the depressing urban landscape. In fact, if Cyron had been driving, he'd be half way back home by the time they finally crawled to a stop outside a tiny, grubby pub. Cyron restrained himself from pointing out he was still underage, and followed his mum inside. "Mrs Kimura?" A man there frowned quizzically at them after they entered."Yes," Cyron's mother said vaguely. "Hello.""I take it your son got the letter then?" He inquired and she nodded. "I'll let you through then."The man led them out the back of the pub, and Cyron couldn't help but be relieved to leave that weirdo-filled dump for fresh air. At that point, he had no idea what he was getting himself into. When the man tapped a brick and the entire wall disintegrated, he started to get an inkling.

@trish @asi @etcPhoebe froze in place as the boy seemed to notice her. Her shoulders stiffened in fright and embarrassment; she could positively melt into the wall. Her worries were abated slightly as he merely nodded and returned to his book. Her aunt had disappeared within the maze of shelves.Curious but almost shameful, she leaned forward, trying to catch the title of the book the boy was reading. Her still unbrushed blonde hair floated in unkempt strands around her face.

"You can manage from here?" The guy asked, and Cyron's mother answered in affirmitave. Seeing the crazy assortment of flashy shops, and crowds of people wearing strange robes and pointy hats, he suddenly began to question his own sanity, especially after a kid put on a hat only for his entire head, hat and all, to disappear into thin air. "Mum. Could you please explain what is going on?" He calmly gave up and asked. She sighed. "Cyron. Your father was a Wizard. And your sister is a witch. I... Didn't want to tell you, because what if you wanted to be one too, but weren't? I didn't know, you see, until you got that letter."He was stunned. This was huge. Unbelievable. But, as he watched the kid's head reappear after he removed the invisible hat, he supposed he had seen it.His mother appeared to have finally recovered her spirits, shot him a smile and grabbed his arm. "Shopping, right? Have you got your list?" Cyron nodded and pulled it put, keeping his act together. "What do you need?""Err," he decided to start with the simple stuff. "Books.""This way then!" she said cheerily, pulling him into a nearby shop.

"Hogwarts, A History." Jason said out loud. He then stood up and walked over to the girl."May I help you?" he asked a little too coldly. But Jason also took in bits of her. They might be friends, if Jason didn't make Slytherin, of course. Seriously, I'm HOPING for Slytherin. XD
asi • 4 April 2012 at 2:19 AM
@Trish I always hope for Slytherin, and this is no exception 😋Cyron's mother approached a shop assistant, who immediately found her the first year set, then started trying to sell her some book on easy housekeeping magic. Cyron prayed that she wasn't thinking of making him do the cleaning now while he waited for her to finish paying. Eventually he began wandering around the shop, bored, as his mother and the assistant began to get very off topic; apparently the assistant also watched Shortland Street or something. He came to a stop infront of a book with a mythical creature he recognized as a Chimera drawn in stunningly realistic-looking colours, crouched, poised to pounce. He stared for a moment, then he became aware of other kids his age in the shop. Cyron's eyes never left the book, but he observed the heavy atmosphere carefully.
silver_winged • 4 April 2012 at 2:20 AM
@trish I'm hoping for Ravenclaw, but Slytherin might work too. I think I'd die a little inside if any of my characters got Hufflepuff. XD But that's a personal problem. I'm a Slytherin. ^^ J.K. Rowling approved. Pottermore doesn't lie.-Phoebe stood still for a moment more, digging her hands deep down into her pockets. If she concentrated hard enough, maybe her coat would swallow her, and she'd end up back home. Sadly, after a few tense seconds, she found this not to be the case. "N-no," she stammered, her eyes flitting to the side. She appeared to re-think the question. "Actually, yes," she added meekly. "Can you explain Hogwarts? I know it's a school, but . . ." Her voice trailed off, and she shrunk like a turtle into its shell with her chin drifting down toward her chest.

Alex shrugged at Grace and said, "Well let's go meet that girl," and then Alex went to Florish and Blotts. She saw the girl and walked over before saying, "Hello I am Alex Newton."@silver_winged
graceseggs • 4 April 2012 at 8:45 AM
Grace nodded and followed Alex. She really did want to get her wand, but that could be done later.@hedwig68@silver_winged
trish • 4 April 2012 at 11:11 PM
"You two again." Jason stared coldly at those petty girls."Come on. I'd rather be alone." he said. Then stopped. "Assuming you know bits of Hogwarts, what house do you want to be in?"
hedwig68 • 4 April 2012 at 11:16 PM
"Idiot," Alex mumbled before looking at the girl again.@trish@graceseggs@silver_winged
trish • 4 April 2012 at 11:22 PM
"If you ever want to charm a guy into liking you girl, try a love potion. Your body language is just drop dead cold." Jason shot back. "Try a spell on me. I DARE you to." he curled his lips.
hedwig68 • 4 April 2012 at 11:26 PM
Alex shook her head, "Can't even see an insult when it is that simple. Do you even have a brain? Cause Hogwarts is a SCHOOL you know?"@trish
graceseggs • 4 April 2012 at 11:27 PM
Grace rolled her eyes at Alex and Jason. She walked over to the pajama girl, who she noticed was now wearing a large, furry coat. "Hi. I'm Grace. Do you want to borrow my school robes for now?" She offered and pulled out one of her new robes.@hedwig68@trish@silver_winged
trish • 4 April 2012 at 11:31 PM
"More brains then you. Heck, I wouldn't be surprised if I made it in Ravenclaw. I just don't suspect that we'll be in the same house. Hufflepuff." Jason coolly said."Keep your temper. Your just jealous your not slick." And he walked away.
hedwig68 • 4 April 2012 at 11:36 PM
"Whatever," she said and thought, "But a mind like that wouldn't be a good thing to have a Hogwarts."@trish@graceseggs
trish • 4 April 2012 at 11:41 PM
Jason paused in his tracks. "Maybe I'll be the next Voldemort." he chuckled at his own joke and walked out of Flourish and Blotts.
hedwig68 • 4 April 2012 at 11:45 PM
Alex heard the name Voldemort and her eyes went down cast.@cotton Umm is there a chance that I could be like Voldemort's daughter? You know add some action and mystery.
trish • 4 April 2012 at 11:48 PM
@hedwig68 We're not suppose to use past characters. Voldemort didn't believe in love either. 😋
hedwig68 • 4 April 2012 at 11:49 PM
@trish Oh that sucks never mind then.
asi • 5 April 2012 at 12:07 AM
@Trish I never thought YOU'd be one to hurt my eyes like that >< You cannot say Your just jealous!!! DX Or Your not slick! It's YOU ARE! YOU'RE!/deadWhat a jerk. Shaking his head slowly, Cyron decided to see if the girls were okay after that, well; not going to break down or think every boy at their school was a complete idiot. He recalled his Sis saying something about houses once or twice, and linked it to the conversation."Any house he's not in sounds okay to me," he said, half a question, as he hoped to learn more about the school if he could.@Hedwig68 or anyone else X3
hedwig68 • 5 April 2012 at 12:10 AM
Alex nodded, "Yah he is pretty thick headed. Hope he gets in Hufflepuff. Wait do you know about Hogwarts?"@asi
asi • 5 April 2012 at 12:15 AM
"Not really," Cyron admitted, a little sheepish. "How is Hufflepuff different from the others?"@hedwig68
trish • 5 April 2012 at 12:40 AM
@asi Psh. X) We all know I'm not the one who's grammar usually needs to be fixed. 😋 IT'S YOU'RE GRAMMAR. Just kidding.
silver_winged • 5 April 2012 at 2:58 AM
@trish @asi @hedwig68 @graceseggs Peacoats aren't furry. X3 They feel kind of like really dense felt. http://www.armynavysuperstores.com/womensgraypeacoat.jpg-"House?" Phoebe replied immediately, but then shrank back as the girls she'd seen before began to fight with the boy. Who had started the whole thing, she couldn't tell--she simply wanted to stay out of it.Peering out from behind her glasses, she followed one of the girls with her eyes as she approached. "Hello," she murmured. "I'm Phoebe. Ahh, no thank you. This is quite all right." Her voice trailed off and her gaze wandered to the side, back to the two arguing kids. Eventually, they seemed content to stop. The exchange of words had left her rather confused. "What is a Hufflepuff?" she inquired timidly. "Or any of those other things?"EDIT: I'm going to be out of town for a week, so I'm afraid I won't be able to reply. :c Sorry about that. Just go on without me, I'll catch up. X3

@cottonI threw my flew powder into the fire where my friend had just disappeared and watched the flames erupt into a bright emerald color. I stepped in and yelled ''DIAGON ALLEY''. Suddenly I felt an incredibly horrid sensation. I was spinning and I could feel pressure from all sides. Right when I felt I was about to vomit and my head to burst, I was standing next to Ella in Diagon AlleyBTW my wand is Fir with unicorn hair 13in, unyieldingMy august grandfather, Gerbold Octavius Ollivander, always called wands of this wood ?the survivor?s wand,? because he had sold it to three wizards who subsequently passed through mortal peril unscathed. There is no doubt that this wood, coming as it does from the most resilient of trees, produces wands that demand staying power and strength of purpose in their true owners, and that they are poor tools in the hands of the changeable and indecisive. Fir wands are particularly suited to Transfiguration, and favour owners of focused, strong-minded and, occasionally, intimidating demeanour.
