@rileytibbles_side ABOUT TIME! ;D Ella opened the second page of her letter. "Okay, let's get our uniforms first, since they're the first on the list." She told Hazel. "We need: three sets of black plain work robes, one pointed black hat, one pair of protective gloves, and one black winter cloak with silver fastenings. So, we should head to Madam Malkins." Ella said and pointed to a shop about half a block away.

Alex nodded, "Houses are how they seperate you at Hogwarts. There are four house: Slytherin, Ravenclaw, Gryffindor, and Hufflepuff. Slytherin takes only purebloods and Ravenclaw only takes the smartest ones. Gryffindor takes the brave and bold and Hufflepuff takes all the rest." Alex recited.@asi
graceseggs • 5 April 2012 at 1:41 PM
Grace nodded and put them away her bag as Alex explained to the girl. "There's a Sorting Hat. When you go to Hogwarts, it gets put on your head. It determines your house. That's the house you'll be in for the rest of the time you're at Hogwarts," she added.@hedwig68@silver_winged@asi

(OOC: Don't you think it's odd that they say only purebloods in Slytherin, but both Voldemort and Snape were half-bloods? Okay, Voldemort was like Slytherin's Heir, but Snape wasn't 😋 *Confusion* I'd like to be at least considered for Slytherin... I kind of already said his sister was in it X3 Well, she could always be Step.... *Headdesk*)"Purebloods?" Cyron smiled slightly. "Isn't that like, racist or something? And Hufflepuff does sound lousy." He wondered where he could possibly fit. It didn't sound like Slytherin, and he didn't want Hufflepuff, but the others sounded intimidating. Smart? Brave? He supposed he'd rather be in Ravenclaw, although he didn't know whether he had quite what it takes.@hedwig68@graceseggd
hedwig68 • 5 April 2012 at 3:20 PM
@asi I know it is weird I read that from the book thoughAlex nodded, "But several good wizards came from there. Anything else you want to know?"
asi • 5 April 2012 at 3:27 PM
@Hedwig68 (OOC I know you did ❤️)Cyron shrugged. Supposing that there were other people who didn't really know what was going on, he figured he'd be alright, and he didn't have any questions for now. "Not really, thanks. What house do you want?" he asked.
hedwig68 • 5 April 2012 at 3:30 PM
@asi XD"Gryffindor my whole family has been in that house for generations," Alex lied.
asi • 5 April 2012 at 3:48 PM
"Wow," Cyron blinked. Some people had families which had been going to Hogwarts for generations.... At least he had his sister, which was more than she'd had.Just then his mother appeared. "Do you want to get your robes from Madam Malkin's, or-" She noticed Alex. "Oh! You've made a friend already! Have you got everything yet, hun?""Mum," Cyron sighed in annoyance.
hedwig68 • 5 April 2012 at 3:56 PM
Alex smiled, "Hi I am Alex." She said smiling.@asi
asi • 5 April 2012 at 4:11 PM
"Cyron," he muttered, then dragged his mother out of the shop, despite her weak protests. "You can't buy clothes with a girl," he told her."Okay then," she shrugged and took him into some nearby clothes shop.
hedwig68 • 5 April 2012 at 4:15 PM
Alex shrugged and got her books.@asi
trish • 5 April 2012 at 10:58 PM
@hedwig68 Snape & Voldemort are half-bloods. 😸 Plus, wouldn't you think that Slytherin would be the smallest house since there are not that many Pure-bloods left? Harry himself almost got into Slytherin, half-blood~. Just no Muggle-borns.
graceseggs • 5 April 2012 at 11:00 PM
Grace remembered she needed her books. She quickly got the required copies and bought them. "Wand shop?" She asked Alex.@hedwig68
hedwig68 • 5 April 2012 at 11:01 PM
@trish The reason for Harry is cause he had part of Voldemort in him and Voldemort is the heir of Slytherin it is weird but it said that in the book about Slutherin taking only the purest of blood so yeah.@graceseggsAlex nodded.
asi • 5 April 2012 at 11:06 PM
@Trish@Hedwig68 was only saying what was in the book 😸I think we all agree? Good 😊After that ordeal (good thing clothes were specified, or it would have been a complete nightmare), Cyron and his mother headed for Ollivanders. He was slightly dreading buying a wand, because, well, this was it, wasn't it?He still was in a sort of daze, not certain of what was going on.
hedwig68 • 5 April 2012 at 11:07 PM
Alex led the way to Ollivanders and saw Cyron again. She waved and walked in.@asi@graceseggs
graceseggs • 5 April 2012 at 11:11 PM
Grace followed Alex into the wand shop. She let out a small sigh when she looked around. She could feel power from the wands stowed away in boxes. Then she felt her heart flutter. Time to get a wand.@hedwig68@asi
hedwig68 • 5 April 2012 at 11:21 PM
Alex smiled as they walked in, "Mr. Ollivander?!" She called.@graceseggs@asi
graceseggs • 5 April 2012 at 11:24 PM
Grace silently walked around. She examined some wands sitting out. They all seemed so beautiful. Smooth, shiny wood covered powerful cores.@hedwig68@asi
asi • 5 April 2012 at 11:27 PM
Shrugging to himself, Cyron followed the girls into the shop and watched and waited for his turn. His mum leaned in and told him she'd go get his potions supplies and everything, and he nodded absently then took a seat by the window.
hedwig68 • 5 April 2012 at 11:37 PM
Alex waited.@asi@graceseggs
graceseggs • 5 April 2012 at 11:44 PM
@hedwig68 @asiWho will be Mr. Ollivander?Grace's hand brushed over one of the wands. She read a small piece of paper that labeled it. Cherry wood and dragon heartstring. Looking puzzled, she looked at it again to make sure she had not misread it. Grace didn't recall seeing wizards with this kind of wand.
hedwig68 • 5 April 2012 at 11:45 PM
@graceseggs you@asiAlex looked at several wands.
graceseggs • 5 April 2012 at 11:49 PM
@hedwig68Oh, joy. XDMr. Ollivander strolled in from another room. "Ah, a group," he muttered. "Well, who's first?" He asked.Grace looked at Alex and Cyron. "Um, I'll go first," she said. She added to the others quickly,"If you don't want to go first, that is."@asi
hedwig68 • 5 April 2012 at 11:51 PM
@graceseggs@asi"Go."
graceseggs • 5 April 2012 at 11:58 PM
Mr. Ollivander nodded. He measured Grace's arm and searched through boxes of boxes with a wand. He brought out a box. "Oak with Phoenix feathers. Try it," Ollivander said as he handed a wand to Grace. "Just swing it in the air." Grace did so. Papers scattered on the floor tumbled about. Mr. Ollivander took the wand back and searched for another. He finally came across the cherry and dragon heartstring wand. Grace took it and made an arc in the air with it. Beautiful orange sparks made and arc like her wand motioned. "There we go," said Mr. Ollivander, obviously satisfied.@hedwig68@asi
hedwig68 • 6 April 2012 at 12:01 AM
Alex got up, "I will go."@graceseggs@asi
graceseggs • 6 April 2012 at 12:05 AM
Mr. Ollivander measured Alex's arm and got to work. He sifted through piles of wands. He pulled out two wands. He held them out to her. "This is a sycamore with a Phoenix feather. This is an oak with a unicorn hair. Try one," he said, motioning to each one as he spoke. "One of them should be yours."@hedwig68
hedwig68 • 6 April 2012 at 12:09 AM
Alex picked up the unicorn hair and wave the wand. A jet of light shoots out and hits Grace, "Not that one."@graceseggs
graceseggs • 6 April 2012 at 12:11 AM
"Even if it was that one, I wouldn't let you have it," Grace grumbled. She had tripped and fallen in surprise and was getting up. Mr. Ollivander offered the other wand.@hedwig68@asi
