Nodding curtly, Aizel smiled back and followed Katia.
"D'you think we're in real danger?" she asked absent mindedly as they climbed down the stairs. "What if there's something wrong with the ship? That iceberg was quite big" she mused, walking out of the grand hall.

'naw,' Katia smirked. 'after all, this ship is unsinkable, right?' she grinned. But she couldnt help but feel like she'd forgotten something... Or... Someone.

As they came out on deck, everybody was rushing out, gathering onto the nose of the ship, all in life jacket and all waiting to be let into the safety boats. Aizel nodded at Katia.
"I hope so..." she mumbled under her breath.

Brendon sighed leaning agaisnt a boiler when water dropped into the furnace and a loud bang was heard from halfway up the ship. Coughing and spluttering came afterwards as smoke flew everywhere "[yeep] that icy water can blow up this ship turn em off!" roared the leader.

Yells and screams came from the left side of the deck where the boiler rooms were. Aizel paid no attention to the noises, looking around for Brendon. The workers should have already been released by now and she guessed that Brendon was probably outside too.

Katia tugged Aizel's hand. 'we should probably get on a lifeboat just in case..' she murmered, fear creeping into her eyes.

Brendon coughed as the smoke rose into the air "Turn them off ye eejits do ye want to kill everyone on this bloody ship!" boomed the voice again. Brendon growled twisting the huge valve and then a puff of steam as the machine shut down. There was many more to turn off so they took that it was gong to take a while.

Aizel nodded curtly, following Katia but stopped in mid way, tugging her back.
"What about Brendon?" she asked, worry spreading on her face. He still hadn't showed up and the strange yells from the boiler rooms were beginning to scare her.

"Cmon lads it's not that hard!" spat the man "Easy for ye to say ye haven't worked here all bloody day!" roared a cocky young man.The leader glared at him "Shut up you wee ass!" he roared giving him a good slap.Brendon cringed when he saw that.

Something clicked in Katia's head. That was it! Brendon! She stopped what she was doing and turned around. 'let's go look for him.' she stated idiotically. But her friend might die. This was a serious situation and she wasn't just going to hop on a lifeboat and abandon him.

Nodding for the umpteenth time that day, Aizel pulled Katia's hand towards the boiler rooms.
"He was last working here, let's ask whether they've seen him" she stated, pulling on the door handle. It didn't budge.She tugged frantically.
"It won't open!" she exclaimed, slamming her fist down on the door. "Open up! Open the door!" she shouted.

Men lifted their heads "They have locked us in 'ere! Go get the key or flip the switch at the very top!" shouted voices from inside."Ye need to help us the feckin water is rising fast!" roared Brendon's voice as he slammed into the door..hard.

'stop!' cried Katia. 'my dad payed good money for this!' she nodded. 'but dont worry, look what I have.' she stated, taking out a master key card and inserting it into a weird slit beside the keyhole. The door clicked quietly. 'there. Try it now.' she grinned.

Smiling widely, Aizel kicked the doors open with all her might. The first face she saw was Brendon's.
"You've been here all along?" she asked incredulously, hugging him tightly. "Why did they keep you here?"

Brendon coughed "Due to all this havoc of the ship sinking we had to keep the engines running..then they sealed the doors so the water wouldnt get to the cabins.." he explained as he was hugged "Thanks guys.." he said scratching his head.
Then water ran over his ankles "Let's go!" he yelled grabbing their hands and running Down the hall.

As they pushed through the crowd, Aizel spotted the last boat on the ship. They had begun lowering it down. It was their last hope.
"HURRY!" she shouted, bulling Kaia and Brendon with her roughly.

A man jumped in front "I'm sorry young man..woman and children first..you two are safe.." he said pointing at Katia and Aizel.Brendon raised his eyebrows "Get in ye guys!" he said turning his eyes showed fear but he said nothing.

He guard grabbed the girl and pulled her back "Whether you like it or not men cannot enter a boat until all the women and children are safe!" he growled "Or would you like to make it hard eh?" he said slyly pulling out a gun and glaring at her.

I might be a little slow, I'm trying to kill this annoying fly in my room...

Her eyes widened and she stumbled backwards, almost tripping in her own feet. She completely and utterly terrified of guns or any weapons whatsoever. Since she'd been ganged up on two years ago, she never wanted to have anything to do with guns.

The man sniggered "Once all the woman and children are in I will let him in.." he said "Just get in and I won't shoot.." he said as she smoked his cigar.He puffed smoke into the moist cold air."Just get in guys I'll catch up.." Brendon sighed as he didn't dare look at the man.
