Winning means fame and fortune. Losing means certain death.

In the ruins of a place once known as Cavern Island lies the nation of Ark, a shining Capitol surrounded by twelve outlying districts. The Capitol is harsh and cruel and keeps the districts in control by forcing them all to send one creature between the ages of twelve and eighteen to participate in the annual Ark Games, a fight to the death on live TV.

You have been chosen by raffle to take part in the Games, in which your fellow tributes will stop at nothing to kill you, and natural disasters will be mercilessly thrown. If you survive, are the last one standing, you and your district will be showered with prizes.

Capitol: The Capitol lives in Ark City, and specializes in relaxing and having fun.

1. This district lives in the most refine place of the Ark besides the Capitol, Near The Ark City and specializes in Luxury.

2. This district lives border lining the Ark City, and The Ark Bay and specializes in Masonry.

3. This district lives Near the Ark volcano and specializes in electronics.

4. This district lives Near the Ark bay, and specializes in fishing.

5. This district lives Near the Ark FAQ sign and specializes in power.

6. This district lives in Leila, or the Northern Plains. and specializes in Transportation.

7. This district lives in the forest and specializes in Lumber.

8. This district lives Near the Mountains and specializes in Textiles.

9. This district lives Near the Mysterious Asteroid and specializes in grain.

10. This district lives in the Ark volcano, and specializes in livestock.

11. This district lives Near the Ark River and Near the Ark Forest and specializes in agriculture.

12. This district lives Near the Egg Cave and specializes in mining.

Accessories: A torn, red scarf, usually pulled around his lower face to hide under it.
Personality: Quiet and aloof, he comes off as cold and mysterious. He rarely really talks.
History: Normal. Had to work since he was young, and in a strict environment.

Skills: Tough. Rather strongly built from working in the grain fields all his life. Knows a lot about plants and is good with the sickle.
Other: He bears the rough fur and few scars of a hard-working Chimera.

Koen let his breath come out in heavy, hot puffs.
He hated the reaping.
He hated the games.
He hated the District.
The only thing the reapings were EVER good for anyway was a reason for getting out of work, but that also meant a day's worth of the harvest being missed.
Basically, everything stunk.
The Chimera shifted from paw to paw, scratching dirt patterns into the dusty square of District Nine, which was of heavy contrast to the fertile soil they had in the fields.
Koen started to daydream about the wheat that was currently growing in the fields, and how good the bread will taste once the harvest season comes around...Not that they even got to enjoy the profits of their own hard work, since the best they ever got was a bit fresher bread.

Twitch ~ District 5 ~ Reaping
I nervously paw at the ground. Today was my first reaping. My fidgeting makes it even more frightening.
We would usually be gathering berries. It's harvest season, so we don't have school. The reaping is a waste of time, because we could have been doing more harvesting.

"There are thousands of other names in there." I tell myself. "I'm just 12 so my name is only entered in there once." I'm cut off by our mayor, because he has to say the Treaty Of Treason.

When Treaty Of Treason is finally over, Elsa Fax, our Capitol Escort, an Ambrie, walks onstage.

Well, that's what Koen heard, at least.
Peering his eyes against the harsh sunlight, he searched the crowd of countless kids for his older sister.
was eighteen. On her last year of the reaping.
Her name would be in that glass ball eighteen times, along with the others, since she took out (Forgets what it's called.)
It still wasn't a lot, compared to most, but it was still something to worry about.
His older sister...Well, she was the one to always confront him during all the hard times in his life, like that time he was beaten by the Peacekeepers when he'd messed up with the harvesting.
Yeah, fun times all around here.
His thought train was interrupted when a Onny with dyed blue fur hopped up onto the stage.
Koen immidentily knew it was Sara Tuddy, the Escot for District Nine.
'Wow, the Capitol's styles get stranger every year.' the Chimera thought to himself.

"The district 4 female tribute will be... Lupa Wolfe!" Essie said. Nyx opened her eyes. Lupa? No... Her corphex friend was in the Ark Games. "I volunteer!" She screeched.

Thank you, Mayor, for that interesting report!" The Ambrie said. Elsa had the tip of her ears died blue and her tail purple. Everything about her was unnatural even the way she spoke.

"Now~ Time for the Rea~ping!" She said in a irritating voice. She reached her paw inside the huge glass jar. A feeling of security rushed over me. The jar was huge, with probably millions of names, and only one of mine. I'm completely safe. That's when she called the name. "Congratulations to... Twitch Anderson."

Everyone around me looked in my direction. I haven't yet realized that who she called was me. Suddenly, it clicked. She had called my name, and now I will be thrown in a arena to face to the death.

Someone behind me gives me a nudge, probably relieved they weren't called, and I start walking forward.

I slowly walk up the steps and meet the Ambrie. "Congratulations" She says, and shakes my paw. Then she turns to the Boys' jay to pick out a name.
