~Unexpected~ [Private Roleplay]

In a murder, what matters is not the time, nor place of crime or the evidence taken from there. What matters is the reason, the weapon and the killer.

Standing there, you can only watch while the familiar face is covered with the bloodied white sheets and the police ushers you outside of the crime scene. The ambulance sirens deafen you, the flashing lights blind you. It is your friend that was laying there, unmoving, on the ground... dead. And not only has the murder been gruesome and terrifying, but you saw it with your own eyes. The victim is Katherine Willson - a sixteen year old girl.

The police questions, asks, searches for reasons and evidence, but how can you mutter a word, when there is a gun pointed at your back. The murderer has taken another victim and now, you're the one under its watch. It knows what you know and will make you pay for it. You and your friends are in danger, never safe even in your own homes... for it could be hiding in every shadow, waiting in every room, searching for YOU.

It's your job to investigate and figure out everything on your own. You might have a chance at revealing the killer, but be careful... it's watching your every move and one wrong step can kill you... And don't forget. It knows all of your secrets, so beware...

Appearance: Standing at 4"6, Katia is a petite girl with straight waist length raven black hair framing her soft features. A fringe goes across her large eyes, all shades of purple. She tends to wear mafia style suits and top hats that are too big.
Personality: Katia is quiet and extremely intelligent, preferring the company of animals to people. Her rich upbringing has left her quite stubborn and immature, but she is a good and loyal friend who can solve any puzzle given.
History: Katia is a rich kid, brought up in the Barde Manor. Due to boredom she has always framed herself as a detective to solve cases. Her wits and charm have pulled her through and everyone except her father labels her as "the hatted detective"

Any Secrets?: None that he would ever share. He is an open person, but prefers not to trust anyone with his secrets.
Appearance: Stands at a looming 6'5, overtowering most people. He has heavily tanned skin and a straight athletic build. His hair is long and light brownish (leaning towards sandy blonde) made in dreadlocks. He usually wears it in a loose ponytail. His eyes are bluish-green.
Personality: Xans is a cheerful person. He prefers to take things slow and relax instead of overthinking or worrying too much. He is laid back (which also means lazy), dislikes working hard and lives for the day. Optimism is his weakness. He is always caoable of seeing the bright side of the dark side and can cheer up anyone within a minute. Usually described as a clown, he is often the heart of the company.
History: Born in a family of hippies, Xans has always lived independently and moved out of his parent's house at 16 years of age. He rented the house across the street from the victim. He and Katherine couldn't be called friends, but he had seen her frequently around before the murder.

Appearance: Messy black hair streaked with crimson red and forest green eyes. She is very nimble and stealthy but her red hair streaks and green eyes cause her to be noticed easily so it's hard for her to keep hidden. Her skin is lightly tanned and she is about 5'11. She has never worn make up and will never wear it because she thinks that the aspect of it is dumb.
Personality: She used to be friendly, social, and a prankster but ever since her friend died she has been unsocial and sad all the time. She tries to stay out of other people's ways and she never bothers anyone unlike before the murder when she was annoying and stubborn.
History: She has lived in this town her whole life and she has acted like a normal teenager until the day her best friend was murdered.

Personality: She is rather shy and withdrawn. She does not talk much and prefers to stay away from others. She stands around 5'4 and has very pale skin.
History: Rynn was born blind, She was given a seeing eye dog as a child. Her and her seeing eye dog were the best of friends and she never goes anywhere without him. He soon became her only friend as a child, none of the other kids wanted to play with a blind girl.

We start from the night of the murder. And remember, no one-liners. ^^

The sound of whaling sirens crippled the night silence early in the morning. It was merely four a.m. when he was woken up by the noise of speeding cars outside. His blurry mind swam back to reality, becoming aware of the surroundings. Deafening whails swallowed up his thoughts, making his head spin. His vision only distinguished the flashing red and blue lights that seeped through his open window. He shielded his eyes from the blinding flickers.

Sitting up, he blindly reached to pull the sheets off of himself and made sure to rub his eyes and clear his vision before making any attempts of standing. Once able to see clearly, he righted himself up on waggling feet. As he did so, the room spun for a moment. Stumping over to the chair next to the bed, he located his clothes, hung on it's headrest. After a few unsuccessful attempts of dressing himself properly, he finally managed to pull his shirt on the right way.

By then, Xans had completely woken up and his spinning head had cleared. Trotting over to his open bedroom window, he peeked outside. The source of commotion was the opposite house. A few dozen police cars and an ambulance were parked in front of the doorstep, people seeped out from the vehicles, entering the house with bared guns. A mere moment later did he realize what was possible to have happened if the police was armed.

Curled up in a little ball in the corner of the room was a girl. She was sobbing and she was still whispering, "No please don't hurt my friend, please..." She had just witnessed the worst thing, her best friend, Katherine, had just been murdered before her eyes. Cops walked over and tried to get Alex to move but she didn't move, she couldn't move. Her mind was fuzzy from the scene that had just taken place and she could barely remeber a thing. Everything had happened so fast, she turned to look at the room and she watched as Katherine was lofted out of the room. She finally managed to stand up and before another question could be asked she racedout of the room and out of the house. She pushed past police and kept running.

He spared no moment in watching any further and straight forward darted out of the door and down the set of stairs of his house. Grabbing a pair of keys and his jacket, Xans ran out of the front door, forgetting to lock it, and onto the street. The cold night air hit him straight in the face, but he ust huddled further into his warm jacket. He hated cold weather with a passion but now wasn't exactly the time for musings and such. Approaching the place, Xans noticed the policemen. They were lowering their guns and putting them away.

Now it was the doctors' turn, he guessed by the white clothed men that trotted into the house. A pair of rubber gloves were clutched in one's hand, another carried a white sheet. A little later, Xans noted himself of a man and woman being led out of the house. Tears streaked both of their faces. The woman was ready to collapse in her (supposed) husband's hands and the ladder held her tightly.

In a second, his mind snapped. He realized what had happened. A single child family lived in that house. Their daughter - a young girl, was nowhere to be seen. He guessed what must've happened to her as the medics carried out the stretcher with a white, bloodied sheet overing it from one end to the other.

Suddenly, her hand, cut and marred, slipped from under the sheet, hanging from the edge of the stretcher. Xans suddenly found his stomach twisting and turned his gaze away from the bloodied limb, placing a hand over his mouth.

The sight was terrifying...

The girl finally stopped running, she realized that if she just ran away the killer might never be captured. She should go back and tell the police exactly what she had happened, or at least what she could remember. She walked back and passed a boy that she was sure Katherine had called Xans. She looked at him and she whispered as she passed, "You might have guessed but Katherine is d-dead." She walked over to a policeman and he said, "Are you Alex Hunter?" Alex nodded and the man continued, "Do you remember what the killer looked like?" Alex shook her head, "No, I can't remember what he looked like, right when he appreared I ran out the door to call for help so I never got a clear view. When I got back the only thing I can remeber is watching him shoot Katherine. He then ran away before I could see more." He nodded and then without another word he left her.

4 in the morning, the small girls ears picked up a faint siren. She had been in the middle of a heavy reading session, sp she trued to continue. It was almost impossible and her curiosity got the better of her. She quickly stood up and threw on a suit as black as her hair, shoving a top hat on her head. She padded out the door of the Barde Manor stealthily and dashed through street after street, stopping after almost getting run over by an ambulance. She sidestepped it and ran to the nearest bystander. 'Katia An Barde, detective, do you know what happened here?' she said automatically and looked at the boy. He was nearly twice her size. Her eyes widened and she regained her composure.

Rynn yawned. "Do you even realize what time it is, Boy?" Rynn asked her seeing eye dog, Auto. The dog gave a small huff and led his master faster. Sounds of sirens reached Rynn's ears. "Auto, Whats that?" She mumbled, Auto had stopped walking. "Auto? You okay boy?" Rynn asked her dog. The dog barked once to show he was still with her. The sirens were faint as the two of them listened closely, A loud sound echoed threw the night, both of them looked in its direction never hearing a sound like it. "Its probably just someone speeding and caused a car wreck." Rynn mumbled, trying to convince her self. Auto gave another Huff He knew that Rynn her self did not believe her own words. Auto lead his master closer to the sounds. They didn't know it but the loud sound they had heard was a gun-shot. Auto walked even faster as Rynn stumbled trying to keep up. "Auto! Stop!" she yelled. The sirens had gotten louder and louder. Auto finally stopped. She herd some people talking and she swallowed hard. There was an odd smell in the air. She tried to place it as she heard faint crying. The smell was Blood. Rynn froze, Her clouded Emerald gaze stared out in front of her.
Rynn stood on the side walk, Ignored by the others around her. "What happened?" she mumbled.

Despite the loudness of the sirens and the policemen chatting nearby, Xans still managed to hear the trembling voice of the girl that passed. Her black hair shadowed her unusually pale face, shading her eyes from view. Dried tears stained her cheeks and some still ran down to her chin. He looked at her in surprise as he whispered the few words to him, watching her trott away and talk to a policeman. She must've ben a witness, he guessed. Blinking in confusion, he got ready to follow her before a female voice called out from below.
"Katia An Barde" was all he heard as his head snapped to the left and he looked down to meet a pair of large purple eyes gazing up at him. The girl seemed surprised, but why, he didn't know. He scratched the back of his head.
"I ...uh... just arrived. I do't know anything more than the cops." he managed to mumble under his breath.

A side glance to his right, and he noticed another girl standing on the sidewalk, gaze pinned to the pavement. A dog stood by her side curtly, looing at her in what seemed like confusion. His gaze lingered on her for a moment.

Alex wiped away any sign of tears that might have still ligered and she just stared at everyone a sad look. She looked at the tall boy that she had passed then the short girl that she guessed was a dectective and then a girl with her dog. So many people were here and it was all because of a stupid person that had decided to murderer her friend. She wondered why the person had choseen Katherine as his victim and she shook her head hard as if she was trying to get rid of the memory that bore into her brain.

Auto pushed his head agents Rynn's leg as if to say 'Its okay, calm down.' Rynn gazed down at the dog, her clouded emerged eyes saw only darkness. She patted the dog on its head then stared back ahead. "Umm, Hello?" She called "Would someone tell me whats going on?" Her blind gaze looked around. Having forgot her sunglasses her clouded eyes met the gaze of a few others. They mumbled words of sympathy to both the crying people and to her. She was more confused then ever, and it showed on her face. She turned her head to face Xans. "Whats going on?" She called again, tears filled her clouded Emerald eyes, Auto pushed his head on Rynn's leg again, he knew how confused she was, He knew how much she hated being blind She normally didn't mind but it was times like this when she wished she could see the most.

Alex's eyes landed on the detective again and she mumbled, "I am guessing she is looking for information." Alex didn't wish to share what had happened again so she tried to look like she had just gotten here.

Head snapping down to the smallish girl, Xans paused for a moment, then nodded his head, a 'yes'. After looking around for the other black haired girl, he located her standing nearby and motioned to Katia.
"That girl. She was questioned by the police." he replied curtly, turning to face the detective again. A moment later, he trotted to the lonely raven head and patted her shoulder. She seemed to be in a pretty fragile state, so he gingerly called out to her.
"Excuse me... Miss, would you mind coming with me?" his voice was as gentle as possible, careful not to scare the girl any further. She was shaking, but from the crime she had witnessed or from the cold, he didn't know.

Leading her to the other side of the pavement, he ushered her over to te smallish black-haired girl-detective.

Meanwhile, his eyes were trained on the same girl as before - the one wih the dog. She seemed to move around feverishly as did her dog. Suddenly, her eyes bright gemstone green eyes stared up at him.
"What's going on?" her voice reached him and he immediatelly realized - she was blind. The light from the police cars illuminated her unusually light eyes. He approached, standing beside her and taking a light hold of her arm.
"Follow me." he gently ushered her forward, making sure that her dog followed too.

As the boy brought the girl to her, Katia slipped into seriousness. 'Katia An Barde, detective. I'm wondering what happened here? I'm guessing murder. May I ask for your information?' her voice came politely, her top hat slightly dishevelled on top of her raven black hair. The pupils of her large eyes had grown bigger to accustom to the darkness and the mafia-style coat of her suit came a bit too long, down above her knees because they were originally made for her brother.

Rynn jumped slightly shocked by the sudden voice. She followed Xans without a word as he grabbed her arm. She whistled loudly and Auto followed. The dog growled quietly. Rynn stumbled but kept up. She had heard his voice before, Where did she know him from? "Xans? Is that you?" She finally asked and held Auto by his short leash, the large dog still growled lowly.

Alex didn't object to being ushered over to the dective by the boy. This was so unlike her because she was usually independent and didn't like people treating her like she was fragile. She was broken on the inside right now and she just allowed the boy to bring her over to the detective. She stared at the detective and she said, "W-What do you wish to know? Everything?" She stared down at the girl and waited, she seemed confused and sad. She brushed her black and red hair behind her ear.

Throwing a side glance over his shoulder, he assured himself that the two raven heads were talking. The older girl seemed pretty badly shaken, but acting all babysitter on her was going to worsen the situation. On the other hand, he didn;t think reminising the murder and telling it wouldn't be a good idea either.

Shaking it off, Xans turned to the blonde girl in front of him. His hand still clutched her arm, a little tighter than usual, so he let go. He'd honestly never seen her so it was a surprise to his how she knew his name. He gave a curt nod.
"Yeah, it's Xans. How do you know..." he paused for a while, realizing that the pair of light green eyes looked awfully familiar. "... my name." he finished, looking down at the growling dog. He raised both eyebrows up in surprise. By what he'd heard, leader dogs were supposed to be kind and gentle, not roaring danger. Taking a step back, he isolated himself at a safe distance from the animal. He looked up at the girl again. "Have I seen you somewhere?"

Rynn gave a small smile "Thought so, You sounded familiar." She tugged Auto's leash once "Don't be mad at Him, he didn't remember." She said to the dog, though her gaze did not move, it seemed locked in front of her. "Its me, Rynn. I used to go to school with you Back when i was aloud to, All the kids ignored me, Its no wonder you didn't remember." Rynn said and pet Auto's head. The dog stopped growling at once and sat down next to his master.

Alex nodded and thought, I can't believe I am being ordered around by someone you get than me. She then said, "Well what I can remember is this: I was over at Katherine's house when suddenly there was knock at the door. I wasn't in the room and the only thing I remember is a scream. I ran to open the door and it was locked. I was scared and I rushed out of the room and called first for Katherine's parents and then I rushed to grab the phone. After calling 911 I ran back into the room just in time to see Katherine shot and the murderer escaping. That's as much as I can remember." She said and had to use all her will power not to cry.

Feellin guilt immediatelly nestle in between his chest, Xans swallowed thickly and scratched the back of his head in shame.
"I'm... sorry. Really." he quietly apolgoized, giving her arm an apologetic squeeze. His mind snapped to work and in a few seconds, she regain memory of those same light green eyes. It had been in his previous high school that they'd learned together. She had been in his chemistry class, if he was not mistaken.
"Now, I do remember seeing you. But you were just so quiet that..." he searched in his mind for a proper excuse to not have talked to the blonde, but found none. At the time, he'd guessed he'd just hadn't had he chance to spark a conversation with her.
"I'm sorry. Again. I don't seem to remember your name." he said, biting his lip at how rude that must've sounded to the girl.

Katia nodded curtly, a notebook appearing from nowhere as she jotted something down in it. She then looked up. 'by any chance,' she replied, ' have you got any kind of desctription of the murderer? Anything at all? It doesn't even have to be something like the face, maybe girl or boy, old or young, tall or short?' she cocked her head, her hair falling with it, creating a sheet of shining black in the darkness.
