@geefriend45 Like I stated in my first post, it doesn't matter how long your poem is. In fact, It'd better be short and effective😸

When a beweg is starved,
When a Kacki needs food,
They go to trusty Tim,
To be rescued.

He provides bananas,
And apples too,
Tim saves a bunthoff,
By feeding it hot stew.

Tim charges some money,
75 EC per day,
"Quite a cheap fee!"
Chirps a blue jay.

He works very hard,
Yes, this mekii Tim,
Helping all Ark citizens,
We should all thank him~

@shadielle

'Cause Tim keeps my creatures alive xD

@shadielle

Oh, good! 😊 I guess it is easier to go through so many poems if they're short.

@2elle2 Thanks for entering your poem😊 Such a nice way to pay homage to Tim😃

@geefriend45 Absolutely😊 Besides, the aim of a poem is better understood if it isn't too long.

@shadielle
I wish you could choose which prize you got ☹️
I want the Kitep, but not really any of the others xP

Ah well, I'll enter anyway 😊

*clears throat*
The creatures who loved me became paralyzed
The creatures who hated me turned into ice
The creatures who saw me are statues of stone
The monster I am
Is now all alone

Myself on my island with all to hide
A monster without, but broken inside
What now do I look like? I won't ever know
The monster I am
Is now all alone

I was happy, content, in the town I called Home
but Sea God, for my beauty, couldn't leave me alone
So I was made uglier than even a crone
The monster I am
Is now all alone

I feel the snakes, every day, everywhere
They are there to replace from when I had hair
They coil and uncoil, I let out a sad moan -
The monster I am
Is now all alone

The creatures who loved me became paralyzed
The people who hated me became still as ice
The people who've seen me are statues of stone
The monster I am
Is now all alone

I am the monster, I am the one
Who creatures call Gorgon, if you see me please run
I don't want to hurt you because of my curse
I beg you don't hate me, I'll only feel worse

The monster I am is now all alone
I must stay in solitude for what I am
Alas, for my gaze turns people to stone
For by Athena I have been damned;*
To prevent others' harm, I will sit here alone...

*the verb, not the swear word

@cqpkytty Sorry about that, but that would cause some mess... because other people might want the kitep as well, so we had to order the prizes based on their rarity/demand;) Thanks for entering the contest😃

@shadielle

Here is my poem, enjoy~

The lonely Alkub

Some thoughts are best of you not to be thinking,
thought the lonely little alkub as he was slinking.
He slunk all around and clawed at a tree.
He wanted a friend, could be you, could be me.

He sat in the flowers known as poppy plains,
He thought silly thoughts of his loneliness pains.
He sat all along and though of a plan,
it involved the use of a frying pan.

He waited there behind a tree.
The poor little fiend, filled with glee.
An elegant ahjoon wandered around,
and with a swift blow, was send to the ground.

Now the lonely alkub was happy at last.
An ahjoon in his basement, with ropes held fast.
He sat with it and talked the day away.
He sits with it to this very day.

Hope you like it, one of my poems is in a book...

im sorry if my grammar & english is messed up XDDDD i tried though!

When the beasts in arks settle them self in egg cave
infinite mystery and fate surround upon us...

E-ven if the gifts are scattered and unknown

G-uided by the fellow ark citizen, we fulfill our cove,

G-uided by our guardians, we learnt how to strive,

C-ove to friends, merchants to traders,

A-ges has passed, when our companionship grew immortal

V-ictorious temperament will welcome us

E-GGCAVE, you are my eternal love

-The Best Part-
What's the best part of Egg Cave?
What's the best part I ask?
No it's not the creatures,
Or accomplishment of tasks.

I believe with all my heart,
That the most amazing of all the parts,
Is not the mail that people send,
The best part is each of my wonderful friends.

Each moment I treasure with all of them,
It is worth more than the rarest gem,
The games we play, the things we say,
Keep me excited for every day!

@kollais

Reluctance

I sit in my lonely shady spot,
listening to the little terrons and tasma's play.
I am but a lonly panheart,
too relutent to join in on the fun.
Wings flap and silver streaks are in the air,
others come to join the game.
I stay in my little spot hoping today is the day.
That I will finially work up the nerve to ask
"Hey, can I play?"
My sought out courage now fails me
as I slink back to my tree.
Now hoping to hear somthing other than
the ohh's and ahhh's that hurt so painfully.
Turning my head to watch the game,
I find a claw streached out to me.
Looking at the beautiful, sparkling ball,
gleaming in the golden sunshine.
Then and only then do I decide to
come out of the darkness and into the light.

Good luck to who ever wins!!!

@shadielle May I join? 😊

Also, with regard to the prizes, I think a bunthoff is a more desirable creature than a kacki 😊

@duchess But the kacki has been retired for a very long time and it's now usually worth a very good LE or a CC creature, and the bunthoff has only been retired for some months and I don't think it's worth as much as the kacki, even though it's prettier;)

And yes, you may join. Everyone can join😃

@shadielle, I guess that's true 😃 Thank you 😊

Floicols:

Sweet hum of wings drone on
Filling the air with the languid harmonies of spring
Flitting shadows dance across the petals
Slender beaks dip into nectar
The floicols feed gracefully, swiftly
Fluttering
Drinking
Their rhythmic motions filling my soul with a delicious lethargy
Their honey-lavender scent seeps into the air
As they continue their dance with the flowers.

@Shadielle This is a poem of freedom by me, based on birds that have been freed from their cages. Like the bird creatures in Egg Cave who are free.

The Blessing of the Wild

The spirit that yearns to fly again, despite despair -
Unlocks the earth-bound cages of your heart,
And pieces together the broken shards of care.
From the cold steel bars, your life will restart.

The morning sun will rise again;
And the starlight will be much closer,
Keep the hope inside you that will be maintained,
As your life is music and you are the composer ...

Remember the freedom reigning on your wings,
With the breezes and wind that were mild,
The elements of life that will make you sing -
The Blessing of the Wild.

@shadielle Sorry for the long poem.

EggCave Through the Day.

A warm spring day in Ark,
Brightly begins,
For it is time for the Brownil,
To wake up again.
All kinds of the little eggs in Ark,
Begin to hatch, then play,
All throughout
That warm Ark Spring day.

Then Noon will come,
And the creatures will eat,
Such a yummy meal,
What a great treat!
They rub their plump bellies
And then wipe their mouths.
And then notice that the birds,
Have came back from their trip South!

In the Afternoon,
They will watch the clouds,
How they will laugh,
Will be very loud.

When the evening comes,
They will start to tire.
But they know that the day
Is not nearly over.
So instead they play some Truth or Dare.
And the parents start working on the campfire.

In the night,
The Terrons and Wisets awake,
This means it is time
To go to bed and wash up in the lake.
When they are oh so cozy,
Sleeping in their coves,
They cannot help, but be a little lazy.

A warm Spring day in Ark.....

@Shadielle

Young and tiny,
alone in my egg,
I am a baby Gadfly,
sleeping endlessly.

A body rests
beside my place,
warm and soft,
with three other eggs.

I am this,
young and vital,
forever and ever,
knowing all I wish to know.

Young and tiny,
alone in my egg,
I am a baby Gadfly,
happy forever.
