@izzfred Hey dere.--Storm slowly looked up, her eyes taking on a glassy, haunted look as she cast her gaze around, watching the other kids wake up. The hair fell from her face, exposing her pale and delicate features. Her lips were slack, giving the slight impression that she was frowning. The only sound she made was the sound of the breath rattling slowly in and out of her. She spotted a girl who looked hopeful. 'Well, she's obviously not been here long enough.' Storm thought bitterly. Storm had been here for four, long, painful years. Slowly, she had given up hope of ever being warm or happy again. She hadn't laughed in a very long time, and she longed to do so. But there was nothing to laugh about, and nothing to be happy for. This place strangled hope and left it to die on the cold, hard floor.

@ems Hannah can feel Storm looking at herxD Seriously don't you get a feeling that somebody's watching you sometimes?Hannah sensed someone looking at her. She turned and looked at a girl who was looking at her. She waved and sat quietly wondering when the guards would take the kids to cafeteria.Jake noticed two girls looking at each other. He hoped they didn't notice that there was "no one" in his cell. Then her would be forced to come out and show himself and then they might talk to him. That was his worst nightmare.
ems • 2 January 2013 at 6:02 PM
@izzfred xD I hate that.--Storm held up a hand in an attempt to wave back, but the movement was weak and pitiful. The girl, she looked so strong. "Hi...." She whispered, her voice like crackling leaves. Her voice was underused, but Storm had found no reason to speak in many days. She tried smiling a bit, the corners of her lips turning up in the smallest movement.

@ems Me too. It's creepy.Hannah Noticed how weak the girl was. In an attempt to make her feel better she said, "Hi. I wonder what Jenny's making for breakfast today." Hannah smiled. Jenny was the cook and always good things unlike cooks in high school cafeterias.Jake's eyes perked and the corners of his lips turned up a little. Jenny was the best cook in the world to him. He wondered what she was making for breakfast today. He knew it would be something good. Just like it always was.Jenny put out plates, forks and enough syrup bottles for the tables in front of her. She put a syrup bottle on each of the tables and went into the kitchen. She grabbed the pans of finished pancakes and them inside the oven to keep them warm after she turned it off. She then waited for kids to start coming in.

An unpleasant noise echoed trough the air, periodically repeating and becoming louder and louder as it came closer. At first, the boy could barely make out the source of it. His mind still dim as he slowly exited a vivid dream. With every sharp sound emitted by the bars he was brought closer to reality. The sensation of cold air touching his skin triggering him to move half consciously in the attempt to hide in the thin, white sheet, and only seconds later the cold proved itself to be even more troublesome as it irritated his throat and caused him to lightly cough. Despite all that the boy desperately refused to wake up. He didn't even wish to open his eyes but the faint light was slowly driving him to do so. Finally as the noise made its way to his cell and could not become any louder it pulled his mind out of the dream and into the gray space. -"Wake up already brat!" the guard yelled before continuing to the next cell. Obviously the man was somewhat irritated by how slow the boy was. In response the child only sighed and quietly as if to himself he uttered out "Good morning."@jupiter_hollow
ems • 2 January 2013 at 6:12 PM
@izzfred lol. It freaks me out a lot.--Storm stretched a bit, her scrawny arms reaching for the ceiling. "Probably something good." She murmured with a shy smile. Jenny always cooked good stuff.

@ems its likt me: 😊 Person: <.< Me when I feel that person looking at me: >.> Us: >.> <.< I never knew that they weren't allowed to go out of their cells for meals.Hannah nodded. In an attempt to nap before she was brought to the cafeteria she lie down and struggled to sleep but cold brought her back. She finally noticed a cell without anyone in it. She looked over at the girl she had been to and said, "Look at that." She then pointed at the empty cell.Jake noticed the girl pointing at his cell and telling another girl to look. He decided to wait until the other girl looked before he would show himself.Jenny quickly put two pancakes onto a plate for herself. She wited for the guards to bring the kids in.

@izzfred--"Mm. No one in it." Storm murmured, suspecting that the child was hiding. "Hello?" She called carefully, her voice sounding clearer as she used it more. Poor kid, probably alone and abused, just like everyone else in the hole. Her eyes seemed to brighten, and her hair seemed less dull as she began to feel more like herself. Well, as much like herself as she could in this terrible place.

@emsJake slowly moved out from under bed, stood up and walked to the bars of his cell. He noticed he was gaining weight. 'Which his god for thin me.' He thought. He waved at the girls and sat down on his bed."Oh. Hi!" Said Hannah as the boy came out. She thought about the good meals that Jenny made every day. 'Jenny's a great cook. I wish I could be like her.' She thought.

Christa sat on the hill in her backyard, she watched as the brightly colored leaves fell from the trees. All around her were signs of the upcoming winter and she smiled as she saw a squirrel scouring the ground for nuts. She sighed contently as the sun warmed her skin and then behind her she heard the footsteps of her dog running towards her. Christa smiled and turned to see the black lab running up the hill, tongue lolling out of her mouth. She realized that today was perfect, the sky was beautiful and- CLANG!!" Christa jolted awake and she heard the guard yell, "Get up!" She sighed as she realized that everything had only been a dream. She was still in her prison cell, she was still far away from home. She put on her glasses and she got out of her bed and shivered from the cold. She looked around her dirty cell and she wished more then ever that she was back home. She looked out of her cell door at the other experiments but she didn't speak. She had never been much of a people person, she was the quiet and calm one of her while family. She watched as a rat scampered through her cell and she sighed, At least you're free, you can go anywhere you want, I wish I could do the same thing. She thought as she watched it scamper away. She stared at the other waking experiments carefully, she wondered how many of them had recieved their powers already, she of course hadn't recieved her powers yet and was still trying to convince herself that the people who had come for her had messed up and got the wrong person, that she would soon be home. She however always saw flaw in this thought as she had been in this jail for 4 years and she knew that they'd know she wasn't an experiment long before that.

@izzfred--Storm say, wondering what delicious meal Jenny had in store for the kids this morning. She licked her lips in anticipation, and waved to the boy in the other cell. Storm started hoping again, it was small hope, so small that Storm didn't notice it at first. Her eyes sparked with life again, and she had a real smile plastered to her face.

Name: Ireta SelloGender: FemaleCurrent age: 16Age you were taken at: 13Cell number: 108Ability: She does't have one yet, but will soon. She will be able to phase her whole body into air for a maximum of eight minutes, and after she does, her eyes will glow a bit creepily for 400 seconds.AppearanceShe has dark, cold, black-brown eyes. Her skin is a light color because she rarely ever gets into the light. She has very little muscles, but is very flexible. She is pretty thin, and short too. She has shoulder-length, black hair, that almost always looks like it's been effected by static. She wears gray. Pure, absolute gray, light on the top, darker on the bottom.PersonalityOn the outside, finally done with the terrible effects of the virus, she is quiet, and a bit kind. Ever so slightly, she acts like she tries to help. She also shows her vulnerability and fear of many things, one of the only things she actually shows. on the inside, though, she's wallowing in hurt and self-pity. Sucking off of those, she continues with jealous feelings of others, and sometimes even bursts of concealed hate.HistoryShe was taken from an orphanage, and was the oldest non-disabled one left. She sadly and jealously watched her friends, and many others get adopted out, while for some unknown reason, she wasn't. She even watched romance blossom between some of the slightly disable, which made her feel even more useless. All of this also made her pretty antisocial, instead of being found talking to her friends, she was found sitting in a corner, staring at them. When she was taken, she was in too much pain to pay any attention to anyone, and in her small moments of peace, disliked them for their relationships.Other: None, I believe.

Half of it was broken off, but that didn't matter to the janitor as it was too long for his short frame anyways. A splotchy grey towel was wrapped around Dave's neck and he had a shiny small metallic ring on his left index finger. Setting the bucket in the middle if the hallway containing the jail cells, Dave started cleaning the dirt-ridden tile floors that were once a pristine white. Many years ago, when this whole project started... it was a revolution, an exciting adventure. The government was looking forward to a new project, a marvellous new... weapon. Dave had been a part of that, even if at his lowly status. The first scientists had no clue how bad things were going to turn.

Ireta lay cold on her cot. The loud clanging had awakened her, but she saw no reason to move from her uncomfortable position. Movement always triggered pain. So much pain. She wanted to stay away from it for as long as possible. Yet that just wasn't meant to happen. A simple change of the light from the sun made her blink. She blinked, and her body realized she was awake. When she was awake, it seemed he body wanted to torture her the most. She didn't know why. Maybe it was just another part of her miserable life. Twist of fate? It was a bad twist, and it twisted herself up. Her body twitched angrily, and so began the siege. Her chest screamed in pain from the movement, but she didn't. Not yet... Soon, though. Very soon. She shivered, and her body decided to contort in pain again. She inhaled quickly-and her weak lungs rasped it all out angrily, like spitting fire. Then another wave of pain came. Finally, her willpower broke, and she let out a piercing scream, that could probably be heard from all of the levels.A few minutes later, she lay taking fast, breaths, half of them being rejected immediately by her messed up body. She continued shivering, and sweating. Her entire last years had been like this. It was like torture for a crime she never committed.Suddenly, pain ripped through her again, and through the pain, she managed to scream once more, before falling unconscious.

@jupiter_hollow @allyoupeople 😋~~~Miki sat alone like a rag doll, propped up against the wall as usual. The light glistened on her white hair and it made her pale skin more noticeable than ever. She was extremely thin due to undernourishment and no one had bothered to put her into her bed in the night, so she stayed, quiet and freezing on the floor. After all, she couldn't move, she couldn't speak, all she could do was stare and think. It was all she knew. There was a saying her father used to use when he spoke to her. He said that the words unspoken mean the most. It was true, if she could only show people what she was thinking, they could understand her so much better. Life was hard for her, often people pitied her, but more than that, they abused her because she was defenseless. It hurt more to know that someone could be like that, than to be hurt by the people who would abuse a completely disabled child. Miki never cried for herself, it was always for others. How she wished she could really be a part of the world and make a difference for other people!
ems • 2 January 2013 at 11:09 PM
@meixiaotian@takatheeducatedkid@everyoneelse-Storm waited patiently to eat, hearing a couple screams. She sighed sadly. "Poor kids." She muttered. There was pain all around her, sadness all around her. It was awful. Storm looks around again, and saw a girl who didn't move an inch. Storm felt bad for her, wondering why she didn't, or couldn't, move.
takaedakumi • 2 January 2013 at 11:21 PM
@ems~~~All of the noise seemed to blend into nothing. There were screams and bars clanging, people yelling... It was too much to pay attention to. Luckily for Miki, she was good at canceling things out, not being part of the commotion around her.She silently played a small game. She saw Storm across the room and just had to pretend she was having a conversation. She often made up fantasy worlds in her mind. this time it was a tea party. Both girls wore pretty dresses, and she used the fancy porcelain tea set her father had given her when she was eight."This garden is the loveliest place for a tea party, don't you agree?" She said, pouring Storm a cup of tea."Oh yes," she imagined Storm to say, "I'm so glad it is such a clear day."Suddenly her fantasy faded as a rat scurried away through the bars to her cell, it had bitten her arm and it hurt very much. Two tiny beads of blood seeped from the wound as she stared at it, unable to fix it.
ems • 2 January 2013 at 11:29 PM
@takatheeducatedkid--Storm noticed the blod, bright against the other girl's skin. "Are you okay?!" She called, reaching out to the silent girl. Storm wondered many things at the moment, and this girl confused her. Why couldn't she move?
takaedakumi • 2 January 2013 at 11:33 PM
@ems~~~"Oh, don't worry about me, it's just a scratch." Miki would have said, had she been able to speak. Instead, she looked at Storm for a bit, then back at her arm, casually. It was actually a bit entertaining to watch the tiny droplets of blood run down her arm. She was pretty sure somebody would notice sooner or later, so Miki wasn't worried.

@jupiter_hollow @takatheeducatedkid @onyx @meixiaotian @skylark~~~Fang leant against the bars of his cell, so that he faced the wall in the back of his tiny prison. His head lolled to the right, a side of his face touching the cold metal bars, giving him the appearance of being extremely bored. Red eyes stared silently at a spider crawling up an ugly wall in his cell, it's long spindly legs making barely discernable scratching noises. He shifted his position slightly. Now his head was to the left, and his blood-colored eyes glared at the floor. After a bit, he yawned and stood. Quiet footsteps brought him towards the spider, and he picked up the disgusting thing by one of it's eight legs, with his thumb and forefinger. The spider struggled for a bit, wriggling around madly, before staying still. Fang sat down in one of the corners in the back of his cell, before starting to play with the spider, ripping off an leg, then letting it run, before ripping off another, torturing the eight-legged creature. His bored expression turned into something more amused as his lips tilted up into a smirk, his eyes following the tiny blood trail of the spider.A little bit later, he seemed to have gotten bored again, and left the spider to squirm on the floor.

@skylark @Jupiter_hollow @meixiaotian @onyx @takatheeducatedkid~~~Fang cracked his neck, and sighed. He was itching to do something interesting, and so deciding that there was nothing better to do, he lay down on his side on the cold floor. He rolled over so that his back was on the ground, and crossed his arms behind his head.Staring up at the ceiling was no better than losing back doing nothing, so he took an hand out from under his head, and held it in front of his face. Crimson eyes concentrated silently on the limb, before the fingers of his hand slowly seemed to dissolve until they shimmered with no form in the dull light. Slowly, the rest of his hand dissolved, as did his arm and a part of his shoulder, before he focused once again, and his arm shimmered back into solidity. He sat up, and walked over to the bars of his cell, before lazily flopping back down on the ground. He stuck his arm through the bars and began waving it around, as if trying to call attention to the guards, like an customer at a restaurant would a waiter."Hey!" He called out boredly to any guard in his vicinity. "I'm bored." He added. "Would one of you ..." Fang trailed off. "Guards -" he spat out the word as if it tasted disgusting. "Care to walk over here and do something amusing, and worthwhile?" He asked.

@jupiter_hollow Im a stupid person who posts an intro then has to leave XD @takatheeducatedkid@bunnyshadow@bubble-slice@skylarkPacing back and forth with her arms behind her back, she sighed. How long had she been doing this? How long had she been awake? Before that stupid wake-up call, anyway. Actually, she didn't remember sleeping. Her mouth gaped in a wide yawn as she remembered just how long she had been doing this. She brought her hands to her face, rubbing her eyes. She should go back to sleep, but she had been pacing right through the wake up call. Shrugging, she turned her head to the bars. Those stupid.. Stupid bars. She wished she could just kick them down. Nevermind. She turned away to walk until she reached the back wall, then kicked it half-heartedly. Everything in here was stupid.

@bunnyshadowDave looked up at a flapping arm that had found its way out of the narrow bars in the jail. Curious, Dave stopped mopping and rested his hands on the top of the handle, setting his chin on his hands. After Fang spoke, Dave rolled his eyes and grunted. He resumed mopping, the floor actually not bad where he did it. Dave had guessed that he wasn't sufficient enough for the pearly white guy with red eyes as the guy only requested the guards, not the cleaner.

This is going to be such a long post...-She woke up slowly. She was drifting peacefully. Peacefully? Ireta came to her senses. Life was anything but that. It was pain and disease, along with cold and hollowness. It was rejection and worthlessness. THAT was what life was. Torture only prolonged by the stupid thing called hope. Without hope, she would have given in long ago. Now, though, maybe she didn't have to give in. That evil virus was deadly most of the time. Maybe that feeling of peace would return, after pain. Maybe that's what had just happened. Death. No, that wasn't meant to be. She could feel the cold of her weak bed, and hear the screams, and murmurs of the building, of the torture chamber. This fight to the death, pitting the life of a pitiless disease and the life of a worthless animal for the amusement and fascination of others. This dogfight pit, without the dogs. This gladiator arena where people watch their own fight to the death while screaming for more pain. This three-way battle of WORTHLESS, MEANINGLESS lives of a disease, weak human, and other humans, who have no life, so they take the lives of others, while fighting a battle of toughness against the other two WORTHLESS pieces of GARBAGE.

A piece of dirt, meaningless, left to a life of observation of sad-fated wretches. Almost automatically, in her emotions, Ireta took a deep breath. She froze. Fear tensed and coiled in her mind, like a snake, helplessly waiting to strike out before the pain arrived. It never came. She slowly exhaled. No pain. Very cautiously, she tried again, only faster. Nothing. No. This was... A dream, a deception, an experiment on how she reacted to a fantasy. Something that would never happen to her... It just wasn't possible... Was it?She opened her eyes to the light. She closed her ears from the sounds of agony she had just let out herself, not long ago. Before something happened. Something... What was it? Surely it was a lie, something artificial, an illusion, wasn't it? Maybe it was... Maybe... Not? Was that even possible? Could that have even happened? Maybe...In an act of complete insanity, she swung herself up into a sitting position, her legs hitting the floor. Her dark eyes widened in complete confusion. They saw what she always, saw, or at least, remembered, before she tried not to move. Alright, suppose this was a miracle. Why?She remembered other experiments surviving, going on to develop powers. Was that even possible? Would she be able to do that? Hah, probably not, but this was still a miracle. She tried to stand up. Her weak, unused legs buckled under her weight. She got up again, and managed to sit cross-legged in the middle of her cell, and gave a small grin.

Hannah sat her cell, Daydreaming about home. Everything just melted into nothing as she sat there in her cell, elbows on her knees and head resting in her hands. She knew that she would get out, but she couldn't stop believing.Jake looked down the hall at that girl. 'At least she has the courage to believe she'll somehow escape.' He thought. He rolled his eyes as the girl took on a rather "Haunted" look in her eyes. He then sat down under his bed again and waited for something to happen.Jenny sat in the kitchen on a stool, leaning against the wall with her legs and arms crossed. She was bored. She hummed to the tune of Safe and Sound by Taylor Swift. A tear rolled down her cheek at the sad words and how they perfectly described the life of the kids here. Just waiting for that one magical day when they would gain their freedom. Although she admired the kids for believing, she knew that they would never get out.
