Hannah's pacing began to make Storm's head ache, but the dark haired girl said nothing. She needed to perfect her plan. "Okay, enough with the pacing. We have stuff to do." She said, sick of doing nothing.

Hannah sat down. "I think the first thing we need to do is eat." Said Hannah. "If they ever let us."

Quiet chatter filled the hallway - a chorus of voices stretched along the entire lenght of the cell unit, bouncing off the grim walls and echoing off towards the far end where the main exit, and the guards, were located. Despite the irking cluster, all uniformed men remained put, visibly waiting for an arrival.
Not particularly intrigued (but bored to non-existence) Eytan poked an eye from his cage, looking at the assembled military. They were watching over the main 'gate' - it was a wide and lenghty stainless steel door, equipped with a timelock for dials and a fancy multi-lock lever that barely served for anything.
By the time he had solidly sunken in contemplations, a mechanical flatline broke his train of thought and he looked up, irked.
The timelock, the source of the noises, made a consecutive chorus of four clanks and another deafening flatline, announcing the unlocking of the vault door. Stirring nervously, the guards lined up on the prolonged lever, gripping it tightly and pulled on the door altogether. It was only cracked ajar, letting two fgures slip in among the guards, then closed in the matter of seconds. Safety precausions were tight.
Clad in utterly distinctive white coats that contrasted sharply to the array of black uniforms, the duo moved forward, revealing themselves fully.
A man and a woman. Both considerably young. The girl - obsidian hair, tinted a faint gray, looming height, pale bony figure concealed by the oversized pearlescent coat, dark blue eyes, accentuated by black circles underneath them, from lack of sleep. The boy - white skin, matching white hair, matching... nearly white eyes, a faded blue color. Average height, standing shorter than the woman and with snowy coat to finish off his strange whiteness.
Both proceeded inside, with caution, accompanied by a tight horde of guards. By the first cage, the woman halted, crouching down to inspect the experiment residing there, while the pearly man had stopped by the opposite cage - Cage #2, where a boy resided.
Producing a small medical flashlight from his pocket, he took a look at the papers littering his hands. "Jake Bennet" he read the name typed neatly in the boy's dosie, then scanned the picture provided.
He directed the light from his flashlight, shining it directly in Jake's eye.
"Can you see me? Can you hear me?"
Activity checkup was crucial - it was an obligatory procedure, which, albeit being simple, helped detect any shift in the health and stability of the experiments.

Christa heard them though she could see them. She groaned slightly to herself, the scientists were coming. Hearing the same thing over and over everyday grew annoying after 4 years. Yes could hear and see well, would she be sitting at the entrance to her cell staring around if she couldn't see? Wouldn't she have not flinched when their footsteps echoed past her cell if she couldn't hear them. This is getting ridiculous, I haven't shown any sign of a power in 4, almost 5, years, they mistook me for someone else, she told herself.

She slowly got to her feet and stretched a bit, she then took her place by the cell door. Her eyes shifted from one prisoner to the next, she would sometimes come across an empty cell. She kept her mouth shut and she gazed back into the dark interior of her cell. She waited quietly for the people to come to her, she'd just nod her head to their questions and they'd leave her to be for the rest of the day. She picked a small pebble and threw it at the wall just to hear the small sound vibrate thoughout her quiet sound, it was the tiniest noise but to Christa it sounded deafening just because she was so used to the quietness in her cell.

@jupiter_hollow I'm finally pulling together a post ='D

Many clanks and rustles were the first thing to pluck the albino from her sleep, the quiet chatter of the other beings kept under prison didn't help the mater any. Her skull ached as a few rushes of pain wrapped their unforgiving embrase around her quivering body. Cringing once, Pixle's bloodshot eyes scanned what she could only define as bleak darkness. Frowning before realizing her goggles and scarf covered her site, the girl quickly cleared her vision and glanced around, at least there was a bit more light now.
Shaking her head, Pixle curled in the farthest corner of her containment, tucked in fetal position, quivering from pain and a small bit of fear. Nothing had been 'normal' in the past few months, and the pain caused her muddled thoughts to muck up and turn to colored blurs. Every word of the seemingly senseless chatter caused her cranium to throb more with an icy sharp pain.
The albino cursed under her breath, pressing the heel of her hand into her eye, trying to cope with the lingering feeling. Taking another small glance around, she tried to ignore the aching enouth to latch on and make sense of the scribbles of nonsense that made up the chatter of everyone else. Before she could clearly make out what anyone was saying, she let out a short, bloodied cough, the jolts causing her body to ache more which, in turn, put a damper on her curiosity.
Pained and defeated, she curled against the bars again, letting her eyes slip closed behind the pink-red lenses that so mockingly matched the hue of her eyes. not bothering to move or make any action as to being alive, just listening.

Name: Autumn "Aykay" Kapelle
Gender: F
Current age: 17
Age you were taken at: 11
Cell number: 25
Ability: Super-developped senses. (Her five senses are far superior to normal human senses)
Appearance: Tall with an average build. Her hair is blonde and falls just past her shoulders. She wears glasses so that she can see at a normal range (her vision is long-range) and earplugs so that loud noises don't bother her.
Personality: She is highly studious and very intelligent, since she spent most of her time in the library, where it is quiet. She is fairly quiet, but irritable and socially awkward.
History: Prior to her abilities developping, she was deaf and blind, and so doesn't remember much before then, other than smells and foods she tasted. As far as she is concerned, she has been there her whole life and so doesn't understand why the others want to get out so badly.

Ireta stared straight across the small hallway, into the other cell. The person hadn't moved. At all. Something had been happening down in cells 40-60, but that was 40 cells away. 2 rows of 20 stacks of torture pots. Or maybe not torture pots. There were less screams than she remembered. She couldn't hear her own. Noise was still in the air. Screams, cries, struggles, conversations.

Conversations. She didn't understand how... And why. How they could be doing it. Why they were. This was a hopeless leech, sucking off of its prisoners. There was no reason to talk. No way to escape the pain. No purpose to entertain the scientists, hearing them talk about how "#32 has been interacting furiously with #74, even though they are so far apart." Or how "We should move them away, something isn't right with that."

She closed her eyes, only to see herself, screaming in agony. She could see others too. She saw those mindless goons, so bored they decided to make their pitiful lives even worse, coming forward in fascination, somehow at peace with the disgusting, even sometimes waste-filled, condition of this floor. She knew the others were probably better. She didn't know. She had stayed here her entire time. Stuck in that cell, with her only privacy, only secret place, on a pot behind a hanging towel.

@jupiter_hollow It's not too late to join, right? .3.

Name: Lydia De Wraith
Gender: Female
Current age: 17
Age you were taken at: 11
Cell number: #078
Ability: She can make her nails grow into claws and her teeth grow all razor sharp, but the only problem with this is she will lose control and will cause her pupils to dilate widely.
Appearance: Long, dark reddish brown hair that gets wavy closer to the bottom and in the middle, almost making the tips curly and almost always falls in her face. She has extremely pale skin due to seven years in her cell, dark brown eyes with a bit of a dull look to them, very noticable cheek bones, her nose is very sharp and she has oval eyes. She is a somewhat normal height for her age at 5'7, and is very skinny.
Personality: She is almost always silent and never likes to talk in conversations, and will just be seen talking to answer a question or say a quiet greeting, unless she is forced to talk. Lydia has always been shy, even when she wasn't going through the pain. She is almost immune to anger, and it is practically impossible for her to stand up for herself and will just cry when someone is rude to her.
History: She use to help her father in a lab somewhere in Houston Texas, and she always loved to eat whatever her mother cooked. She always helped hand her father tools and took peeks of chemicals and whatnot under microscopes, but just stayed silent and watched most of the time. When she developed the pain in her chest her father desperately tried to make mixture to cure her, but, of course, failed. Lydia stilled survived through it, but when she was taken it left her parents mourning.
Other: Her mother had been from the UK and her father from America.

Name: Caine Nextus

Gender: Male

Current age: 18

Age you were taken at: 14

Cell number: #62

Ability: Caine can shift and become an arctic wolf as he wishes. His wolf form is a bit larger than a normal wolf however, and there isn't much point to becoming one in this place, besides trying to kill someone, which would get him nowhere good.

Appearance: Tall and a bit thin, Caine has semi-long white hair and bright blue eyes. He appears very carefree and laid back.

Personality: Caine doesn't worry much and is very easygoing. He doesn't mind being here too much and accepts things as they are for the most part, though he'd like to be out of here just the same.

History: He was in an orphanage until the age of 10, and wandered on his own for four years before being taken away, missed by no one.

Other: Caine dislikes extreme heat and too much noise. His favorite food is steak.

Fang hugged the cat close to his chest as he waited for either of the scientists to come over to his cage. He was in cell number 8, and they were at 1 and 2. The experiment carefully mulled over how he should act. An amused grin spread out across his face as he patted the cat's fur. Maybe he could pull the crazy card. If he acted insane enough, they might dump him somewhere nicer. The cat padded over to one of the walls, then began to scratch at the stone curiously.

He stared at the cat for a few seconds, before turning back to the entrance of his cell. He scooted to the back wall, and waited for the scientists to come by.

Aykay sat quietly near the door of her cell, waiting patiently to be examined. She flipped through the book she'd borrowed from the library. It was a book of animals, of which she'd only seen two. She had bookmarked those two pages and absent-mindedly flipped to them in turn.

"Canis lupus arctos"... there was a boy who could turn into an arctic wolf... She'd seen him in the power training room before.

Then there was the "Rattus norvegicus" - the brown rats that she sometimes saw scampering away frantically from equally startled guards.

The cages around her were empty, but that didn't bother her. The others were loud (at least to her) and not even the earplugs given to her to help with the painful headaches she used to get made their talking tolerable.

She was used to her deaf silence, and going from that to apparently super-human hearing... she wasn't really sure if she liked it at all.

Raziel's cell was, like all cells, very empty with nothing amusing or interesting inside. It seemed as if time passed by slower in this small space. The boy was always waiting for something to happen, any little event was enough to break the dull feeling that his existence was pointless and meaningless. Strangely he never noticed how depressed he is and it truly didn't show since he would turn optimistic and cheerful whenever a person came by, even if it were a cruel guard or cold scientist.
He was now sitting on the floor beside the bars with his head resting on the cold metal. His attention wasn't directer at anything in particular and his thoughts drifted as he was close to falling asleep again despite the cold air making him shiver every once in a while. The scientist were coming to check on the experiments soon but still, it would have been pleasant if he could have the same dream as before. As vivid as the first time.
It was a rather strange dream, not very realistic. There was a tall building with not much walls and many openings, windows and a few doors. Raziel was in a small room that resembled his cell in size but the atmosphere was much different. The wall facing outside was gone and since it was high from the ground the view was nice with the sun painting the sky in warm tones as it slowly dissipated behind the horizon. There were many other buildings and houses present in the scenery and it seemed familiar to him. Possibly it was a memory of one of the towns he use to live in.
A faint smile appeared on Raziels face as he thought about it all once more but his eyes made it hard to believe he was expressing happiness or joy trough the smile. As he fell asleep in the strange building he woke up here in the cell so perhaps that was reality and this is only a nightmare he thought, but quickly he realized how self deceiving and absurd such thinking is.
Finally the hall was filled with voices as the scientist entered and the check up began.

Caine lay quietly, leaned back with his legs crossed in his bed. He was basically just hanging out. He had his eyes closed, but he wasn't asleep, just thinking about various things. He did this often, as there really wasn't much else to do. He was certainly not a reader, so the library was just a place where he could enjoy one of his favorite things, peace and quiet.

He didn't enjoy reading as much as he did writing. Well, he had never actually written anything before, but he did like making up short stories. He would think them out like a book being narrated. There was one thing that all of these stories had in common, they were all about wolves.

Aykay closed the book and removed her glasses. Without them, she could see the others further down the hall more clearly. It wasn't so much that she was interested in them or whatever it was that they did it their personal time, it was just that until she was allowed into the library, she had nothing better to do. Besides, she wanted to see how long it would be before her turn.

With her glasses off, the first thing that caught her eye was the one known as Fang, and she immediately looked away. He was a pretty intimidating guy, and he made her nervous.

She looked past his cell to where one of the scientists had stopped. She had to squint a little to see this cell, even with her impressive vision. She couldn't remember this one's name, but she was pretty sure the first letter was 'J'.

There was one scientist on each side, but Aykay couldn't remember how many people there were between the first cage and hers. There were quite a few empty cages now, like the one across from hers, so it was difficult to know.

Storm let the rat go, and the critter scurried off. Storm sighed. Not even the rats liked her anymore. She stiffled tears, knowing Hannah only wished to get out, and would team up with whoever she could to escape. She didn't really like Storm. No one did. Storm sighed, and poked her head through the bars, watching as the scientists crept closer to her cell. She groaned. They came all the time. It just... really annoyed Storm. It got old real fast. Storm wanted to see what the weather was like... Could she even remember the snow anymore? What did rain sound like? The 16-year old had forgotten already.

She wanted to run in the rain, her hair soaking wet, sticking to her back.... Her wet clothes stuck to her skin, the cold rain pouring down, beading up on her skin... The clean smell of fresh air... Storm's eyes closed as she pictured the scene. The grass back in Oregon, bright green against the grey backdrop of the sky. The little rays of sunlight lighting up the wet streets, reflecting the sky, and the looming evergreen trees. The lush forests full of plant-life...

Performing the same on the experiment opposite of cell #002, the woman stood after she'd done her job. Absentmindedly fiddling with the stray papers of her clipboard, she scribbled in half-heartedly and

She moved to walk ahead towards the next cell, quite slowly, hence the full attention she was paying to the notes. Mirroring her actions, the guards shuffled after, comically inching forward like a moving live wall.
Next in row were cells #007 and #008. She only bothered taking a short look at the list of numerous cages, noting herself of the experiments' names, still in mid-jog to the far off cells. "Miki Syuri; Fang Diable" she mouthed to herself, already standing in front of athe tight gloomy cages. Both experiments faced each other. She didn't know if they'd attempted to communicate, although by the looks of Miki's conditions, she had great doubts.
She stepped in front of the cage, flicking the flashlight on again and pointed it in the girl's icy blue pupil, penetrating the thick darkness and Miki's eyes without warning.
"Can you see me? Can you hear me?" the monotonous, nearly dead voice clearly questioned.
She didn't expect an answer. The girl was disabled, not capable of mustering out an answer if she wanted to. Now, needless to say, her questions were fruitless, but it was procedures.

Miki knew the bright light was coming, but it didn't change the fact that it seemed to startle her every time. This woman clearly didn't expect anything from her, which made her want even more to show her she wasn't incapable of everything. Sadly, she was, or so it seemed.

Thoughts rapidly flew through her mind as the light continued to burn in her eyes. "I can hear you, I can see you!" she whispered helplessly inside, as if admitting so would make the painful brightness go away.

What she did not notice was the echo of her thought throughout the small area, reaching only the woman, the guards accompanying and Fang Diable, who was straight across from her own cell. Miki did however get a strange sensation, the best way to describe it being as though she had just been in another place before fading back into reality. What just happened?

Without realizing, Miki had used some form of telepathy to unknowingly communicate with several people. After all, she was reaching the age in which all experiment's powers mature.

When the distant whispers reached the woman, she had been nonchalantly looking over the statistic in her hand (still pointing the flashlight). The feel of a foreign voice inside her mind made her jolt backwards, falling with a startled shriek. The guards, shocked as well, took a few to finally come to their senses and comply to help her up. The tanned muscled men also drew away, the echo still embedded in their heads.
Scrambling to her feet patheticaly, the woman brushed disheveled strands of hair from her eyes and looked at Miki, trembling fingers fiddling with the folder.
She swept her eyes across the name, a picture of the seemingly emotionless girl (that even now stood motionlessly, watching with a dull expression) and the blank space under "Power"...
Miki was and always had been paralyzed. Handicapped, disabled, call it whatever you want - the point was, she wasn't supposed to live this long, much less receive her powers.
The woman drew in a deep breath, stumbling over her feet towards the cage again, smartening her wrinkled coat up and regaining some of her dignity.
"Speak again." she ordered, in a harsh manner, firm poison green eyes locking with Miki's.

There was a grunt from cell 108, as its inhabitant slowly got up. This time, Ireta managed to not fall to her knees, and she slowly, carefully walked around her cell. It hurt, and it wasn't easy, but she managed to finally get her muscles to start moving again. She glanced at the towel in the corner as she walked by it, and a sudden, random though occurred to her. How had she survived? Without eating or drinking the past few weeks? How did she feel clean, too? The only logical answer she thought of was that the scientists, when she was asleep... Did intravenous feeding, and... Cleaned... Her... Parts...

Ew. Well, now she could do that herself. Good, because she wasn't sure she could sleep with the thought of that happening. A sudden, small shriek came from the first cells. Out of curiosity, Ireta talked over to the front part of her little room, and looked down. There was a scientist, who must have been surprised by something. She was down around cell 10, so she would take a while to get down 100 cells.

She withdrew her head and walked back over to her weak little mattress. She turned around, facing the wall, and miniature glass window at the top of the wall, near the ceiling. She sat, cross-legged, and took a deep breath. She didn't know what to do, now. Nothing was really important before, nothing she could focus on. She decided to focus on one thing first. Blocking out the screams that made her guts twist up in fear and anger.

A small figure sat on her cell's bed, shivering with a thin blanket draped over her. Her head hung low, as did her shoulders and she had her knees aganist her chest.

The teenager had freezing tears pouring down her cheeks, stinging the skin and making her dark eyes reddened a bit. She didn't understand why they like to make their original experiments freeze with leaving the windows open, but it gave her a frightening expression that these people were horrible and uncaring.

After a few more minutes of her sobbing, she found herself unable to sprout anymore tears and so she wiped them away. She still couldn't breath, her throat felt like a knot inside her and gave her a slight pain in her lungs.

Christa was now bored. Straing at the same people nd same cell everyday made life pretty boring after the first few days. She sighed and began to draw pictures in the dirt and dust at the bottom of her cell. Most were pictures of animals, dogs, cats, and stuff like that. She also had drawn pictures of simple things like books or notebooks but she quickly wiped away the dust so she didn't have to look at those pictures. School items reminded her of her old life, back then school had been her entire life, she never focused on anything but that. Sighing, Christa looked away from her drawings, her gaze once again on the other cells and the people inside them.

She almost thought it was her imagination but she could have sworn she heard crying coming from some where. She shrugged, she shouldn't have been as surprised as she was. When she had first arrived, she had cried for three days straight, well after she had gotten over the shock of being in such a strange place. The crying she had thought she had heard was gone and she guessed it was probably just some little kid that was missingtheir family or something.

She jumped slightly as she felt something crawl over her foot. She jerked her head in the direction but she then realized that it had only been a rat. She stared at it for awhile, it seemed to be trying to get out of her cell, I wish I were a rat, then I could get out of here. She thought to herself, she was actually comforted by the sight of the rat though, considering they were the only animal Christa saw anymore. She loved animals and was glad that animals had been taken completely away from her life, even if they were just filthy rats.

Aykay turned to where she could see the female scientist standing in front of a cage. It seemed as though something had startled her and as far as she knew, nothing had happened.

The guards seemed equally startled, which could only mean one thing in this place where nothing happened - someone's power was awakening.

Knowing this would only further delay her examination, Aykay pulled out a different book from under her bed. This one was a novel, and it had been given to her by the librarian.

She opened up the cover and immediately put her finger to the page. Before her powers had awakened, she had been blind and deaf, and so she had only read in braille for the majority of her life. She was much slower reading printed books, since she'd only had a year of reading that way.

Lifting her head some, Pixle listened closely, the cells seemed to have fallen quiet other than the sound of the scientists slowly checking in on each 'patient' A few sparks danced along the floor from her fingertips, pain racking her body. Praying internally that the agitating feeling would leave soon, the albino curled back up, fixing her scarf some. Cursing under her breath at the lingering and unforgiving cold that seemed to envelope her small quivering body in a shroud that only brought more pain, Pixle coughed a bit more before slumping against the corner, blood having left a small stain on her lips, though she was too pained to wipe at it, feeling too lazy to as well..

Instead of making any noise or movement to see what was happening, she pulled her knees to her chest and let her overly sensetive eyes slide shut. Listening carefullly, the smiple phrase echoing down the halls from the scientist, bouncing off of the cold hard floors and walls. The albino cringed as another wave of pain washed over her, just as cold and unforgiving as the last.

Ireta closed her eyes, and tried not to listen to the screams, squeals, bangs, cries. It wasn't easy. She tried focusing on nothing, which was a lot easier, actually. Nothing but pain had been her thoughts for so long, and the peace seemed to be creeping into her mind the same way pain had, except peace was so much better, so much more... Quiet.

Quiet and peace... It was nice... She suddenly realized, she couldn't hear anything. Or see! None of her senses were working... Only that sixth sense she'd hear about once... That lets you know where your body was. But even that felt weird. She felt like she could float anywhere, and was being buffeted by the faintest vibrations to do just that.

Alright, maybe she could still feel... Or sense, the air currents. Which was weird. Vibrations were coming from an angle from behind her, but it was a lot more peaceful on the other sides... There was no wind in this stale air, but there were so many vibrations... From the walls, into the air.

Was that what she was? Air? Pure nothingness? Maybe, but how could she fix it? She came into this weirdness by trying to ignore the sounds. She wanted peace and quiet... So... Ireta summoned her memories. Memories of pain, screams. Memories she wanted to forget the moment they became memories.

She felt herself in her normal surroundings. With the noise. She opened her eyes and looked around. Was it just a crazy imagination? No, she was on top of her mattress. She had moved.
