Travel agency auto buying

I know I'm not the only one who dislikes the new travel agency haggling system, so I would suggest an auto buy.

Just 5 minutes ago, I saw a travel and wanted to buy it that was approximately 4,896. I offered 5,000 on it, and it told me:
"I cannot accept an offer that high".
I'm sorry, but that's ridiculous. After the time it took me to get the travel's code punched in again, someone else had taken it. The newer system is simply frustrating, so here's my idea:

When you click on a travel, on top of the haggling section, there could be a button that says something like: "instant buy". That would mean that if you clicked it, you would pay full price.

The haggling section would still be there, but there would be an option to pay full price and avoid the annoying travel master telling you that you're not offering enough, or too much.

@lucky_cricket - I kind of agree although I seldom buy at ttravels at the TA.. XD

@lucky_cricket

It happened to me too! ☚ī¸
I think your idea it's really great, however! Because I usually don't pay a price too much different from the initial one (there is like 10-30ECs of difference .-.), so I won't mind paying the full price. And this would be faster and more fair for all too ^^

@snowrosehell Thanks for your support!

@wererage Also, buying full price would save you having to enter that silly code.

Deleted • 28 January 2013 at 9:02 AM

@lucky_cricket

Exactly 😊
The code it's useful only If you want to try to haggle. But If you don't want to waste the time, that button would be perfect ^^

@lucky_cricket Yah, I would like that it changes back to befeore, I mean, you clicked it, you got it.

The security code was added as a preemptive measure against scripts and bots. So we aren't going to take that away or put in a way around it.

However, if you don't want to haggle you can always just type in the full price. Haggling is there for the people who want to try and save a few EC when travel buying.

@orderedchaos ok, I understand. I just find it annoying when it tells me that I've offered to much, just to make things go quicker, especially on a rare travel.

Also, it prevents just one person from buying all the travels really fast. It gives other users a chance too!

I remember before, I would sometimes get all of a rare travel, just because I happened to click on the TA at the exact moment it was restocking. It's good for me, but not really fair to anyone else.

The code and haggling might be annoying, but it slows everything down and spreads the rare travels around. 😊

@lucky_cricket

The security code is definitely good, but I agree it shouldn't reject your offer if it's too much.

@solaris Thanks, I do agree with that I guess. Ok, maybe i should change my idea. There could be a button to buy it without haggling, but you'd still need to use a security code. It would just prevent the haggling issue, but it would be available for those that want it.

@lemonlime820 Yeah, especially because it was only 200 too much.

@lucky_cricket

And 5,000 is so much easier to type than 4,853 or whatever.

I think just a button for full price that had the security code would solve this problem.

Similar things have happened to me as well, so I really like this idea - with the exception that I have a feeling that the TA would clear out even faster than it already does. @_@

Although, I don't think accepting more EC than a travel costs is a good idea. I mean, what if your hand slips and you type 50000 instead of 5000? The TA would be like, "Wooo! More EC for me!" XD

@banana

Well, not here. But, I did the opposite once on Neopets. I had something that I wanted to put in my shop for 100000 (back when that meant that it was a gallery item), but I put it at 10000. ☚ī¸

Yes, I love this idea. I just saw a cigar galaxy travel and because of the haggling system I didn't get it. ☚ī¸

They created that system so people wouldn't take all of one travel easily.

@lucky_cricket

Haggling is awful XD It takes time to type the full price. And today TA rejected my offer that was 70 EC too low XD There should be at least 100 EC haggling space! 😈

I feel the code is important at preventing bots and giving others a chance to actually get travels.

I don't mind the idea of a "buy now" button, but the code needs to stay.

@lucky_cricket

Okay, I totally agree with you. It really annoys me when I visit the TA, and I take like, half a minute trying to type in the number correctly and so that the price range is correct. It would save tons of time if we were to have a buy now button. 😃 *Looks at posts above* Hm.. yeah, the code should probably stay.

Great idea! See my suggestion please? I need as many people as possible to see it and keep the idea alive! I want Ian to eventually see it 😊 http://eggcave.com/forums/topic/36706
