The Oddlings (Semi Lit.)

Some live in the forests, rumored to lurk, kidnapping others into the dark depths of the looming trees. Some live in urban areas, yet... Alone. No family, not at all. We all know that they're different, but what is the difference? They seem normal, but something is off...
~
We know we're odd.

We've known for a long, long time. People talk about parents, but we don't have any. Some of us go to school, and some of us lurk in the shadows. We have powers. Unlike the normal people. We don't know why.

But now... Something's up. We see each other on occasion, us 'oddlings'. But we see the others less and less now, and the disappearings in the forest have decreased, almost stopped in the last week. Where are they?
~
We've been taken. Where to? No one really knows. We're in dark, cold, dirty cells, and strange men keep asking us about powers, and our parents. But why?
~
Oddligs ~ Some children have been born of the elements (a.k.a. YOU!) and are disappearing to be tested on. How? It's unknown, even to the elemental children. But science will be used to find out. It won't work, but it doesn't hurt to try. Some roam free. Will the taken escape? Will they die? Will the free find the taken, or remain in the dark as to what's happening?

Scientists ~ You guys are studying the 'oddlings'. Not much more to say, other than most are cruel. Nice scientists are very hard to come by.

Guards ~ You guys keep everything at the Oddling prison in order, and keep the strange children from escaping. You are very strong, easily overpowering children. But, some have been exhibiting powers beyond comprehension. You must stay on your toes to keep these dangerous children in.

Element: Darkness
Appearance: Short, tan girl with freckles all over her face, trailing from each cheekbone to the other, crossing the bridge of her nose. Long, chocolate brown curly hair that cascades down to the middle of her back in big ringlets. She has deep green eyes that seem to stare into your soul. She wears ripped skinny jeans and a plain black tee. She also wears black and white checkered Vans. She is a bit on the scrawny side.
Personality: Sarcastic, and quite funny. She enjoys scaring people, and loves to laugh. She isn't the most social person, and many don't seem to like her, although she couldn't care less about what people think of her. She isn't afraid to speak her mind, and is very stubborn and hard-headed, not listening to others' ideas before applying her own plans.
Other: She lives in the forest, and likes luring people in the dark. She causes some of the recent human disappearences.

Appearance: He has a 'fluffy' look,his light blonde hair is a bit to long but flows in a gorgeous way 'round his shoulders,his deep blue eyes have yellow specks if you look closely his eyes glimmer when he's happy or excited,he is 6"5 he has olive skin,He wears dark blue jeans and shirts with large Logo's on them usually with his favorite TV channel,he wears bracelets when fighting for a cause,he thinks it's cool or something,he has one of his ears pierced because he was in a band,he has a smile all the time.
Personality: His bright attitude gains and looses him many friends,he likes fighting for causes because it gives him something to do,he is usually doing something,he doesn't like being bossed around and told what to do,he has rare explosions that usually end him up in jail,he barely ever says a harsh word because he believes swear words destroy you,some people take him as a hippy and a geek they only say that behind his back because he is rather muscular,he is very shy around girl and has trouble even talking to his teacher,he is rather laid back and doesn't like working hard.
Other:He likes to shine and look good in front of other people,so he can be very vain.

Appearance: He is tall, close to 6ft, and slightly muscular. He has medium length, dark brown hair that falls just above his bright hazel eyes. He usually wears a white lap coat over his casual dress shirt and suit pants. Attached to his belt loop is a pair of handcuffs. His gun is concealed in a holster under his left arm.
Personality: Cruel and someone the children fear. If he catches them doing something he doesn't like, he threatens to keep them back in line. He doesn't care for them and sees them only as freaks who should stay lab rats.
Other: Has combat experience, since he was trained in the military as one of the soldiers.

Element: Air! His head is constantly in the clouds, what would you expect?!
Appearance: Height of 6'8, Vick often ends up awkwardly sticking above everyone else, so to slightly reduce that uncomfortable effect, he walks with a hunched over posture. Posesses the figure of a dancer - slim body, but no muscles. He's definitelly on the skinny side, so he appears weak. When underestimated like this, he often surprises with his seemingly abnormal strenght (though often, he uses his elemental powers to aid him). Ghost white skin from lack of sun and hence the time he spent indoors in the laboratories. Chin lenght shaggy light brown hair, streaked with pure white highlights, framing a pale, freckled face and light brown (amber) eyes. His clothing consists of plain hoodies, converse, loose jeans and normal clothes in general, but there's one rule: only black. In general, he resembles a walking ghost, clad in dark...
Personality: He's short-tempered and easily caught off guard. Can be labeled as over-confident in some aspects and modest in others. He praises his own abilities, believes in them unconditionally, but gets saddened quite easily when those beliefs fall short. Worries about nothings often (instead of worrying about the important things) and overthinks his every move(mainly when in dangerous situations). Doesn't learn from his mistakes, even though they're many. Naturally kind-hearted and a trusty friend. Contrastingly to his usual behaviour, he has a habit of changing his attitude towards people he considers dangerous. He turns practically invisible, making it clear that he would rather huddle up in a lonely corner than chat with that person, even if he/she was the last one on Earth. It's obvious when he doesn't dislike people, but it's also obvious when he does.
Other: Despises the laboratories and scientists to death.

As well as blind cold ice-blue eyes that feel as if your blood is freezing as she looks at you. She usually wears black and has a scar of a rather large bitemark on her arm why she is not really sure.
Personality: She is a very bipolar person and can be relatiley happy then just get serious in the blink of an eye.
Other: She has a small Mane Coone cat shadowing her which acts as her eyes. By guiding her around trees and holes.

Jumping down from the tree, Storm realized with a sudden frown that it was happy and sunny today. "Nothing like a thick fog to shun the sun." She murmured, snapping her fingers. Tendrils of dark grey fog rolled from every pore on her body, surrounding her and encasing the forest in the thickest fog Storm had created in months. The forest fell utterly silent, and the child of darkness grinned maliciously, thinking of all the poor souls she would lead astray on this very fine day.

#Intro
The first thing he felt while awakening, was cold. The icy air brushed agaisnt his thin skin, chilling him to the bone as he shuddered lightly, frowning before even opening his eyes. Only after he sat up did he groggily crack one eye open, glaring at the barred cell door.

A growl escaped his lips as he pulled the paper thin covers over his head like a hood and stood up, yawning. After stretching Victor pulled on his only hoodie to prevent some body heat, and moved to approach the window nearby. The boy peered through it, looking at the gray outside world. He sighed, his breath rolling out as mist.

It was early in the morning, he guessed by the rising sun. Today's dawn was very gloomy. Gray clouds hung in the sky, threatening to pour rain on them. He hoped the weather wouldn't worsen though... If it did, the cells would get even colder. Another strange thing - everything in sight was surrounded with a thick fog.

"Stupid sun... Come out, will you?" he muttered childishly, as if commanding the clouds to clear out and make way for the sunlight.

Storm heard footsteps approaching, along with a heated argument from seemingly male voices. "No man! I don't want to go!" Someone snarled. The others laughed. "Okay, we'll make you a deal; if you find whatever's causing the disappearances, we'll be your servants for three years." One said, and Storm could almost hear a couple of the kids nod. Typical. "It's not worth it!" The first yelled. "Just do it." The second replied dryly, and Storm heard a thump, and knew that the first boy had fallen onto the ground. Time to play. She heard running, signifying that the boy's friends had run off, deserting him out of fear.

Alice woke up in her apartment turning off her alarm clock as she stumbled out of bed and started getting ready for school.After Alice was done she quickly got into her car and drove off. When Alice arrived she quickly ran to her classroom to be scolded by her science teacher."Sorry" Alice said as she sat down in her seat and watched as the teacher gave his lecture.

@aizel Pretty much, and they aren't let out at all. Meals are given to them in their cells, but we have no scientists right now. You or I could make one, if you need something to do. ^^

The boy gulped and stood on shakes legs while a predator watched him. "Follow me." Storm called, yet her voice was nothing more than a subtle whisper. The boy swung his head about, and saw nothing. "No, you'll just kill me like you did to the others!" He called back, and a shadowy figure stepped in front of him, clouded in the mist. "Trust me." Storm murmured, her voice silky and inviting. This boy would follow her like a sheep, and she would herd him. Where? Storm didn't really know. "Okay..." The boy replied quietly, and trailed after Storm, when suddenly, she disappeared. First, she wanted to drive him to madness. It was so much more fun that way, and while Storm usually didn't do much more than scare people, she had a feeling that today was different.

The boy looked around wildly, searching for the comforting female voice that was his only solace in this evil place. "Where are you?" He cried out, but he got no answer, and he had followed the girl far into the forests. There was no map or compass he could rely on, and so he was lost. Just like Storm had planned.
