She stomped right up to that big 'ol meanie who cut her. "I don't care if you shove me, or cut in front of me after I waited my turn, but you don't talk to other ponies that way!" Her voice squeaked as her eyes began to boil with rage. "I don't know why the hay you're so grouchy, but leave the poor mare alone!" She pushed her front hooves into the stallion's crimson chest, using her weight and wings in a feeble attempt to push him away from the cart.

She's just slow. Now, I suggest that you go find your vegetables somewhere else." Pepper growled threateningly, grabbed the filly by the scruff of her neck and threw her aside.

@sstwins Oh my. Shadow's going to rage. XD@sstwinz@neko-chan@sarahzafirah@creampuff--"I'm not little!" Shadow shrieked, standing up and charging the mean stallion. "And you're just a big fat bully with nothing better to do than pick on other ponies!" She shouted as she barreled into him, beating him with her hooves for a she was worth. Her vision reddened, and Shadow felt like she was watching herself beat the stallion up from afar.

@neko-chan @sarahzafirah @ems I'm getting you two tomatoes because they're half a bit each! @sstwins Sorry, I was busy!! @creampuff @sandstorm99Lightning stared in shock of the fight that was now happening in front of her stand. She really had no idea what to do. She picked up the stallion's bag and gently began filling it with tomatoes. She also got out two tomatoes and a head of lettuce for the filly. After doing that, Lightning realized that having a huge fight right in front of her stand was not helping her business. She walked over to the two fighting ponies and tapped the filly on the shoulder.

@sstwinz Okies. 😸@sstwins@neko-chan@creampuff--Shadow turned to see the pony running the stand, and her face reddened and fell. "I'm... I'm sorry." She whispered, grabbing her bag and dropping the bits on the stand. "I should go." She cringed under the looks of a few bystanders.

@neko-chan @sarahzafirah @ems 😉 @sstwinz Glad you're back! @creampuff @sandstorm99Pepper grabbed the filly while she was walking away and pinched her neck on a nerve point, which he knew would create a wave of pain. He growled in her ear. "As I said, go shop somewhere else. You aren't wanted here." He then dumped the filly on the ground and stalked back to the counter, ignoring the stares from other ponies. "Are my tomatoes quite ready?" He demanded.

"I put twelve tomatoes in there, so that'll be si-four bits." She had given the stallion a much better price on the tomatoes than she had wanted to, but she just wanted him to leave.

@sstwins@sstwinz@neko-chan*lazy*--Shadow gasped in pain, dropping her food. Tears flooded her eyes. 'You aren't wanted here.' That was right; Shadow wasn't wanted anywhere. So she picked up her now dirty tomatoes and stood on shaky legs before cantering away messily towards the forest.

@ems @sstwins @sstwinz I feel like a faill.. but I'm really not in the mood to read through all those posts.. anyone got a short summary? 😃Midnight Splash entered her fashion shop and sighed, starting to work on her latest dress, a long gown with a few sparkles and bows, soon to be her best creation. it crossed her mind about the other ponies and what they might be doing, but she shook her head.. she needed to concentrate.

@sstwins - Whoa summary please? oAoCinnamon Dust was among the ponies who went to check out the sample that the scouts had return with. Even though he wasn't very familiar with all the sciencey stuff, he might as well take a look.There were too many ponies right now who wanted to look at the book.Meanwhile, he saw one of the scouts putting up a piece of parchment paper up at the Town Hall's billboard. It read;'LOOKING FOR VOLUNTEERSFOR NEXT BIG SCOUTING'Now this was something Cinnamon Dust can help with. He approached the pegasus scout, who signed his name for him on the paper.

But I need someone to taste them before i give them to her." Cookie looked at Shadow with a sweet smile hoping that shw wouls say yes.She saw how shadow was getting treated and her horn started glowing. The light from her horn got stronger ever second and it could cause a small earthquake if it got too much. "Are you okay?! You! Don't treat Shadow like that. She may be small, but she has has a big heart. That's why she's one of the strongest ponies in whole Equestria! And.. uh... I can't take it anymore..." The light from her horn exploaded and the ground shaked a little. Everypony stared at her after that little earthquake. "I.. I'm sorry! This always happens when I get mad... huh? Shadow, wait!" Cookie ran to Shadow and looked at her with a worried face.

She wiped her tears away and ran from her new friend. When she saw the sign up, she scribbled her name down. /Maybe I'll do something right.... Finally./ She thought bitterly, trotting back over to Cookie. "Do ya wanna.... Come over to my place?" She asked sheepishly.

@emsCinnamon Dust was chatting with the unicorn who wrote down names, until Shadow came to write down her name. She seemed to be in tears."Miss, are you alri-" He tried to ask, but she trotted off before she could answer. Oh well, she seem to have another friend who could comfort her.Cinnamon Dust thanked the unicorn, and went off to pack up. Volunteers needed to prepare for the long journey. He noticed Pepper stalking off in an angry mood, and somehow felt that it connected with the crying Shadow. Everyone in town was grumpy about how the Six were gone, but Pepper was always a grump and he just got grumpier even more.

Cinnamon Dust was a little surprised that Shadow came back to him, but he welcomed her anyway. "Oh, I was just concerned about you," he explained, almost feeling embarrassed. "You had tears in your eyes. Is everything alright, Shadow?"He knew they didn't talk much, but he hated to see a mare cry - especially a filly! Cinnamon Dust wanted to ask about Pepper too, but decided to drop that.

@creampuff Shadow's a filly. XP--Shadow looked a bit troubled, biting her lip. "Oh... Well, for the most part... Yes. Just.... I was thinking about what my mother used to say. And of course Pepper being a grump didn't help much." She said, a sad look in her eyes. The verbal and physical abuse Shadow had endured never ceased to return everyday, making just buying groceries a struggle--with ponies staring at her scars and whatnot. A flurry of mean things her mother had told her since she was small suddenly flooded Shadow's mind, and she gulped.

@ems - Whoops 😋Ah, so it WAS Pepper. Although he was unaware of whether Shadow's mention of her mother was a good or bad thing, he decided not to touch on sensitive matters. Shadow will open up when she feels like it. "If you'd like, I'll talk to Pepper about it the next time I meet him," he said reassuringly. "Is that okay with you?"

@creampuff xD S'okay. 😸--"If you want to." Shadow smiled. "Somepony needs to show that stallion that he ought not talk to mares the way he does." She glared in his direction. "Oh, you should'a seen the way he treated Lightning. It was awful. And then when I tell him to shut up and treat her better, he calls me little and tells me that I ain't wanted there! You have no idea how many times my mother told me I wasn't wanted anywhere." Her eyes blazed. "Ooo, that Pepper always gets me felling down." She muttered. "But enough about that bad stuff..." She sighed.

@emsAh. There we go. His eyes widened in surprise about Shadow's mother though. He never heard that before - and he's sure none of the other ponies do. That's.. not right. Cinnamon Dust bit his lip, wondering whether to dig into that or not. "I'm sorry to hear that. I should have been there for you guys, no pony ever deserves to take Pepper's wrath," he said. He then joked, "I bet he'd scare whatever beast was taking hold of the Six and the Princesses."But yes, enough of these negative things. "Seems like you and Cookie have plans though," he finally added. "I don't want to interrupt your play-date. Don't worry about Pepper, I'll give him what for!" He flashed a smile.

@creampuff--Shadow laughed quietly at Cinnamon Dust's surprise and jokes. "Oh don't look so surprised. I'm okay now. Ever since I got out of that house..." She trailed off, and shook her head as if shaking the memories from her mind."Oh yes he would. Poor Lightning looked so frightened after I left." Shadow smiled, feeling better. "Thanks, Cinnamon." She said, giving him a quick hug before trotting off again, alone. /Alone. You foal. No matter what anypony says, you're alone./ The words creeped up on Shadow, who decided to talk to Cookie later. She needed to prepare for the scouting.

@emsWhile Shadow hugged him, Cinnamon Dust gave her head a gently pat. It's good to see the filly smile. In fact, it's nice to see one more pony in this sad town smile. "My pleasure," he said as Shadow pulled away to trot off.So the little filly's been living on her own? Cinnamon Dust felt like he didn't have to worry much about it, as it seems much better than living with this mother that she described about. Like Shadow, he trotted back to the Spice Rack store to tell his 'rents about scouting.

@creampuff @ems @neko-chan And everyone else 😋Shadow spotted Cinnamon Dust writing down his name and she did too, with her own black pen. The scout standing next to the sign smiled and said, "I hope you can find the ponies. The last few scouting have not been very successful. Good luck then - it starts next week on Wednesday." Next week?! That was supposed to be the fixed date for her big candy sale. Spearmint grumbled. At least it would be for a good cause.

Memories flitted through her mind, torturing her as she went along her way towards the Everfree Forest. She saw another pony going that way as well, but didn't bother to greet her. /Nopony wants your greeting./ Her twisted thoughts jeered at her.

@ems Midnight Splash paused for a moment, thinking she heard the rustle of leaves somewhere off.. Nah, probably just a squirrel.. she continued on toward the forest, draggin her hooves.. then she paused again, the unmistakable sound of hoofsteps. Her eyes scanned teh area, until it fell on the silhouette of a pony. She quickly galloped over. "Hey there!"
