@sandstorm99--"Well I guess I've never noticed you then." Shadow commented, and mulled the mare's question over carefully. "Well... I live here... Alone." She muttered, ears drooping a bit. She didn't want to lie, but she didn't want to tell this mare her sob-story. Pity was one thing Shadow despised. She didn't want nopony's charity 'cuz she was all alone in the world. She wanted it because charity is the kind thing to do.

@ems Midnight Blaze perked her ears. "Is it fun? You know, with the forest and animals and everything?" She had a light bounce to her step. "It's way to noisy in Ponyville, I barely get a decent nights sleep!"

@sandstorm99--Shadow's brow furrowed at the mare's sudden bounce. "Well not really. The only animals are the timber wolves and cockatrices, you know, all those monsters. There's literally nothing out there." She replied, her eyes shifting a bit.

It was obvious she wasn't going to be making any more sales today. As she was getting ready to go home, she heard some ponies talking about some kind of scouting mission for the ponies that had gone missing. A scouting mission! That sounded exciting! Lightning was done with just running the stand. She was an adventure pony, and she needed an adventure! And what was a better adventure than a scouting mission? She pranced up to the pegasus who was signing ponies up and told him her name. He looked at her a little funny, probably because she looked so happy, but Lightning didn't care. She had forgotten all about Pepper, and the filly who he had fought with. She was beginning to formulate a plan to get Carrot Top to run the stand for a while when she saw a small sign next to the sign up sheet that read, 'SCOUTING MISSION FOR NEXT WEDNESDAY'. Next Wednesday?!?!?!?! That was nearly a week away!!! Lightning groaned, thinking of the long boring days of running the stand that awaited her.

@ems Midnight Splash let her trail tail behind her in dissapointment. "Oh.. I thought it'd be more fun..." Then she spotted a red bird bursting into flames. "Wow..." She trotted over to the tree, and a bird with red eyes and a flamig body looked at her. "COOL!"

@sandstorm99--/So persistent. Dear Celestia./ Shadow thought. She didn't look back at the mare, and said nothing much. "So. I'm assuming you're coming to my place." She said over her shoulder, "Unless you want me to leave you for the timber wolves, but I'm sure you don't want to be eaten alive."

@ems @sandstorm99 @sstwinz @sarahzafirah When would you like to 'fast-forward' to next week?His parents were worried about him of course, but when Cinnamon Dust had his mind on something you can bet he's dead set on it. They would start packing a few days before the event, but for now Cinnamon will help the Spice Rack as much as he can before that day and spend as much bonding time as possible..Because who knows if they'll ever see their son again?

@sarahzafirah@sstwinz@sandstorm99--Shadow rolled her eyes, finally coming up to her shack of a house. The little wooden home was very small, but Shadow still opened to door for the mare. "Right in here." She said quietly.

@sandstorm99 Gah. Shadow is unamused. XD--Shadow sighed. "Not really." She wished the mare would just calm down. Shadow plopped down on the floor. "Why are you so happy?" She wondered aloud. /Because she's not you. In fact, she shouldn't be happy, cuz she has to deal with you./ Shadow wanted to scream. It was just her against the world--and now she had to fight herself too! Her lip quavered, but she held it in.

@sandstorm99--"Everypony's nice?" Shadow laughed, ignoring the 'Ms. Grumpy Grump Pants' comment. "Oh boy, you really had me there. Everypony hates me, so I think you can understand my pain. That's why I live out here, you see. Sure, Ponyville can be fun, I guess. If I'm bored I can go there. But the fun doesn't stop the stares or jeering. It doesn't stop that mean old Pepper from being a butt." Shadow shrugged, trying to sound indifferent, though the fact that she thought all those things really made her sad.

@ems Midnight Splash was at a loss of words. "Nu uh! Ponies like you., just give them a chance!" She rolled her eyes. "Besides, Pepper's a pain sometimes, but everypony's nice ona good day! And and and.. If ponies stare, you could go up and talk to them and get to know them and HAVE FUN!!"

@sandstorm99 No idea dude. I think it was auto-correct + my failing typing skills. XDD--Shadow stared. "Lovely. And it's always my fault. What am I doing wrong?" She asked herself, feeling a burn in her eyes. She held the tears back again, and started to walk after the mare, knowing she'd go to Ponyville. "Stupid town. Stupid ponies. Stupid mom." Shadow muttered, continuing, "Stupid.... Stupid me!" She yelled, kicking a fallen branch as she walked, her mind torturing her further with memories and words she couldn't forget, until one thought rang through her clear as a bell. Tears streamed down the filly's face and she sat down. "Let the timber wolves have me." She whispered./I hate me./

At this point, she realized that she had literally nothing planned for the entire evening. She groaned. She remembered the gray stallion, Cinnamon Dust, inviting her to come over to the Spice Rack. She might as well, it wasn't as if she had anything else to do. She walked in and looked around. It seemed nice enough. She walked up to the counter, hoping to see Cinnamon Dust.

@ems Lol 😋@sstwinz Midnight Splash burst through her fashion shop, crying her horn off. "Sis?" Asked her little sister, Midnight bloom, "What's wrong?" "NOTHING!" SHe screamed, popping a balloon decorating their shop. THen she put her head down and with her sides heaving, thought about all her ever good memories that she ever had. Immediantly, she was cheered up. This always helped. Hey! If it helped her.. it could help Ms. Grumpy Hooves! She burst throgh the door back into the Everfree forest

A little filly too young to have this sort of pain. /Alone..../ The word whispered through her mind. "I'm messed up!" Shadow yelled, and cantered farther into the woods, quickly passing her house before tripping and falling.Falling was a lot like flying.But it hurt.

@sstwinzThe scent of spices was both heart-warming and exotic at the Spice Rack. The place looked rustic, old-fashioned even. There were jars, all sat in neat rows and columns on the shelves.A light-gray mare with dark russet mane, quite old but not an elderly yet, was seen trotting with a packet. Then she caught sight of the pegasus. "Mmm?" She placed the packet behind the counter, greeting Lightning Bolt with a smile. "Welcome to the Spice Rack! I'm Cardamom. How can I help you?" She started going on how cumin is great for this time of the year.Behind her, seemed to be a wrapping station in another room. Cinnamon Dust can be seen inside.

@sandstorm99--Shadow didn't reply, continuing to sob into her hooves. "I hate me. I hate me." She cried. Just as her mother wanted. "Why can't... Why can't I just die?" She whispered so only she could hear. Nopony liked her. So why couldn't Shadow just die?

@ems Midnight Splash finally found Shadow. "Hey! You were here! Not nowhere!" She tugged out her party box, and opened it. Out popped balloons and she started the music. Happy birthday to you.. "Oops!" Quickly, she shut it off. "But anyways, I. Brought some friends Dr along!" A few shy ponies stepped out, looking at Shadow curiously but friendly. Suddenly, party streamers and confetti blew out, and a random Apple. "So that's where it went!"
