Batpaw was being curious now. Why is Windleaf hanging around the medicine cat's den for so long? Was his mentor sick? Batpaw started getting worried. He padded toward her, unaware of how silent his pawsteps were as he approached behind him.

"Are you okay, Windleaf?" Batpaw mewed sincerely. "Are you feeling ill?"

Personality: (Warning: I don't always follow this. XD) Sweet and kind, very softspoken and shy. She's easily hurt and loves to play with other cats. She loves all of her friends.
Description: A light grey tortishell with one green eye and one blue eye. Pretty small frame, very elegant, long form. Short fur. Her pelt is very soft, and her wings are a pure white (fading from coat color to wing color). Her nose and paw pads are light pink.
Strengths: Kind, caring and understanding. She is also pretty good at hunting and flying.
Other: Stormpaw is one of her best friends.

Personality: Cold and hard, irritated easily. Stormpaw does what she wants; when she wants to do it. She could care less about what cats think of her, but she doesn't mind the hate she gets from the other apprentices. Her favorite thing to do is to fly fast and do lots of tricks.
Description: Dark grey tabby cat with startlingly bright geen eyes. Tall, skinny frame, sort fur, and ebony black wings (fading from coat color to wing color).
Strengths: Good at fighting, very skilled flyer.
Other: Songpaw is her only friend.

Starpelt looked after Windleaf a small twinge of sadness clawing her like an enemy. She shook it off turned to Goosepaw and asked her to fetch some holy from the normal world. "I will try to get some juniper near here." She called as she flew off.

Songpaw leapt onto Stormpaw. "Yay!" She shouted. "Why are you so happy?" Stormpaw chuckled, smiling. "Because we're going hunting together!" Songpaw squealed before bolting out of camp. "Beat you to cloud falls!" She called over her shoulder, and Stormpaw whisked past the medicine den, chasing her friend. "Oh no you won't!"

Stormpaw didn't hear Featherpelt's warning, but even if she had; she wouldn't have paid any attention. The apprentices raced past Snowdash and Dawnrise, laughing hysterically. Finally the reached cloud falls, right where the cloud cover ended, and let the cats gaze down at the surface. "I'm going to fly over there!" Stormpaw crowed, taking flight and edging towards the cliff. Songpaw's smile disintegrated. "Uh... Stormpaw, that's not a very good idea..." She warned, but Stormpaw laughed. "You've been listening to the Elders too much." She flew over the edge. "See?" She spun around, did flips and laughed. "Nothing bad."

"Stormpaw, that's a really bad idea!" Songpaw persisted. What if Stormpaw fell? Her friend continued to deny it, when a very fat Canadian goose flew by, smacking into the apprentice who faltered, dropping a good twenty feet. "Stormpaw!" Songpaw shrieked.

Starpelt who was heading down to collect herbs saw Songpaw start to fall. She quickly veered upward catching the apprentice by the scruff. She carried her up towards the top of the cloud cover. "Be more careful." She meowed.

Windleaf was too distracted to hear Songpaw' s shriek, he was stuck in his own cloudy head in his own little world, absentmindedly flying.

Dawnrise had just killed a fish with her paw when she heard the shriek. Without a second glance, she rushed over to the voice as fast as her feathery silver wings could take her. "Stormpaw"" She yelle

Shallowstar leapt up when he heard yowling. He flew quickly to the Cloud Falls in time to see Starpelt pulling Stormpaw back onto a cloud.

Dawnrise sighed in relief. "What's with cats these days?" Referring to how he fell over the side. Suddenly, she tripped offer a stick (Yup, In the sky) and fell over the edge of the cliff. "Mrrow!" She shook her fur as she flew back up, turning bright as a cherry

"I'm serious, Stormpaw!" Songpaw scowled. "You're like... My best friend! You gotta stop doing stupid things or you'll end up dead!" Songpaw stalked off, needing to blow off steam. Stormpaw frowned. "Eheh... Sorry guys." Stormpaw muttered, scampering away from the warriors.

"But..." Stormpaw looked up at Shallowstar. /No use in arguing... He's right./ Her ears drooped. "Yes Shallowstar." She mewed quietly, and stalked back towards camp.

Songpaw stamped her foot on the cloud. "Why do you have to be so dumb, Stormpaw?" She muttered to herself.

Stormpaw managed a smile at Windleaf's joke, but was still a bit disappointed. In camp for the rest of the day? Songpaw was going to hate her. Near-death experiences never went over well with her friend.

Stormpaw stopped, her ear twitching at a sound not too far off. She hid from Shallowstar and the other cats, as her curiosity got the best of her. She followed the noise.

Dawnrise whipped around. "Who's there?" Now the sound cam from all around her. "Oh nobody..." A sleek figure slipped out of the shadows. It was at least three times her size and clearly lean and ferocious. She couldn't see well because a dark cloak covered its body. "You'll never get me!" She hissed. "I'm afraid we already have." It's claws gleaned sharper than the moon, and it plunged deep into her neck. Dawnrise lay limp.

Stormpaw made it to the source, and saw a creature strike, possibly killing Dawnrise. She gasped. "No." She whispered, thinking she was hidden.
