Just wondering if I have any other book nerd people on this site. 😊 I've read over a hundred books so I'm sure I've heard or read some you have. A favorite of mine is the Mortal Intrumants, and Infernal Devices. Another all time favorite series is the Virals.

@klaenm

I'm definitely a book nerd. (=

I read so much when I was younger I can read at a speed of 1,200 words a minute. I go through a lot of books... XD

I currently need to find a new author or something to read. I've run out.

@april__

That is amazing. Lol. Not sure what I read. I go through books constantly. Then, I pout until I get a new one.

If you haven't read Mortal Instruments, or Infernal Devices. I highly recommend them. Great series. I was completely hooked.

@klaenm

I've heard of the first one, but not the second.

I actually just finished reading 'IT' by Stephen King. Always loved that book since I was younger. ❤️

@april__

The first and second go along together. The author has created 2 series so far that are connected. He's soon going to make a 3rd series connected to the Shadowhunters. Honestly, they are great books. The story is addicting.

I'm currently on The Host. Lol.

That's awesome.

I going to re-read the Dark Tower series by Stephen King but I do want something new. Perhaps I'll go look for something new on the weekend.

The Virals series doesn't really have to much romance. It's more mystery. It's very good.

I prefer to write instead of read, but there are a few good classics I've fallen for. c:

@klaenm

Is it more of a teen series or?

Cause despite my love for Harry Potter and a couple others, I'm trying to break away from teen novels.

@despotically

I love to write. ❤️ And read. Both are amazing. XD

I LOVE to read! When I was a kid, I always read teen books, and now, as a teen, I'm really only into adult books. (Other than HP and Hunger Games)

@april__

Kinda. It's about a group of 4 teens. Ages 14-16. I never would have thought I'd like it. But I did. I got addicted very easily, and had to find out what happened to them. They honestly are smarter than the average kid though. Plus they have dog DNA inserted in them due to an experiment gone wrong.

Looooove books at the moment! Whilst at school and college I didn't get lots of time to read but these last couple of years I've come to love reading again. 😃

And... Well, Goodreads is helping me keep track of what I'm reading and what I should pick next. Kinda addicted to that place, hehe. 😋

I'm such a nerd for books. ❤️ I'm always in trouble with teachers for reading when I'm not supposed to. XD Or my friends get mad because I'm more into my book than talking. They'll be all like; "HEY BRO! 8D" And I'll be like; "Shhhh! IM READING! D:" Then they'll get mad or confused and walk away. XD I finished a 300-paged book in three days awhile back... The Maze Runner. Oooh, I can't wait to start the next book... I think I've read 100 books or more. Hard to say, because I never keep track. But judging from my large bookshelf covered with read books... Yeah. 😋

Alright.

@elluwah

I'm over 100 books on there. That I've read. Lol. Love it. Plus it helps my friends/family find books I don't have. xD

@ems

My friends will start talking to me while I'm reading. I don't even realize they are talking half the time. O_O After I'm done. They go, "Did you hear us?" I sit there like O_o "You were talking to me?" xD I got over 40 books just for Christmas. I was so excited!

Really? That's awesome!

Which book are you currently on?

@ems

I have bookshelves, and bookshelves... XD All organized of course alphabetically by author, and ect. I'm such a loser. XD

@klaenm

I hate it when they do that! XD I go like, into a zone, and I can't hear anyone. My brain gets all fuzzy and like the only thing I can focus on is the book... I love the fuzzy brain thing. Makes me all warm. XD But I hate it when my friends do that! Can't they see you're OBVIOUSLY reading and not paying attention to them? It's irritating. XD And bothersome. Because they get mad when you don't listen, but it's their fault because they were trying to talk to you while you were READING! ;P I just bought five books yesterday... Went a little crazy. 40 books.. For Christmas?? Holy crap. O__O

Edit

@april__ My bookshelf is in complete disarray because I'm too lazy for organization. If you can't find it, well, you've probably read it, so no one cares! 😋 Not really. But I'm just so lazy. I applaud you organized people (and envy you) because you can actually find stuff. .3.

@april__ A Storm of Swords. I finished the first one last weekend and passed it on to my sister. I want to try and finish each book before I let her borrow them. 😊

The guys at my school do it too. They start saying my name a million times. Even hit me. Nothing works. Then if someone goes for my bookmarks. My arm shoots out, grabs them, and I don't even lose my place in the book. xD I was a very happy girl on Christmas. My stack just kept getting bigger and bigger. I was in heaven.

@orderedchaos

That's pretty awesome. ACOK was my favourite. Have you watched the TV series? I've been meaning to try, but I'm always reluctant to watch anything based off books.

@ems

I tend to re-read things. I re-read all the Harry Potter books yesterday and every time I read, I always find something that sort of surprises me? Well not surprises me, but a small detail I missed before. And I enjoy that. ❤️

I also have OCD, explains the organization on my book shelves.

Has anyone read Jodi Picoult? I've been reading a few of her books and while she's in no way my favourite, I find her work enjoyable. it could be the law aspect of it though...

@april__ I re-read sometimes... I don't do it often though, because I always know what happens, so I don't bother. I just skim the whole thing and I'm like; "Crap.... Really?" So I just read new stuff.

Wait.... The ENTIRE series?! D: That took me like... A few months to finish the FIRST time! Holy crap. OCD.. See, I'm lazy to a fault. I put off everything until the last minute. Like, a professional procrastinator. XD But I still get pretty sweet grades. But it totally stresses me out. XD

@klaenm You're... SUPER BOOK GIRL... Thing... It's so annoying. You should get a sign: "Let me Read In Peace. R.I.P."

Books are amazing! ❤️

My favorite book right now is probably The Fault in Our Stars by John Green or Fablehaven by Brandon Mull.

I do read about 1,200 words a minute. Which roughly translated to have 900 minutes for the whoel series, being about 15 hours. However, reading something a second time is generally quicker. So it took me less than that. I read too much. I used to get grounded from reading when I was little as punishment since nothign else worked. XD

@qwaszx

Ah, John Green is pretty fantastic. ❤️

Do any of you use a Kindle/e-reader? I LOVE owning physical books but my bookshelves got stuffed full and they're just so expensive! So my Kindle has become my life now. I've got like 500 books on there ready to read and it's made such a difference (for the better!). I used to hate the idea of owning an e-reader... but then I got one, and it was one of the best things I've ever bought.

@klaenm Same here! I've got a count of 128 read at the moment, but about half of them I've read within the last 12 months, haha. I love searching for new books almost as much as I love actually reading them!

I wouldn't go as far as Super Book Girl. xD Lol. I just can stand things a little more than some. I had a bookmark that said, "Go away. I'm reading." Best bookmark ever.

@elluwah

I have a Kindle! It's great. Except it makes WAY to many pages for the books. Lol. One of my books had 11,000 pages.... In reality it ended way before that. xD I'm over 100 so far. But that's not including every book I've read. Like my younger books I use to read. I can't remember that far back.

I'm glad I made this topic now. 😊 I have many book readers here discussing. xD
