Name: Joshua Viviani (He can be Italian sort of c: )
Gender: Male

Personality: Caution, this one has attitude. He just can't help himself sometimes. Attitude aside, he has an aptitude for science, especially physics. He came from a family with money, and though he didn't particularly fancy spending money on frivolous things, he spent plenty on education, being farther along in his studies than most people his age. The city he lived in at the time of the nuclear destruction quickly deteriorated and the population dwindled to far fewer than 100. As a result, he has the freedom to be the sole inhabitant of the resident university.... So he uses all the resources that survived there to learn. He's mature for his age, but his child-like curiosity can shine through easily when something piques his interest. This guy loves learning. And magic tricks. He loves magic tricks, and is definitely very good at them. He's pretty chill, even when he's being sassy. For his age, he's figured himself out pretty well, but in contrast isn't sure what to do with his education. He's also very interested in music (not surprisingly. XP)

Appearance: A little on the tall side, standing at 6'1". He has a relaxed demeanor about him most often, which is reflected in his posture, though he doesn't slouch often. He has very dark brown hair, you might even dare to call it black. He's got light brown eyes with dark flecks. Light skin, but you wouldn't call him pale because he looks like he gets some exposure to the sun, but not really tanned. Just a little colour. His outfits are miraculously not atrocious, quite slick, really. Though they look like he casually grabbed whatever. But when "whatever" is composed of only very nice clothes, it's hard to mess up terribly by throwing on a shirt, pants, and jacket.

@poe He should be a really good singer. I mean, he could use his powers to make sure he hits the right notes and stuff.

But anyway, the collapse happened when they were 14, and they're 17 now, and I the last thing that they are going to do is go to school. Therefore, I don't think being in college at 16 is very plausible.

I was thinking he was living in a university town. Like one of those places where the town is small and dominated by a university. The place would struggle to hold on to a semblance of normalcy and people would be trying to do normal things like study stuff. Because really, human beings fall prey to habit and tend towards a preference for structure and normalcy where possible.

But if that explanation REALLY doesn't work for you I can change it, no problem. : )

@poe I could accept that he's like, hoarding all the textbooks and reading them to continue learning because he's kind of insane or something similar to that. But I'm sorry, after four years without government or electricity, they would not still be having classes. In other words, that really doesn't work for me. 😋
