• • • About Vigil Eggs • • •
Those eggs start to appear mysteriously under Christmas Trees at the eve of Christmas.
Warm to the touch, those eggs are said to bring good luck to the ones who truly believe in the spirit of Christmas, while they bring misfortune to the ones who misbehave during its period.
Somewhat, their colour and consistence reminds of solid sugar, and the smell is similar to it as well.

• • • More About the Vigil • • •
Vigils are, indeed, strange creature.
When a Vigil hatch from its egg, its behave can drive crazy everyone, so only patient Arkians dare to approach them when they're still young. Young Vigils are, as a matter of fact, really stubborn and impatient, and for some strange reason they highly dislike other creatures' company. They're natural tricksters, and tend to make pranks to everyone.
Despite the fact their eggs appears during the Christmas period, those creature seems to not understand the Spirit of Christmas, and avoid getting near the festivity.
Their dislike grow stonger when they reach their second stage: for some reason, they think they're being pulled away by the others from the happy period, and their frustration always culminates in an attempt to "steal" everyone's Christmas gift to keep them all for themselves.
Strangely, in a way or another, all of them start to understand their errors, and start to like more Christmas. When this happen, they mutate into their last stage, and they become cheerful, selfless creature.
Of course, they always give back what they stolen, in the end!

Peculiar is the presence of a little orb on their forehead: the orb changes colour according to their emotions.
Usually, when they try to sabotate Christmas, the orb is black. When they realize something they did was wrong, the orb become a mixture of black and red. In last stage, the orb is totally red, and very warm.
Their nose, in all stage, is red. Many think the reason is because everyone, despite all, have a "good, warm part" inside themselves, even If they deny or don't show it.

Pfft of course, it's a grinch-like creature after all. 😋
I see many xmas creatures of eggcaves are related to, of course, the festivity. Like the bauble or the engel, they're inspired by traditional symbols of Christmas. But I think the story of the Grinch who tried to stole Christmas is a classic, so we can't miss it here on EggCave! 😋

Do you think it has a chance to become a CSP? I'd love to see it as a CSP, though ... but even If it was made as a common or cave monthly, I just hope it won't go unnoticed and that one day the Vigil will be made. 😊
