Rustfur

She blushed bright red(underneath her fur of course) when she learned Frecklestar heard her. "Um... thanks Frecklestar. I'll get started on that." Anything to redeem myself after that mishap, she thought. She scanned the cats for a warrior. "Hmm... Lilyfoot!" she cried over the crowd. She hurried over to her. "Would you like to go on a hunting patrol with me?"

Fawnstripe walked around camp, her mind had once again wondered elsewhere. She was daydreaming. She was still innocent, never seen the blood of battle and never fought for her life. Sure, as an apprentice and a kit she play fought but never for real. She was daydreaming about her first battle, what it'd be like.

She tried to pay attention, but her mind kept wondering back to the hunt from before. One hare and two mice! Not to shabby for a cat who just became a warrior. Of course Lilyfoot caught the mice but... I got the hare! That counts as something! Of course it was a little one...

I absolutely couldn't believe it. Had Frecklestar... just made me a Warrior? Already? I tried not to hyperventilate. This was scary, but I was also really happy. I bowed my head in great respect to Frecklestar.

When Frecklestar asked if Leopardfoot was mates with me yet, I was really really nervous. Now I was probably crimson red under my fur. I glanced at him, meowing, "Uh- w-would you like to be my mate?" And now I practically felt like running away from the embarrassment.
