I'm feeding big coves today! :D

DOING IT TODAY, FEB 1 2015 😃

Due to being a bit low on EC, I'm going on a mad feeding spree today XD (LAST ONE I DID: FEB 1, 2015). Post you cove down here (no matter how big or small it is) and I'll get to it eventually (can't promise to do them ALL on the same day if there are a lot of requests, but I'll sure try XD 😃. Everybody who posts and asks will be fed 😃, if not on my feeding-spree day, then just in the upcoming days XD).

The 188 pets in my cove would also really love a feed ❤️

Btw, I wanted to ask you all a question - when you find a big Cove, do you prefer to have a feed list somewhere so you can "skip immortals", or do you just like to feed the whole Cove? What are your preferences on that? I'm trying to adjust my Cove and/or lists to make it easier for people to feed what they like 😃.

Personally, I just like to feed the whole Cove. I open all the creatures in the leftmost column in new tabs, then I zoom through tabs with Alt+Tab and just click on the "Feed" button, and then zoom through all the tabs again while clicking the "Next Creature" button. This way, to have fed the whole Cove, I have to repeat that five times. If the Cove size iz around 300, I open every SECOND creature in the leftmost column, and I have to repeat it 10 times, etc. I've found that a Cove size of around 150 creatures gives me roughly the optimal number of around 30 tabs (the more tabs you have open, the slower they load, but you still want to make it time-efficient so you WANT to open as many tabs as you can without going too far to have it slow you down again XD).

I'd like to know about everybody's feeding habits 😃. What's your system, do you have a more efficient way than me?

You may feed my cove if you'd like. Feed list is all that really needs to be fed but you can do the rest if you feel like it.

Personally I don't mind feeding immortals. I like feeding whole coves, but it's good with a feedlist when you have less time. But in my own cove I feed all anyway.
I open 15 tabs at a time and use ctrl+w to close tabs as I go. I'm on a pc. My computer can handle opening quite a lot of tabs, but since I sometimes feed on yarolds simultaneously I like to keep it low.

Your way of feeding sounds good but sometimes people have a feed only tab - some users don't want their whole cove fed (a.k.a me XD)! But give the profile a quick read to see if they want people to feed their whole cove or just the feed here tab!

With my internet, I open 15 tabs, it's pretty quick and I barely have to wait until the first pages load. Otherwise I'm the same as laurel_wreath above!

Hmm, I keep hearing of Yarolds, as I understand it's some sort of click exchange? Does it work the same as ours or? I've never tried anything off EggCave myself (if you don't count EggCavern, which was basically the same as the click exchange we have here now 😃). Could you tell me more about Yarolds?

Btw, I kinda miss EggCavern XD... I don't have a place to try out travels on creatures anymore ☹️ (I know I can see what a travel look like on my creature without actually putting it on it through my inventory, but I'd like to see what it'll look like when the creature evolves, and about travels I don't have...) There isn't anything new like that, is there?

EDIT: @mastergemma, I know, I always do read about people's preferences, but I usually end up not feeding if they have an "Only feed these" list, because it's more of a hassle for me to "be careful" like that, haha XD. (but I'll feed it for anybody who posts here, though 😉 ). But I don't want to "mess up" anybody's creature, I know what it's like when you're saving up for a freeze or something... especially when you don't buy CaveCash yourself... I'm one of them XD

@mika_milile I never tried EggCavern, since I joined after it disappeared (I think), but I feel like I've visited some site that lets you try on travels, I can't remember where. XD I'll dig through my history and see if I find something. Or maybe someone else knows.

I'm decently new to Yarolds as well, but I've used other click-exchange sites before for other sites. The principle is the same for Yarolds as our CX, You click links and earn credits, but there's a lot more links and from a lot of different places. It works best with snaplinks and flashblock installed on your browser (or flash disabled). It might take some getting used to, but it's worth giving a try. 😊

I'll feed all of yours back when I get around to feeding later today. I'm surprised you did actually feed them all, I don't even feed all mine. 😋

On your question, I tend to feed people with a list. I don't want to get griped at for feeding something they are trying to freeze and I go too fast (and have no pictures) so I know I won't notice them even if I know they are there. If the user has a small cove (under 50) I'll sometimes feed all if I am not in a hurry.

I feed on a Firefox browser (although I normally use Chrome). I have Adblock, Flashblock, ImageBlock, and Snap Links Plus addons on Firefox so it makes it run faster. Since ImageBlock makes all pictures turn into little paper things, it makes all the creature links small and allows me to open 50 at a time. Then I hover my cursor over the feed button and Ctrl+W through them. It takes some time to load all of them though so I usually do something else on Chrome while I wait, doesn't take too long for me though.

I use slightly different method on Yarolds. I still use Firfox (with all the addons). I turn off my "care" and I open 250 links and wait for those to load. One they are done I move the main Yarolds tab to a new window and then close all the others at once using the exit at the top right. Once I'm done with all those links, I turn my "care" back on, open 250 links and then Ctrl+W through them feeding 'n such once they load.

As for me, my feeding preferences depend on whether I'm using my laptop or iPad and how fast the pages load. I tend to use Incognito Mode on my iPad, which won't let me upload multiple Egg Cave tabs without logging me out except when I'm on the Click Exchange. If I'm on my laptop, I prefer a feeding list since it's faster. Either way, I tend to skip immortals unless it's double/triple feed day or if they have interesting names/profiles.

Whenever I feed I ALWAYS look for a feed tab. My computer has a very slow satellite connection and I only get so man gigs a month to use. Although I'm good about feeding back, my computer hates it lol

And for the question, I used to feed the entire cove too but my computer got fryed from a power outage and now can only handle a couple of tabs at a time since the harddrive got replaced, so I only feed mortals. A feeding tab makes it easy to do that XD
