Potions Shop

After discussing this a little on the Thief Shop topic, I decided to make a topic for this.

So as most of you know, people often suggest having potions that level down creatures, revert them to a previous stage, etc. This is just a possibility that could happen in this suggestion.

There could be a shop, run by another suspicious character, who sells different experimental potions, such as "Experimental Super-hatch Serum" to hatch eggs faster seen from the Thief Shop or immortalizing potions. Even potions that stall stats for a limited amount of time. However, this guy is sketchy, and most of the time he sells fakes potions. Harmless potions, if you count your creatures changing images into Yeeps, or the image becoming upside down, or just being an empty bottle.

This idea runs on the same concept as the Thief Shop, but the potions will be even rarer, especially if stage lowering and level lowering potions are included.

I think this would be a good way to integrate those things into Eggcave without there being millions of Jester and Onny eggs.

Suggestions/Notes:

~negative effects of fake potions (Yeep images, etc) last for a limited amount of time, like a day or 2
~random potion with mystery effects; can last up to a month but you have choice to use or not use; risky, eh?

This would be a great idea as long as the negative effects weren't permanent. I'll let you know if I have any more suggestions. 😊

I think if some of those potions were to be made, they'd go in the Cash Park.
Like the de-evolve potion. That would be something that I think would end up in the Cash Park, because it'd be the same concept as the Freezing potion, just a little different.
I think the "faster evolving" potion, if ever made, would end up in the Cash Park, as well.
I think if any potions were made, they would end up in the Cash Park, because that's were potions already are.

Also the programing might be difficult for flipping the image upside down or changing them into Yeeps. I'm not sure since I'm not knowledgeable in programming, but I'm sure it wouldn't be -easy-. Plus it might result in bugs and problems, where they would stay like that, and people wouldn't like that, even if it was fixable.

I think if any more potions were made, they would go into the Cash Park with the other potions.

It's a -good idea- but maybe with different items/objects?
I can't see potions being sold anywhere outside of the Cash Park.

Also, is this suppose to be a suggestion? If yes, it's in the incorrect forum!

Why not have one mystery bottle and have the effect completely random?

And why not something like this:
"This effect can last up to one month but at the end you can choose to keep the effects or allow it to wear off"

Although I think the idea is cool, I wouldn't personally be interested in this. At least, not as an actual shop.

I would be more interested if this was a temporary April Fools event, type of thing.

@shelby I wouldn't do cash shop, since that is available much easier and other suggestions for devolving have been made for the CC shop and they were shot done almost immediately. I'm trying to make it harder to get, like the Oasis and it's endangered creatures.

They've done Yeep images before. Those ideas were just some random examples, nothing concrete.

Why not have the Thief Shop guy sell these items within eggs as well? He drives me insane already with the fake eggs and this would steam me wayy more

If it was shot down for the Cash Park, I can't imagine them implementing it in any form, then.
Temporary, joking images, I can see being done, but only around April Fool's.
As a daily thing, no.
Only because it wouldn't be something people would want to do daily. April Fool's, yeah.

But I still believe anything more than just a joking temporary potion, such as a fast evolving potion, devolving, etc, would be put into the Cash Park, IF ever made.
And even if it was a "temporary" effect, for the positive things such as fast evolving, devolving, etc, some people might not like it. People hold contests and such in order to evolve creatures faster, and that would get rid of that, which some people might get upset over.
If Devolving was implemented, people could just freeze their creature in that state, and it wouldn't be undone after the time period is up.

I dunno, if it was just a joke thing for April Fool's where images change, I can see it being done, anything else I can't see being made unless it goes into the Cash Park.

Too much complications onto the current system.
Would require a lot of time and effort to set up.
