White and Gold or Black and BLUE?

I need answers! Lol so me and my friends cannot come to an agreement with these colors and it's starting to freak me out. What colors do you guys see on this dress? I see white and gold.

Tilt screen and it'll change color. Mostly, I see gold.

The original color of the dress is black and blue,

I see gold/white but according to science it's blue/black. It's one of the few things that I don't agree with Science with.

To those who see the blue/black or white/gold. Don't worry you're not weird. It's a mind trick that I'm not going to attempt to explain because I don't fully understand it myself XD

So weird. I tried tilting my screen and everything, it's still the same. 80% of Tumblr think it's blue and black also, I just don't see where lol.

I see white and gold. I only see black and blue when it is on a different photo. I have tried tilting the screen back and moving around the room but it always looks the same to me.

I'm just taking the time to wonder how, with murders and the death of a much loved actor, this made the news tonight -.- All the girls at my school are obsessing over it, and I don't see why. It was awesome to find one in English who ignored the question of colour and just said 'it's an ugly dress' XD

It made the news? That's so sad. It's interesting but I definitely don't think it's news worthy lol. I didn't hear a lot of people talking about it in person, thankfully. It's just everywhere on social media.


I seen black and blue earlier, but it changed back. I think it has something to do with the lightning lol.

Saw it on Tumblr this morning. It's white and gold for me.

Seems only a few of the people I showed this to can see the white and gold, and everyone else sees black and blue.
My family thinks I'm colorblind too LOL helpme

The color of the dress is blue and black; this has been said many times.

Although, science says that the dress is technically- wait for it- blue and orange. o.e

I see blue and gold-brown, personally.

It has to do with the lighting and the way humans see colors. We are mainly used to seeing light colors; such as: yellow from the sun; so the dress changes colors--but it really doesn't change colors, does it? Nope~

....

Now can we please drop this topic? I don't understand why everyone cares... It's stupid and annoying :/

Guys, Settle down.... A family is having a fight about this right now xD

Anyway I see both colors. I stare at it to long it turns black blue and purple. NOW! The only reason why you guys are seeing different colors is because it is all over the internet and people having been taking it from one site and pulling it to another so it's been making the color fade back to gold and white. A scientist photoshopped it and it came out in 3 different versions a goldish whitish for the first
Second one was goldish whitish in a blue style looking like more of gold and white
3rd Just a darker gold and white
You also see it as gold and white because you realize how much light is coming in behind it? There is tons of light causing it to look like gold and white instead of blue and white but the answer is

I can't believe that people are still debating this...no one has mentioned this in nearly two weeks as far as my world is concerned- which is a pretty small world, but still.

I still see gold and white until I'm shown another image. The human mind is so strange when it comes to these thing...

Yeah, I see gold and white on the first one.

Alright, so I watched that part 3 times (& each time I started off at 1.10)XD The first time it started off blue and black and changed to gold and white at about 1.25. The 2nd time, it stayed blue and black the whole way through. The last time it started off gold and white and changed to blue and black at 1.35

@fakeworld the very first time i saw this image i said blue and brown. but yeah, i definitely can't see white and gold no matter what i do.

i've asked quite a few people and i've heard both responses. it's an interesting perception trick thing.

i've heard night owls tend to see blue and black more often. i kept thinking for a little that my monitor was messed up, but at this point i'm certain it's anything but white and gold.

I always see white and gold. It depends on what king of lighting your in. The sun or a lamp (light bulbs, the kind of lights that are in a house pretty much). But, the dress is really... blue and black. But, I can't see those colors. All I ever see is white and gold.
