Uh, so . . .
To be frank, I find kind of annoying how the Trade Center works: you put your lot up, and five minuter after, it drowned under and became invisible, thanks to others' lots and ad well transfer lots flooding the Trade Center.
I've been warned 'cause I kept cancelling and re-did my trade lots when they became invisible. I mean, what other option I had to promote my trade lots? -.-"
You'd say: make a topic in the forum. True that. And I alredy done that as well. But, of course, it didn't work out: the last post is always mine, and I can't double post . . . and it's annoying to log into your site just to bump it and ping other people who usually aren't interested anyways. That's because . . .

• Trade Center is, as the name says, for trades.
• There are more possibilities of a user searching trades directly in the Trade Center than in the forums. It's quicker.
• Sometimes, when you don't feel it or have the time, bumping and trying to keep active a topic is annoying. Truly annoying.

So, I though, wouldn't it be better If we had something like the Auctions' listing in the Trade Center as well? Multiple pages, featuring older lots as well.
So a user would be free to browse older lots, ignoring the [TNT] and [RES] ones that frequently make the trading ones drown.
That way, it wouldn't be necessary to cancel and re-make lots to feature them. People could browse and find your lots eventually.

You'd say that an user looking for a specific creature should just use the "Search Trade" feature. And I couterattack saying that not everyone who wants to trade is looking for something specific. There are users who like to browse looking just for anything that catch their eyes.

Lately I've realized that I'd like to search the TC by what people want for their lot. Let's say I want to trade Scorbis. There are probably some lots that are asking for it I just can see them if they're not recent.

Also the time difference is a problem with 15 newest trades. I see that I'm active when most people aren't on. My lot can sit in TC for hours and then disappears due to TNT's.

And I'd like to transfer creatures to side accounts easier. I try to move them as fast as possible, but when I merged my accounts I had 10+ lots XD I filled the TC and felt awful.

Ohh that would be nice. Like, If a person put up a lot, specifing she is mainly seeking a scorbis, you could navigate to find that person and her / his lot based of what she'd want. The you could be able to see what that person is offering for the creature she wants and you have. Neat.

Different timezones are a problem as well, yeah. When I log in, for me it's morning and for people in the US is night. Normal that If I put up my lots at that time, nobody would find them, 'cause most users are asleep. And I do get warned, of course, If I repost them later to promote them. Very fair. -.-

I move creatures from my storages very fast. But still yeah, I felt awful a few times as well. Like when I put three TNT lots, then my internet connession got problems and those lots had to stay for some hours up, until the connession got back to normal. It would be nice to have a more quick, and more neat way to transfter creatures on our sides as well.

I agree with you. I'd like a system like the one used in the auctions... U_U

But I would add the possibility of creating Transfer trades in a remote way, with an additional section in the trade center: so if a user is transferring creatures between coves, he/she can do it privately, or at least not in a so public way.
It can helps in not receiving unwelcome offers during the transfer.

Also, it would simplify the moderators work when there are users that create trades only to receive more views...

@wererage I love this idea! It would make trading so much easier! I like to go look through the trades but always find all of them are TNT or RES when I look and I find it so annoying. I would love to see more than the most recent trades because when I see one I like then leave the Trade center to see if I have anything to offer then go back and I can never find the trade and half the time I don't remember what was in the lot. It would be really helpful and beneficial to have it set up like the auctions.

Not quite Rage. I was thinking more like an option that you can set during the creation of the trade that makes it visible only for the staff and the chosen account...
Or the side accounts, if it can be created a link between those.

I'm not sure of the technic part but maybe like when you send an item:
you wrote the name of the side account during the creation so then you can offer only with it.
Something like this.

Obvious it's an idea. I'm not so knowledgeable about internet's links and the like 😸 so if it's not doable I understand.

But if something can be done, I would appreciate it.
I'm a little tired of saying that TNT stands for transfer or that even if it's a particularly rare creature is in that trade, no matter the offer you can come up to: transfer means that I'll keep it.

Personally I would like it if we have a separate "transfer center" that is only viewable to the person it's reserved too or your sides.

I like the idea that old lots show up too though like the auction center.

maybe it would be a help if creature and egg transfer (which are not for trade) could be transfered to another account with a different method and not via trade center.

Or maybe they could add a filter button so we can select all the tnt and reserved lots out and search for lots that we really want to find.

I'm one of those users who don't know what they want (I have a basic Wish list but my personal goals are changing all the time T-T) and just would love to check in case something catch my eyes *-* (I use the "Search Trade" feature but it takes a long time going one by one T-T)

I agree. If you want people to trade it should have multiple pages with more trades. Not just the 15 most recent trades. Sometimes people won't even see your trades.

@wererage The layout of the Trade Center has always annoyed me, as well. It's nice to see that others think the same way I do concerning it. This is a great idea that I'm sure would make many EggCave users happy and more likely to trade. And concerning the transfers, why would these be a big deal if the TC had the same layout as the Auctions? To me (I mean no offense to anyone) it seems like having a Transfer Center would just be more work for the EggCave team when we could just ignore them. I would assume users quickly transfer anyway, but I may be wrong.

Also to piggyback, I would like a search on EggCave where instead of searching for the name of the creature under Search [the regular one where you can search for users + forums too], you can just search for the breed + stage. I personally think it would be more effective if you want to ask if the creature is UFT or just to view it.

I totally agree with you on that idea and I feel the same frustration when trading. I've been trying to trade some creatures for a while but they get drowned out pretty fast. So I support this 100%.

I also made a suggestion to make trading easier in searching for creature listing comment text a while ago, since I felt that would be another great way for finding creatures uft, since sometimes I have a creature uft, so I wish I could search to see who is looking for what I have uft. Like if I had a tasma uft, I could search that specification in a text box for trading comments to see who might be looking for a tasma.

I cant agree with you more XD Its so annoying with time zones .-. No one is awake when I am xD lol so no one ever sees my lots, and when Im sleeping, there may be a lot with something off my wishlist that i could potentially get, but miss, because im sleeping XD and if I put something uft, its drowned it lots saying TNT or RES in mere minutes .-. ❤️ I support this idea! XD❤️

I totally support this idea. I'd love to be able to browse through trades as I browse through the creatures in the Auctions.
Also, as already suggested, on a similiar note; it would be nice to search for whoever is looking for a certain creature and what they are offering for it.


On a more technical note, it would be the easiest to add an invisiblity button to a trade (like, when you make a trade). This way the trade won't show up in the newest trade list, or in the search bar, but one you can go to through the trades of a person's cove (it's more indirect, and as the creator you can still go to the lot and paste the link to other users if it reserved, but otherwise it won't be visible).

This because it would be an added feature in an already exisiting program, instead of creating a whole new program for the trade center (I hope I can explain it I'm not good in explaining 😋), through I think Eggcave maybe should start to create a new trade center where things as your list, a transfer center or a searchbar for what people are looking for instead of only what people have uft, are included.


Then again, I'm not a programmer so maybe it's easier to add those things then I think it is 😃

I love your suggestion, too. 😊 To add to it, maybe there can be a check box when you make a trade where you can check reserved, TNT, or trade, and in the search feature, you can check hide TNT and reserved lots. 😊
