IC:

I jumped back in fright when a giant Krokorok jumped of of the shadows. I crouched on the ground, paralyzed with fear for a moment, watching the Pidgeot and Krokorok battle.

Regaining my composure, I leapt to my feet. Before I dared to think what I was doing, I rushed at the Krokorok full speed. As soon as I was close enough, I jumped gracefully in the air, bringing a dark wave of energy wave down with my fist. I aimed for a dark pulse to the skull, possibly knocking him out if I was lucky.

(I can't really do much with Angelica 'til she's either revived or wakes up.)

Andre got on all fours like a crocodile and scattered sand across the area. In the confusion, he jumped up and slammed to the ground, triggering a tremor across the battlefield. Bianca withstanded the shaking of the ground and used Ice Beam, freezing his leg in place before he could do any more damage.

Landing awkwardly on the ground, I turned my head when a loud crackling sound was heard behind. My eyes widened when I saw a jolt of electricity streaking straight at me and the Krokorok. That Pikachu apparently used a move.. The thought ran through my head as my body locked up in a paralysis. Feeling the wind around me, I was flung across the battlefield.

I collided painfully with the ground, a disgusting metallic taste in my mouth. My skin felt raw, and a burning smell filled the air. I shakily got to my feet, only to be thrown off again as the ground moved underneath me. I landed again with a thud on the hard concrete. Blood began to welt out of my only half healed wounds again.

Idiot! I screamed to myself in my head. The sharp jabs of pain running across my body made it hard to concentrate. I shut my eyes closed tightly. Why are you fighting anyway? You don't even know these Pokémon!

Opening my eyes agin, I painfully dragged myself upwards into a kneeling position. I sent a frightened glance bawkwards. I let out a sigh of relief when I saw that the Krokorok was trapped by ice on his leg, at least for the moment. I tried to get up again, but my legs felt like lead. I began to slowly drag myself away, every movement sending more hot spikes of pain through my whole body.

"O-ow! I'm fine!" Ace squawked, "BC, I don't need any help..." She said, trying to move her hardened wing.

The electricity dispersed as it hit Andre's body. As a Ground-type Pokemon, he wasn't effected, but he was still frozen in place. Andre let out a horrible, sad cry as he snapped at the air around him. His mind was telling him to stop attacking his friends, but his body was too badly mutated to listen to him.

Sounds dimly echoed in the background. Besides that, it was pretty silent. It was actually... kinda nice. A eerie, calm feeling overtook me. Strangely, this was the most peaceful I'd felt in a while. My mind wandered, thinking about things in the past. Walking in the park with my trainer. Battling for the first time.. losing devastatingly. When I first evolved from a Togepi into a Togetic. And.. Tiff. Her small egg clutched in my hands, shattering into a thousand rays of light and leaving a small, adorable Togepi behind. Me and Tiff getting icecream together. Soaring above a bright city at night, Tiff wrapped up in my arms.

Then.. the falling ashes. Tiff's tears. Tiff NEVER cries. The ground coming to life and swallowing my sister whole. A sensation of flying, but without any joy or happiness. Just a cold fear.

Everything came back at once. Emotions, noise, smells, touch. Everything was too loud, too intense, too painfully in touch for my raw, exposed body and mind. I felt as though my body would just explode from all the emotion and pain bubbling up inside. I flailed around, blood spraying from several wounds. My left arm hung limply at my side. Loud sounds of battle filled my hearing. A scream filed the air, so loud it began to hurt my eardrums. I realized with a jolt, I was the one screaming.

I sighed. Ace kept refusing my help, but apparently she couldn't move. I scanned the sky and ground desperately. Where were Angelica and the others?

Andre smelled the thick scent of Angelica's blood spraying through the air. The torn bandana around his neck ripped ever so slightly from his throat expanding and deflating, trying to pick up the scent. Once he determined who it was coming from, he smashed through the ice at his feet with alarming power and raced towards her with his jaws hungrily agape.

He slammed to a stop next to her, a voice in his mind screaming for him to stop what he was doing. He took a step back, realization jolting through his body.

N-no... he thought to himself, What am I doing!? I-I... I don't want to hurt anybody! Hot tears burned down his face as his mind fought against the severe mutations on his body.

When I witnessed Andre stumbling through the fog to seemingly locate something, I thought that it might be something alive. I silently followed him, trying to remember where Ace was as well. He was so mutated that he didn't notice me, and I gasped in horror as he lunged towards Angelica. He suddenly stopped. Was his mind clearing? I watched to see what he would do.

Andre shook his head angrily at himself. He closed his jaws hesitantly and turned away from her body.

In a barely distinguishable voice, he turned to everyone and said, "I'm sorry, amigos." His body was mutated horribly and seemed to be coming apart at the seams, but his voice was as sincere as it could get.

Tears streamed down my face. Where I felt my heart should be was a huge, gaping hole in my chest. All those emotions burning me from the inside out, ripping me apart, were gone. Leaving me with nothing left.

Hearing muffled footsteps, my head shot upwards. Dark shapes floated across my vision, but everything was strangely blurry. Despite that, the rough voice of that Krokorok I'd met earlier was unmistakable. I tried to make out his shape in front of me, but everything looked smudged together. I reached out blindly, fumbling around the air. I still couldn't see anything clearly.

"Andre..? Is that you?" I said, my voice a hoarse whisper. I crawled backwards. My last memory of seeing his deadly jaws lunging at me still fresh in my memory.

"Are you here to kill me?" I was shocked how calm my own voice sounded. I debated it in my mind what death would be like. If Andre didn't finish me off right now, I'd probably just die later. My whole body throbbed. I felt something wet beneath me. I shivered when I realized it was probably my own blood. I curled up and shut my eyes, even though I could barely see anything anyway. I hoped that death would be painless, and nothing like this torture being inflicted on me right now.

I couldn't believe it; Andre had regained consciousness! "Andre..." I sobbed. I turned to Angelica. "Angelica? ANGELICA!" I rummaged through my Bag. "Here's a Max Revive." I crammed it into her mouth. As for Andre... "Here, Andre. Can you see me? This's BC. C'mon, follow me if you can, we'll try to help you."

I spat out the thing BC had shoved in my mouth. "You tying to choke me?" I mumbled weakly. I picked it up with my good---or at least better, hand. I rolled it around in my palm, feeling the hard, pointy edges.

"Is this a trainer's item?" I squeaked. "How would you even use this? It's way to big for me to swallow!" I winced as hots waves of pain flowed through my body. A raging fire of pain was burning my inner core. Every second I could feel my life force just slipping away into oblivion. My limbs were getting weaker and heavier by the secound.

"S-sorry," I mumbled to Angelica. I picked up the Max Revive and slammed it on the ground. Its shell cracked and chemical goop tumbled out. "Dang." I gathered up the goop for future use - I didn't think Angelica would want to ingest it.

Ace had had enough of being useless. As a last resort, she squeezed the Pidgeotite around her right talon with all her might. A dim glow enveloped her body as she began to Mega Evolve.

Power surged through her veins, and the hardened part of her wing split off. In it's place, huge, elegant, mutation-free feathers fanned out from her wings. The plumage on her head elongated and blowed in the subtle wind. As the glow dissipated, her new and improved body came into view, emanating immense power and confidence. Shattered shards of her Pidgeotite littered the ground and sparkled in the fading light.

Bianca and Andre gasped at Ace's new form. She was even more radiant than ever before, and her wounds were seemingly healed. Bianca teared up seeing that Ace, the person that she had looked up to more than anyone, was going to be okay.

"My Pidgeotite... It's... Broken." Ace said forlornly, "This forme will be permanent, then. It's more powerful than my regular forme, but it probably won't last as long. The power will probably start to eat away at my being if I stay Mega-Evolved for too long."

I looked up. A faint glow of light could be seen in the corner of my vision. I blinked furiously, but everything remained blurry. I reached out blindly, fumbling around for Ace.

"Guys... I can't see anthing..." I squeaked. My hands suddenly hit something hard and sharp. I winced in pain and quickly retreated my hand as it cut my already battered palm open. I reached out again, more carefully this time, and gathered the shattered pieces of the Pidgeotite in a small pile.

"Maybe we can fix it?" I suggested, my voice completely devoid of any hope. I attempted to fit two pieces together. The shards made a small "tink" noise as they clanged together. I sighed in defeat and frustration when they didn't even come close to fitting together.

they all looked down at the horrible scene below them. they all looked at each other, worried.

jordan:

"jake, aussie, you two stay up here. we dont need more pokemon dying."

aussie:

"but i wanna help!" he said, with puppy eyes.

jordan looked away for a moment. puppy eyes were hard to say no to.

jordan:

"i seriously want you to be safe. death is a horrible thing."

shade turned into a hydreigon. jordan didnt hesitate to fly down and see what he could help with. it was hard to see through the fog, so he flapped his wings quickly to push some of the fog away. some of the fog cleared and jordan made out lots of silouettes, most of which withering or dying (or maybe both) on the ground. he felt extremly guilty.

shade flew down and landed softly. she looked up to see that aussie and jake were still there.

shade turned into a zorua again and forged through her bag, searching for a max revive. her paw ran into the deceased qwilfish that she killed, but it still had some of its poison. but she was lucky it wasnt alive, or the poison might have killed her. but it stabbed her in the paw and she slowly waved back and forth, looking at jordan desperatly.

this road turned into a death alley, and jordan was one of the few still standing. a horrible memory flooded his mind. he was the only one out of his 5 siblings to survive past the age of 12. he looked down at the ground. just then, most of the mutated part of his tail fell off and pain coursed throgh his tail. mutated or not, he picked up everyone who was on the ground. he flew up to the roof of the building where jake and aussie were anxiously waiting for shade and jordan's return. their expressions lightened when they came back, but then their eyes ewre wide when they saw almost all of their friends, wounded or dying.

jordan took everyone off his back. aussie and jake were dead silent, staring at everyone. shade fell over softly, unable to move. jordan took shade's bag and took out the qwilfish so he wouldnt stab himself and looked through her bag to find one max revive and one full revive. unfourtunatly, angelica wouldnt swallow a revive, so she was going to die. but almost all of his friends were dying. he had no idea who to give them too.

jordan:

"jake! do you have any revives?"

jake looked through his bag to find one full revive.

jake pulled it out.

jake:

"i have one full revive....but who do we give it too?"

jordan was silent. ace could probably do without one for now, since she was a mega. angelica was almost dead, so she couldnt use a max revive. aussie looked worried, very worried. he scanned the area around him slowly. the strong stench of death and blood filled the air. it made aussie nervous. he wasnt used to the smell of death. he looked at jordan with puppy eyes, wanting to heal each and every one of his friends.

Krynn woke up from a long hibernation (even though it is or not winter, she still slept a long time). Miraculously she lived without eating or anything.
She tried to follow the scent of the others she met so she won't have to be alone anymore. Krynn finally found them, but when she did it was a disaster happening here.
"W-what's happening?! Can I help in anyway though?!" She frantically freaked out.

"I can probably fly and go get one." she chirped, "Watch Angelica and Bianca for me."

She took flight and scanned the ruined city for a Pokemon Center. She had the eyes of a hawk, so she could see one even through the thick fog.
