A Change in the Chocotravaganza Idea

So I was thinking that maybe this year we could add some things to the Valentine's event that would start on Valentine's Day. Normally you find and give chocolates, but I've never been able to really participate because of not having a computer and also because i didn't have many people to exchange chocolates with. I'd send them out, but never received many, if any at all.

So this year maybe we could collect the chocolates to use ourselves (People keep the extra valentine's candy they don't give away right? lol) but only to a certain limit, or win them through games like at the Halloween fair. The chocolate trading could still be a thing you can do, but this time there would be more than one way to earn chocolates. Like, again, the Halloween fair, you could feed creatures and play games to win seeds, so there was more than one way to earn them, and it wasn't limited to one way.

It could be, this time, a Valentine's Day Festival instead of just the Chocotravaganza Exchange. The games would be like: A "cake walk" to win chocolates or themed Valentine's Day snacks, puzzles (crosswords, picture puzzles), a game like a scavenger hunt around the site (the first people to find all the items get a certain amount of chocolates and so on, or maybe have the event be similar to the Balrogipuwet event all those years ago lol), A name game where you check off creatures in your cove that you want to enter (min 20) and it goes like a multiple choice game, showing your creatures and four choices of what it's name is and when you get 5 wrong the game is over, and etc. I think it would be a fun addition ❤️

I agree c: For starters, while it's a great concept, last year was my first experience with it and I did not care for it .___. It's not that I don't like giving, cause I love giving, it's that it was new and no one really gave back what I gave and for people that can't really collect chocolates or be given chocolates, it's not an entirely productive way of collecting chocolate, at least in my experience. For two, I don't really have many people to send chocolates to, either, and didn't get anywhere close to the number I sent, so it'd be nice if there was another way to earn the chocolates. 😊

Very true. There are newer users and people that don't have many super close friends on this site to receive chocolates from, so other ways of getting chocolates would be helpful i thought.

@ami_utsukushii I like this idea, since I love the format of the Halloween fair. That being said, I've never been around to see a Chocotravaganza, so I'm not familiar with the format.

The Chocotravaganza is like....you go around feeding coves and you can get a box of chocolate for it. Like finding seeds while feeding during the Halloween Fair. The you send these boxes you find to other users and if they send you one back, you can use the box you were gifted towards prizes, travels, and creatures such as the Ami. The boxes of chocolate you find cant be used by you, only by the people you send them to

Love this idea. I really don't like feeding that much due to wanting to keep my computer fast with as least tabs open. So having something like that would be great!

But, the event is about giving, so we can find chocolates by being on the site or having evens like the Halloween fair, but then having to exchange those. It's primarily a giving event, so the giving aspect still has to be part of it I suppose..

With the giving part of it, I'm thinking that there could be another way worked into it next to keeping the exchange part. Maybe up the value of the chocolates that are exchanged? The ones you can win would be worth a little less than those that are given to you (except for the top winners in the scavenger hunt) or something like that.

I still think the Chocolate Exchange should be in, but I like the addition of extra events.

The idea of different chocolate value sounds interesting too 😱 I kind of want to collection chocolates 😋 Kind of like that one event where you have to collect a certain type of egg to complete your collection...but with chocolates...

And you can trade chocolates in the exchange...

hmmm...

i don't know. Either way, i like the idea of a crossword puzzle and things like that 😋

I like the idea to add games, but I'd like to keep the rest the same, I like that it forces people to interact with others a bit more. I don't know many people, but I managed to swap all mine through a thread on the forum for people with similar problems X)

I think different chocolate values would be a cool thing ❤️ with different looks, but when it comes to trading them in for prizes you can combine their worth for an egg or travel or whatever they have.

Yeah, keep the rest to not take away the main giving aspects of the holiday 😊 and a lot of people have been talking about how Egg Cave should have games, and after the Halloween Fair is over it goes back to really not having any for the rest of the year. I thought adding games here would make that a little better.

Love this and hope it is implemented 😊

Last year our internet was out for over 24 hours near the end of event. I felt bad due to running out of time to get more chocolates and return. So having other options to earn and not only via feeding would be great.

Yes for the add more appeal part. I only fed via click exchanges cause it helps get my creatures immortal. Feeding for chocolates is meh for me. Love playing games and mainly did that for seeds for the Halloween Fair.

Some creatures, like the Ami, Saurogapi, Ardeidor (look in the archives) and some travels and items. I wanted the event to have more ways to win chocolates so we can get those things. An Ami is on my wishlist 😋

Ugh! Yeah I know sending out 100 chocos or more isn't fun you spend more time sending then receiving. Somehow the receiving falls short of goals for anything you want from the shop. This event should be about the fun, not consuming your time by sending these chocos out on top of the feeds that you also need to do. I can't think of names off the top of my head for sending chocos I just randomly send them out.

Yeah this event should be like the others where you're having fun and can use the chocos on yourself a bit. For every 100 chocos you can have a bonus of 10+ plus chocos for yourself to spend something like that. Valentines is about recieving, but you also want to treat yourself to something right? LOL

I think the topic of games have been on the forum for quite some time maybe even years we don't know about LOL Since time is going by quickly I can recall this isn't the first time that games are mentioned it will definitely not be the last LOL Yes we are here for the games or this game with an exciting trivia quiz and guess the number of sandrodons.😊

Games would help a lot lol between stalking the Oasis and Thief Shop, looking through the auctions, answering trivia, guessing the number of Sandrodons, Alkub racing, and looking through the shops, there aren't many things to do. Like I can't find anything fun to do now besides be on the forums lol

@ami_utsukushii great idea i had a issue where i wasnt able to be on to feed much so i found it pretty stressful to send chocolate boxes back. i think chocolate boxes should be easier to find or maybe instead of having you just receive for others you could have one for yourself and one to send others.
