And she left the sentence hang in the air.She was moving to head back out when a lancing pain bit into the back of her skull. Letting out a hiss if pain she squeezed her eyes shut for a moment, bubbles of visions floating up behind her closed eye lids.

@niale @pitch1226 @thebrokenvibe @izziebee1017 Eveningmist padded over to Blazestar. "The patrol reports a calm pond nearby with prey," Eveningmist mewed.Moonsplash had soon gathered a large ball of moss. "Let's head back to camp." She picked the moss ball up under her chin.

@niale @pitch1226 @thebrokenvibe @izziebee1017 Moonsplash entered the camp. She glanced around. The queens and kits in the nursery also loved mossy nests. "If there's any moss left, then we can give it to the queens," She said. She padded to the elders den she saw it was empty and crept in. She separated the moss ball and lined the nests with new moss.

@emeraldfirefly@niale@thebrokenvibe@izziebee1017Tanglepath nodded. He separated his moss ball. He lined a few nests and found there was still some extra. Tanglepath carried it over to the Queen's den. Inside was Sandwing(made up 😊 same with the kits) with her kits, Dovekit and Pearlkit. Tentivly, he placed the rest of the moss in front of Sandwing. She nodded gratefully. Tanglepath turned and watched Moonsplash. He felt his paws become jello and shaky. His cheeks burned and he shifted around. "She IS very pretty." Tanglepath jumped. Sandwing walked up next to him. He blushed badly, "No, uh, I mean, yes she is, wait! um-" She smiled and laughed. "Don't worry, I wont tell anyone. You do make it obvious, though." Tanglepath still blushing, nodded a thanks.

Let's ask Eveningmist if we can go," Moonsplash padded to Eveningmist,"Could Tanglepath and I go on border patrol?""Sure," Eveningmist meowed in reply.Moonsplash padded back to Tanglepath,"Let's go!"Moonsplash exited the camp and padded towards the border. She could hear the river rushing.

@emeraldfireflyTanglepath ran after Moonsplash. He was excited to go on border patrol. Tanglepath followed Moonsplash out of camp. He heard the water rushing and became a little wary. "I don't like the sound of the water today. It sounds rougher than normal."

@pitch1226 "Neither do I. No intention of getting you in today!" Moonsplash replied. They trekked further but the river still rumbled. She could barely see the camp. The noise must have muddled her senses as she didn't notice until it was upon them. "FOX!" She shrieked. No one at the camp could hear them.

@emeraldfireflyTanglepath was glad he didn't have to worry about Moonsplash pushing him in. As they walked through the forest, something bothered him. Something wasn't right. He couldn't place his paw on it, the water ruining his train of thought. Stupid water. It hit him just as the fox jumped out. Tanglepath hissed at it, but it wasn't focused on him.

@pitch1226 The fox licked its jaws. Foxes tended not to want to eat cats but this one seemed desperate. That made it ten times more dangerous. It lunged at her sensing her weakened fighting strength. Ironically a fox had injured her. She backed away but it lunged. She turned tail and fled as it chased her. She could hear the water clearly right now.

@emeraldfireflyTanglepath noticed how the fox looked at Moonsplash. He hissed and tried to swat at it, missing. When it lunged, Tanglepath barreled into it. "Run, Moonsplash!" He wrestled with the fox, however, it slashed him on the flank. Yowling in pain, he pushed the fox off him. The fox recovered quickly, running after Moonsplash once more.

@pitch1226 She felt her her body burning in pain. She technically wasn't allowed to run but the fox didn't care. She was now parallel to the river that frothed and bubbled. She was WAY too close. The fox swatted at her and she slipped. It snapped it's jaws and she started to skid. She let out a scream. She fell into the water and was tugged under. The fox, disappointed it had lost a meal. Ran off. She gasped her lungs burning.

@emeraldfireflyTanglepath screamed, "MOONSPLASH!" He dove into the river without hesitation. His head went under, then bobbed up. Water splashed in his eyes, making it difficult to see. "Moonsplash! Where are you?!" The current pulled him under, and it gave him half a second to see an outline of a cat. He paddled as hard as he could, the rough rapids pushing and pulling. "I'm coming! Hold on!"

@pitch1226 Moonsplash couldn't hear a thing. Her pelt was thick with water and was yanking her down. She managed to get to the surface and gulp down a mouthful before the current dragged her under.

@emeraldfireflyTanglepath watched in horror as Moonsplash's head went under. Taking a quick breath, Tanglepath ducked his head under water. It was slightly less chaotic. He saw a shape that looked like a cat. Tanglepath slowly got closer. He tried to grab her, but missed. Trying a second time, Tanglepath was able to grab her by the scruff. He began to swim up. His head broke the surface and he tried to keep Moonsplash's head above the water. The tom was pushed under once again and resurfaced. He saw the shore. Almost there, he thought. Tanglepath's paws kicked around and were suddenly caught a rock for a moment. He used this second to push off and caught hold of the shore with his claws. He pushed Moonsplash up first and pulled himself next. Tanglepath panted and propped Moonsplash up. He put his ear up to her flank, listening for a heart beat. When he heard it, he sighed of relief. Tanglepath nosed her face. "Moonsplash? Are you awake?"

@pitch1226 Moonsplash's eyes opened slightly anded she practically coughed up a river," T-t... cough anglep-path? You... cough save-d me... W-where's... cough the... fox? Are... cough you... cough alright?" She coughed up more water.

@pitch1226 Her pelt shivered slightly. She purred slightly. A ray of sun reached down and warmed her pelt. "I might... cough be able to make it now," she mewed after a few minutes pasted. She tried to get to her feet.
