"What was up with Moonsplash?" Eveningmist wondered,"Maybe she just needs a good hunting expedition to snap her out of it."

Mosspelt stretched his legs and made his way to Eveningmist,"You seem distracted."

Eveningmist barely turned,"Would you mind taking Moonsplash out hunting?"

"Really? She just went," He replied.

Eveningmist shot him a look. "Okay okay!" Mosspelt wandered over to the warrior's den.

Tanglepath sat perfectly still, waiting for a fish to swim by. Finally, a small salmon swam by. Tanglepath swung his paw at it, losing his balance in the process, and landed in the stream. Crawling out, he shook his soaking fur. "Or maybe I wont have any luck."

Mosspelt thrust his head into the warrior's den,"Moonsplash let's go hunting!"

"Really?" She mewed. Maybe I'll meet Tangledpath again. No that's not what I should be thinking.

Mosspelt nodded and he and Moonsplash padded off into the rain.

"Fish don't care if it rains unlike cats,"Mosspelt said,"let's go fishing!"

Moonsplash nodded and kept towards the river.

Tanglepath attempted fishing three more time, landing in the river each time. He spotted a large salmon. "Ok, there is no way I can miss this one." Again, he landed in the river. "FOR THE LOVE OF STARCLAN!"

"Sounds like someone's already fishing," Mosspelt commented,"I don't think Eveningmist sent out any patrols."

"It sounds a bit like Tan... never mind," Moonsplash said. Mosspelt eyed Moonsplash.

As they approached the river's edge they heard a splash.

Tanglepath climbed out of the river. "That's it! I'm done fishing! I'm not hungry anyway!" He began licking off the rest of the water that was still on his fur.

Mosspelt burst out from the reeds surrounding the river and noticed a cat cleaning his fur off by the river.

"I don't know if this is a good ide...,"Moonsplash began as she followed Mosspelt through the reeds.

Tanglepath turned to see another cat. He stopped cleaning himself and turned toward him. He notice Moonsplash coming through the reeds. "Who are you?"

"I am Mosspelt," Mosspelt mewed," I'm afraid you're trespassing. Count yourself lucky Eveningmist isn't with us. I'm afraid she'd not have been so polite."

"Hi...," Moonsplash said,"Mosspelt's right, it's lucky Eveningmist isn't here..."

Tanglepath raised a furry eyebrow(do cats even have eyebrows? lol). "This Eveningmist sure sounds like a sourpuss. And as for fishing, you can have your dumb river. But who ever Eveningmist is, she doesn't scare me."

Mosspelt glanced over his shoulder,"Eveningmist is our deputy. We're just trying to keep you from being ripped into pieces by her."

Moonsplash shook her head sadly,"I don't know why she's so aggressive to outsiders." (To actually find out go to her form in the sign ups)

Mosspelt glanced over at Moonsplash. He remembered her training extraordinarily hard but that was it.

Blazestar simply nodded at the patrol's words. He walked over to the prey pile and sniffed at the rabbit, the wind having carried over a strange scent to him. He recoiled as he did so though, a familiar scent soaking into his senses.

"Eveningmist!" He called out looking for his deputy.

Moonsplash said,"Alright... just don't get on her bad side."
Moonsplash and Mosspelt walked towards camp.

Tanglepath followed them. As they continued to walk, he wondered if he made a mistake asking to she Eveningmist. He pushed the thought out of his head and held his head high.

Moonsplash and Mosspelt entered the camp. Mosspelt was suddenly wondering if he was the one who would be destroyed by Eveningmist for letting an outsider into camp.

"Moonsplash and I found it a bit into the forest," Eveningmist replied.

"How far into the forest?" he pushed. He needed to know if his sister had anything to do with their prey. If she had tainted it somehow.

Tanglepath's confidence fell with each step in the camp. He looked around at the other cats. Tanglepath took a deep breath and continued walking.

"I... I didn't see anything or hear anything but the rain masked most of the noises and washed away most of the scent," Eveningmist replied,"Is there something wrong with it?"

Moonsplash leaned back,"Yes, it appears she's talking with Blazestar, our leader."

"Yes, I believe it might have been tainted. In the thick of its fur this rabbit carries the scent of an all too familiar rogue and murder. We need to have it removed from the Clan, or at least inspected to ensure it hasn't been contaminated." Blazestar explained.

Eveningmist rolled the rabbit over and sniffed it. It didn't seem contaminated but one couldn't be too sure.

Mosspelt spoke up,"This is a loner, Tangledpath, he wishes to see Eveningmist."

Mosspelt knew that that may not be the best way to put it, but it was best not to lie to Blazestar.

Tanglepath wasn't sure if he should talk or not. He knew if he made the wrong move, he was dead. He wouldn't make it out of the camp alive.

Moonsplash leaned over to Tangledpath and whispered,"Don't talk until Blazestar or Eveningmist says something to you."

Eveningmist parted the rabbits fur to search for maggots and such. It seemed clean
