"Kinda yeah," Sunsetheart replied to Dawnpaw turning over. "Do you want to come with me to the pond? I can teach you how!" He smiled back. He was happy to finally find some other cat that is energetic too.
"Although if you don't mind getting wet. The river is still flooded a little so we can be at the pond."
He shook his fur to get some of the water out.

Shadepaw watched what was happening and she was excited too.

Blazestar nodded as Eveningmist approached. "Eveningmist you will oversee Shadepaw's training from this moment on. As well there is something else we must discuss. And I think it is best if we spoke as soon as possible."

Coyotepaw nodded. "I haven't had to visit them yet, thank StarClan, but it would be nice to meet them."


Dawnpaw grinned and bounced on her paws eagerly. "Sure! I suppose getting wet will take some time to get used to, but I'd love to try and swim!" She swished her tail before adding with a giggle. "The pond's fine, I wouldn't wanna get swept away by the river anyway."

"Ok then," Sunsetheart started off towards the pond. "Glad your excited!" He went off into the forest and towards the pond with Dawnpaw. He was hoping it won't rain again. They have too much water as it was.

"I think they're gathering herbs right now... You can meet them when they get back. Hmm... the elder's den is over there," Moonsplash pointed her tail and padded over to the elder's den.

Eveningmist dipped her head. "I'll do my best to train her. Now what would you like to discuss?" She was a bit nervous. This had to be serious whatever Blazestar wanted to talk about.

Dawnpaw bounded beside Sunsetheart, grinning all the while. "I've never been to the pond before," she admitted. "But it would be amazing to see it. Just thinking about how clean, clear and peaceful it looks is already taking my breath away!" she practically squealed.


Coyotepaw walked beside Moonsplash. "I remember being told about the elders," he remarked. "Treat them with the utmost respect and care for their needs as they provided for the Clan."

Duskfur watched Moonsplash and Coyotepaw, a young apprentice tour around the camp.

As Coyotepaw and Moonsplash walked near her den, Duskfur could pick up a little bit of their conversation.

"I remember being told about elders." Duskfur heard Coyotepaw say. "Treat them with the utmost respect and care for their needs as they provided for the Clan."

Duskfur purred. She was going to like this apprentice.


Amberflower awkwardly stood. She waited for Wolfwind, Nighttalon or Tanglepath to do something.

"We're here!" Sunsetheart meowed at Dawnpaw. He stepped cautiously into the water testing it out from the last time. "Come on you can try it! It's slippery though from the mud, so be careful!"

Shadepaw stood back afar knowing it must be something very important. She although pondered of what it was about .

Coyotepaw nodded, seeing Blazestar conversing with Eveningmist in hushed tones. Spotting Duskfur out of the corner of his eye, the young apprentice waved his tail in greeting.


Dawnpaw rushed forward, deaf to Sunsetheart's warning. She practically leaped into the pond. She turned, a large grin on her face and called. "Sunsetheart! Look at me! I'm -" she was cut short as she slipped on the mud by the shore and went under the surface. Dawnpaw popped back up a few moments later, covered in mud but giggling giddily.

Sunsetheart was laughing hard now.
"Are you ok?" he laughed trying to say the words right. He got into the water a little more to feel any movement of fishes. "So anyways, do you want me to teach you how to fish, swim, or both?" He flicked his tail in a happy way.

Coyotepaw shrugged. "I don't know," he said honestly. "I got my name, but it's only because I'm old enough to be an apprentice. Maybe... Soon?"


Dawnpaw nodded. "I'm okay!" she affirmed. "And yeah! I wanna learn both!" she dipped under the water again and resurfaced, effectively washing most of the mud from her fur.

Tanglepath walked into camp and felt like he could sleep for moons. Forcing his eyes to stay open, he padded over to the fresh kill pile and grabbed a vole. Tanglepath brought it to a small patch of sunlight and began to eat it.

I see you like the warmth too. You can always find comfort in the sun's rays

Yes, I love the sun. Along with lightning, though I'm not sure how I feel about that now.

"Well... err... I got distracted hunting," Nighttalon meowed. "Ok...," Mosspelt replied through the rabbit in his mouth. Mosspelt laid the rabbit down.

Nighttalon padded over to a corner of the camp and began to clean his fur.

"Would you like to meet Tanglepath?" Moonsplash meowed without waiting for an answer she introduced Coyotepaw to Tanglepath.

Tanglepath had just finished his bike when Moonsplash and Coyotepaw came over. He smiled and took note of the unfamiliar face.

"Hey, Moonsplash! Who's this? I don't think I've met you. I'm kinda new myself. Name's Tanglepath."

Coyotepaw smiled at the warrior. "Um... My name's Coyotepaw. I was just recently brought into the Clan and made an apprentice." He looked down almost shyly. "Though I don't have a mentor yet." he whispered more to himself than to the others.

Tanglepath nodded. He wasn't able to make out his last sentence but shrugged it off.
"Well I'm sure you'll like it here. I know I do. It was a drastic change, but everyone here is really nice!"

"Ok then, first is swimming," he said. "Don't paddle too aggressively, if you do it'll make you panick a little and wear you out quickly." Sunsetheart paddled into the water calmly and slowly, yet not too slow. "Don't do it too slow either or you'll drown. Just keep it in between; paddle like you're walking in slowly on land."
He showed Dawnpaw how and demonstrated it. "Do that so it won't scare off the fish or startle them."

"You're gonna love it here!" Moonsplash exclaimed excitedly. She suddenly noticed something. Tanglepath seemed... different... maybe singed? No couldn't be... she tried to look nonchalant but her eyes betrayed her.

Tanglepath nodded and glanced at Moonsplash and noticed her look. Quickly dropping his eyes, he cleared his throat.
"So, uh, I should get going. I'm heading off to go hunt... See ya!" Jumping up, he quickly walked out of camp, resisting the urge to look back.

Smooth Tanglepath, very smooth.

Moonsplash felt a bit hurt at Tanglepath's abrupt departure. She subconsciously wondered if he didn't like her... no she shouldn't be rash. H-he probably just needed to do something

Nighttalon noticed Moonsplash's slightly hurt look so he bounded after Tanglepath. "What did you say to her?" He meowed when he reached Tanglepath.

"She noticed." He muttered. "She noticed something different. Probably that I smell like smoke or my fur is singed. I just said I was going to go hunting. It really kills me to ditch her, Nighttalon, seriously. I don't know how long I can keep this spirit thing a secret. One wrong move, and I'm done for."
Tanglepath didn't realize how much he felt overwhelmed. His balance was slightly off and his paws shook a little.

Mosspelt saw Nighttalon follow Tanglepath. They're probably just hunting... although Nighttalon seemed... different... like he was hiding something...
