Tanglepath walked through the forest alone. His eyes were still wet from crying. He was walking away from his mother's death. "What's wrong? Why is there a kit like you walking all alone?" Tanglepath turned to see a cat that looked similar to him in a tree. The cat was more silvery though and his eyes were orange instead of blue. Plus he looked 6 moons older than him. "My-My mom was hit by a car." "Wait, is she silvery like me?" "Yeah." "... Tanglepath?" Tanglepath took a step back. "How do you know my name?" The cat came down from the tree and padded up to Tanglepath. "Wow, I heard mom had another litter. I'm your brother, *muffled sounds*." Tanglepath cocked his head. That seemed a little hard to say. "Pa... Pira..." Tanglepath struggled to say the name. The cat laughed. "Just call me Pap or Paps."

Tanglepath slowly woke up. Ugh, every time he had that dream, he couldn't remember his name. All he could remember was the word Pap.

Wolfwind nodded before she slipped back to the medicine den, she quickly started bundling up herbs. Wrapping up the herbs in leaf pouches as she stacked them by the den entrance.

Coyotepaw lounged easily inside his nest, sleepily dreaming about his sparring match with Shadepaw. He woke up to hear broken voices outside and the tom strained his ears to listen.

"- flood. - everyone out, -"

Flood? What? his mind was still to sleepy to process everything and his body felt heavy.



Dawnpaw twitched in her sleep, a happy grin on her face as she was deaf to her surroundings.

Tanglepath curled back up, deciding to remember the name later. He was tired and there was no point remembering when he could barely keep his eyes open. Tanglepath heard cats talking but blocked them out and dozed off.

Papyrus woke up to water. He opened his eyes and saw water all around. Letting out a small hiss, Papyrus headed toward higher ground.

Swanfur sat on her branch. It had been two days. That's what she had told Tanglepath after all. She just needed a loop hole, an opening where she could talk to him.

Eveingmist dipped her head. She raced across the camp and trust her muzzle into the elder's den. "Duskfur! Graypelt! We're evacuating the camp!"

Moonsplash opened her eyes and heard "evacuating... camp!" She poked Tanglepath. "Tanglepath we're evacuating the camp!" She meowed trying to remain calm.

Nighttalon was still sleeping relatively peacefully. Mosspelt stirred.

Tanglepath jerked awake. "What? Evacuating? Why? What's happened? What's going on?" Panic began to rise with in Tanglepath. He watched as Eveningmist raced to the elders.

"I think it's because the camp is about to flood," Moonsplash meowed.

By now Mosspelt and Nighttalon were awake. "Wait flood? Camp? Evacuate? What?" Nighttalon meowed.

"The camp is gonna flood," Moonsplash repeated.

Tanglepath moaned. "More water? Ugh." Then he remembered it had been two days since his little moonlight meet up. Tanglepath still didn't know if he was going to meet up with Swanfur or not, but most of him wanted to.

Moonsplash noticed a distracted look on Tanglepath's face. "What's going on Tanglepath? You seem a little distracted..."

Mosspelt slipped out the Warrior's den and thrust his nose into the apprentice's den. "Apprentices! Wake up, the camp is about to flood, so come and help the elders. Also help the Amberflower and Wolfwind gather up their herbs."

Tanglepath snapped out of his thoughts. He gave a shy smile. "Just not liking the idea of all that water." He stood up and walked to the entrance of the den. He turned around to look at Moonsplash. "We should probably help evacuate."

Moonsplash nodded. She raced out of the Warrior's Den and glanced around the camp. She raced towards the elders den and skidded to a stop next to Eveningmist. "We're here to help."

Tanglepath ran after Moonsplash. He stood next to her and looked at Eveningmist. Tanglepath wanted to talk to Eveningmist alone but this was obviously not the time. It would have to wait.

Eveningmist nodded tersely. She glanced around the camp. For some reason she thought she saw a siamese's pelt flash by... She must be still thinking about last night. After all there were no siamese cats in the camp.

Swanfur smiled to herself. From her branch, she could just barely make out Tanglepath, but it was him.

Tanglepath looked at Eveningmist. Was something wrong? "What can we do to help?"

" Try and help the elders," She meowed. She saw something in Tanglepath's eyes. Well if he wanted to talk then he could ask her to talk.

Tanglepath nodded. "I'll help you in a second Moonsplash. You go on ahead of me." He hoped he didn't come off as rude. Tanglepath tried to look relaxed and act like nothing was wrong.

Moonsplash cocked her head slightly. "Okay," she meowed. Moonsplash padded into the Elder's Den. "Graypelt, Duskfur, do you need any help?"

Tanglepath felt terrible inside. How could he be doing this to Moonsplash? I'm sorry, he thought. He looked around and made sure no one was listening. Then Tanglepath spoke quietly, "As you know, Swanfur said she would be back in two to three days time. I-I'm not sure what to do about it. If I'm out tonight, I wanted you to know so it doesn't seem like I'm going behind your back. I want to see if I can get any more information about the other cat. The one that is tricky or whatever. What's your opinion?"

Amberflower woke with a jolt as she felt Wolfwind rush out of the den. Soon, she came back, with Eveningmist not far behind. Wolfwind started packing up all the herbs in bundles.

The camp is flooding. You knew it was going to happen soon. Just help.

Amberflower began to help Wolfwind bundle the herbs in silence.


Duskfur replied to Eveningmist. "Yes, could you help me up?" Duskfur stretched her old joints and prepared herself for what she knew would be a long rest of the night.

Moonsplash padded in,"Here, lean on me." She padded closer so that Duskfur could lean on her.

"So you're expecting that I'll let you waltz off when we need EVERY warrior right now? We're going to need to find a new camp and I bet it'll take a while. Do you think that I can spare another cat who could help hunt and defend our Clan?" Eveningmist meowed at Tanglepath. She tried to sound authoritative, but her voice cracked slightly at the idea of loosing their home.

"Thank you." Duskfur muttered to Moonsplash as she stood and leaned on her. They slowly made their way towards the camp's entrance.

Tanglepath was a bit taken back. "Of course not! Evacuating is top priority! The clan's safety is what's most important!" Tanglepath shook his head. "Never mind. I'll figure it out later." He ran to go help Moonsplash with the elders. Perhaps it wasn't the best time to discuss the Swanfur problem. He ran up to Moonsplash and Duskfur. "Any one else need help?"

Eveningmist sighed slightly. It was a bit harsh to say that to him... she ought to apologize. She bounded to Tanglepath. "Sorry..." She murmured so quietly that only Tanglepath could hear. She padded away to find someone else to aid.

Tanglepath turned to Eveningmist to accept her apology, but she had already bounded off. He felt bad putting his problems on her, after all she must have her own. Everything will work out, he told himself, everything will be just fine.

Coyotepaw quickly jolted awake at Mosspelt's call. The brown tom instantly leaped to his paws and raced out of the den. He frantically looked around the camp for something he could assist with before he ran in the direction of the elders' den. "Anyone need assistance?" he called.


Dawnpaw groggily awoke from her slumber. Her muscles felt heavy from her swim and she desperately scrambled out of her nest. Crawling out of the den, she felt panic well up inside her as she watch everyone being to evacuate.

Mosspelt flicked his tail in the direction of the medicine cat den. "Try and help them gather up their herbs," He meowed to Coyotepaw.

Sunsetheart and Shadepaw rushed out of their dens alarmed by the call. They panicked of what to do first. Sunsetheart rushed to the Medicine Cat den he rushed there to collect the herbs as much as he could for later uses.

"Come on Dawnpaw, we have to help everyone out of here!" Shadepaw meowed loudly. She ran to the elder den and remembered about Graypelt.
"Is Graypelt here? Is he alright?" She asked them.

"Got it," Coyotepaw mewed. He then raced to the medicine den and thrust his head inside. "I can help pack up any herbs!" he called out.

Amberflower heard Coyotepaw and turned to him. "Come here, I'll show you how to make a bundle."

Amberflower instructed Coyotepaw. She showed him what herbs to put in bundles together, how to tie a bundle without damaging the herbs, and how to carry a bundle without biting into the leaf.

Coyotepaw learned quickly and soon he was packing up herbs just as fast as Wolfwind and Amberflower.



Duskfur and Moonsplash made it out of camp. "Where do we go now?" Duskfur grumbled.

Coyotepaw worked quickly, trying his best to make as many packets as possible in the short time they had. "Heh, being a medicine cat must be really hard." he mewed to both Amberflower and Wolfwind. "I've just gained tons more respect for you guys - having to remember all these hersb and all." He gave a somewhat crooked smile to try and diffuse the tense atmosphere.



Dawnpaw stumbled around camp, completely clueless as to what to do.
