Sign-ups here: </3The land was once bright and cheery, knowing no danger or war. One night without warning, monsters with eyes of bloodlust appeared out of the shadows, striking down all who came in their path. Thousands of unprepared from the former peace were killed brutally and wthout warning. The beasts could only live in the shadows, and when the small rays of the sun peeked over the horizon, the light shunning monsters fled back into the shadows to wait for the night to come again. What was left of the innocents hid behind locked doors each night, cowering in fear and depression from the evil of the darkness.~Half a century later, organizations of trained beast hunters popped up into popularity. One of the most skilled and famous, the Beast's Bane. Each night the hunters would hunt down monsters, risking their own lives for the alluring idea of peace---or in some other's cases---money. -Characters-@ushafuse - Kate: Female/21/Human@thebrokenvibe - Eon: Male/22/Human - Theisi Tolsaem: Male/Looks 21/Earth Fae@leafdapple769 - Aisha: Female/19/Elf - Gaiye: Female/19/Satyr@emeraldfirefly - Eldrias: Female/21/Elf - Meishra: Female/19/Half Elf-Half Vampire@bunnyshadow - Erebus Silvae: Male/Looks 19/Vampire@queens - Tanis: Female/20/Half Elf-Half human - Orok: Male/29/Orc@vanley - Helen "Crimson" Ginsberg: Female/Looks 19/Vampire@positivevibes - Logann: Female/19/Human@nightmaremoon12 - Callie Refos: Female/24/Human(Starting the RP)Time: September 21st, 2:00 PM (14:00)Weather: Cloudy and slightly damp.

@queens I assume the characters are already together, or are they going to go and meet now?
emeraldfirefly • 20 May 2016 at 10:15 AM
@queens @bunnyshadow @leafdapple769 @thebrokenvibe @ushafuseEldrias sat sharpening her arrows preparing for night that would come in several hours. It was always better to be prepared than to have the night creep up on you and pounce on you before you could. She ran a finger over the engravings on her bow.
queens • 20 May 2016 at 4:26 PM
@emeraldfirefly (3+ sentences please)@bunnyshadow@leafdapple769 (Yeah, they already should be together.) @thebrokenvibe @ushafuseTanis sat against a tree at the edge of the camp they had hastily set up in the morning. Most of the other hunters were sleeping, though a few seemed to be awoken by the oncoming night hours. A torn, moldy paper was clutched in her hands, the crude image of a scorpion-like monster drawn on it. She stared at the drawing with sagging eyelids, her head ducking down a bit.Tanis slowly stood up, her muscles feeling like jelly. She stretched into a crescent, her bones popping loudly. The half-elf tied the rat's nest she called hair into a knot. Hair ties this deep into the forest were a luxury that she didn't have.

@queens @emeraldfirefly @ushafuse @thebrokenvibe@leafdapple769~~~Erebus leaned against the trunk of an elderly tree, and he poked at the damp dirt with the tip of his booted feet. The shadow from the overhanging vines provided quiet a bit of comfort from what little sunlight managed to creep through the trees, and he picked at a loose thread on his sleeve. He ran a free hand through his hair, in an attempt to keep it from getting out of place. It was a cloudy day, and he was glad that sunlight faded quickly in and out of view. A loud clanking disturbed him from his revelations, and he glanced over just in time to see a familiar Orc drop a pile of wood onto the ground. Erebus scoffed at how bulky and noisy Orok was, but didn't say anything considering how he was actually doing helpful things. His gaze slid over to Tanis, and he rolled his eyes at the sight of her pulling her rats nest hair into a knot."That's putrefying." He muttered under his breath, not bothering to care if she had heard his words or not. Erebus pushed himself off the tree, and he smoothed out his clothing before speaking once again."I hunger." He said blankly. "It's been days since I've feasted on..." Erebus trailed off, before clearing his throat and rewording his statement."This forest holds little to no life other than beasts and animals." He said. "What I hunt for is not here." Erebus glanced around the clearing, almost daring someone to criticize his eating habits.
emeraldfirefly • 20 May 2016 at 7:51 PM
@queens {so sorry, I was in a hurry. That won't happen again} @bunnyshadow @leafdapple769 @thebrokenvibe @ushafuseEldrias glanced at Erebus then returned to her work. It was a mundane task but absolutely necessary. She ruefully thought about a time when she'd run out of time when the sun set and was left to use martial arts... she did a reasonable job until her scar flared up. She instinctively glanced at her hand. It's glove had slipped down, and she glanced at the scar. Sad memories flashed through her head; pained faces, falling walls, and mass destruction. She tugged her glove up and got back to work.

@emeraldfirefly @bunnyshadow @queensAisha yawned, her eyes fluttering open. The clouds above her knit a dense pattern, but every so often the clouds would move and she'd glimpse a ray of sunlight. "We might see a little rain today" she thought. From the damp smell in the air it seemed as if it had already been raining. She could hear her teammates mingling and working below her. Preparing for the trying evening ahead.A deep blush crept over her face. It had not occurred to her she might oversleep. Aisha sprung up from the branch, and nimbly jumped down through the branches of the tree she had rested in. She landed on the forest floor with a soft thud. Her bow and arrows were concealed in a little hollow in the tree, close to the branch were she had been sleeping. Close enough to seize in case of a ambush. You could never be too alert. Aisha leaned against her tree, feigning to silently count her arrows while observing the camp.
emeraldfirefly • 20 May 2016 at 11:46 PM
@queens @bunnyshadow @leafdapple769 @thebrokenvibe @ushafuseEldrias heard someone leap down from a tree. She scanned the camp without turning, quickly noting that Aisha was the only one not within her vision. "Alright, Aisha's up," she thought. She always felt as though Aisha was familiar somehow... but no use stressing over that right now. She glanced up at the sky, silently calculating how many hours remained before sundown. A wayward braid fell across her face. With a gentle blow she blew so that it fell to the side of her face. Sighing, Eldrias stuffed the stone she used to sharpen her arrows with in her pocket. Her bow would begin to glow when the sunset giving a clear indication of the stirring beasts of these parts.

@emeraldfirefly @leafdapple769 @bunnyshadow @queens @ushafuseEon, who up until recently had been silently observing the camp under the guise of sleep, sat up as he watched the sun be covered yet again by clouds. He glanced around, faking that he had just awoken before he laid a hand on his weapons, finding comfort in the fact they were still close by. He stood, stretching as his muscles screamed in protest after sitting down for the time he did.He walked over to where Orok sat preparing torches. He smiled at the orc as he reached him. "Greetings, do you need any assistance with the night-time preparations?"
ushafuse • 21 May 2016 at 6:31 AM
@thebrokenvibe @emeraldfirefly @leafdapple769 @bunnyshadow @queensKate, having woken up by the noise Orok had been making, stood sharpening her dagger by a tree. It was going to rain tonight, considering the damp air and clouds. She stared at the pile of wood Orok had gathered, the fire wouldn't be of a help if it rains tonight. It'll be pitch black, how could they continue with this night's hunt? She looked at her dagger, kept it and looked around, hoping to find something to eat.

@emeraldfirefly @bunnyshadow @leafdapple769 @thebrokenvibe @ushafuseTanis returned Erubus's comment with a cold glare, her hand rising subconsciously to her hair. This was one of the few times she wished that her elf heritage didn't give her enhanced hearing. She couldn't hear as well as a full blooded elf, but the vampire's words weren't exactly quiet. Let him starve, she thought with distaste, shifting her shortsword's sheath in a more comfortable position so it stopped digging into her leg.Tanis strolled off to the center of the camp, looking to do something useful. The half-elf glanced up at the clouds blanketing the sky, her eyes narrowing in worry.
emeraldfirefly • 21 May 2016 at 12:01 PM
@queens @bunnyshadow @leafdapple769 @thebrokenvibe @ushafuseEldrias stretched and a bit and scanned the outer edges of the camp, where the trees quickly grew thick. The beasts would be in there... somewhere. The Beast's Bane would get them... some how. She glanced at the sky where the clouds were spreading, quicker than water flows down hill. She wasn't someone to believe in luck, but still... they'd need some luck if it wasn't to rain.
leafdapple769 • 21 May 2016 at 5:18 PM
@queens @bunnyshadow @thebrokenvibe @ushafuseAisha slung her bow back over her shoulder, and arranged it comfortably on her back. She set out to find a rock to sharpen her arrows, even though they were already deadly. She strolled into the middle of camp and pushed aside a fern. Resting underneath was the sort of rock she needed.Aisha swiped it, walking back to her spot. As she sharpened her arrows she noticed more dark clouds rolling in. "Rain will make our hunt even more challenging." she thought. "I hope it's not a sizable storm."
bunnyshadow • 21 May 2016 at 5:33 PM
@queens @emeraldfirefly@leafdapple769@ushafuse @thebrokenvibe ~~~Erebus shouldered his flashy scythe. He took note of Aisha and the rest of the crew gradually stepping up to par as the dusk began to claw at the soon-darkening sky. "Hm..." He scoffed. "I hope so too. The rain only ruins my clothes." The vampire muttered as his lips tilted downwards into a tiny frown. He laughed."Are we hunting as a whole tonight or splitting up in pairs?"
leafdapple769 • 21 May 2016 at 9:53 PM
@bunnyshadow @emeraldfirefly @queens @thebrokenvibe "I say we split into pairs," Aisha offered.Finished with her arrows, she tucked her rock back into her pocket. Sheslowly stretched out her arms and then legs. Aisha walked a bit closer to the middle of camp, waiting for her other teammates' opinions. Her ear twitched as a deep rumbling sound reached it. Was that thunder?
emeraldfirefly • 21 May 2016 at 10:54 PM
@queens @bunnyshadow @leafdapple769 @thebrokenvibe @ushafuseEldrias stood and slung her quiver over her shoulder. She nearly flinched when she heard thunder. She scanned the horizon quickly analyzing it for any sign of a storm. She quickly found a thick patch of dark clouds. Hmm... there was a good chance that there would be enough rain to cause all the torches to be extinguished. She tried to reason out what would work out best."I agree," Eldrias said,"Although if it begins to rain hard then we ought to meet up again... especially if the torches are extinguished."
thebrokenvibe • 22 May 2016 at 12:33 AM
@emeraldfirefly @leafdapple769 @bunnyshadow @queens @ushafuse Eon finished up the torches he had been given to help prepare and stood up. He wandered over to where the others were discussing their later jobs."I think splitting off is a good idea. Although regrouping in the rain might be difficult." he stated, shrugging his shoulders and glancing over at the clouds.
ushafuse • 22 May 2016 at 5:08 AM
@thebrokenvibe @emeraldfirefly @leafdapple769 @bunnyshadow @queensKate walked to the campfire, crouched and stretched out her arms, warming herself up. The wind was getting too chilly and the clouds too dark. "We should meet up again once it gets hard to hunt." she suggested. "There's nothing much we can do this night, considering the weather."
queens • 22 May 2016 at 9:02 AM
@emeraldfirefly @bunnyshadow @leafdapple769 @thebrokenvibe @ushafuseTanis frowned, biting her lip. A harsh wind cut down through the camp, causing goosebumps to erupt on her skin. Tanis hugged her arms around herself, inching closer to the campfire. "We shouldn't split up, " she argured even though she was clearly outnumbered. "There's more safety in numbers, and the rains will make it even more dangerous."
bunnyshadow • 22 May 2016 at 3:41 PM
@queens @emeraldfirefly@leafdapple769@ushafuse @thebrokenvibe ~~~"We'll be fine." Erebus said in a sing song voice. "I'll take Kate and Eon." He said with a fully fanged smile. "Humans have terrible eyesight in the dark, if I'm not wrong. I'm sure I'll be able to help with that." The vampire said with a low chuckle. "If anything were to go wrong, I'll take care of eveerythingg." He motioned towards the others in the clearing."Aisha, Eldrias and Tanis can go as one. Birds of a feather, flock together." He muttered with a arched brow. Erebus turned to Orok. "The orc can stay here and watch camp. I'm sure no one will want to attempt anything once they catch sight of him here. Not only that, he's er..." He trailed off. "Much sturdier than the rest of us. For guard duties, that is."
emeraldfirefly • 22 May 2016 at 9:00 PM
@queens @bunnyshadow @leafdapple769 @thebrokenvibe @ushafuseEldrias restrained herself from giving Erebus a look. She good tell her bow was beginning to "come to life" as a slight warmth issued from it. The ancient symbols carved in it quickly began to glow slightly signaling it was ready to hunt. A quick glance over her shoulder assured her that her arrows were beginning to glow as well. The hunt was about to begin.

Helen sat against a tree, sharpening her wooden stakes with her machete. She stood up, straightening out her dark dress and running her fingers through her raven colored hair. She stared up at the sky to the tree limbs, looking at the sun that began to dim over the horizon. Helen closed her eyes as her face heated up slightly. She was going to stay behind, watching the camp. She was hungry, but she pushed the feeling away, she'd eat next time she left the camp. The 5"3' girl sighed and began walking around the camp, examining the borders. The last thing they needed was Beast's coming into their camp while the others where out. @emeraldfirefly @bunnyshadow @queens @ushafuse @thebrokenvibe @leafdapple769
leafdapple769 • 23 May 2016 at 8:12 PM
@emeraldfirefly @bunnyshadow @queens @ushafuse @thebrokenvibe "Okay!" Aisha chirped. Energy flowed through her limbs, almost liquid-like. She longed to use it, to put her energy to use. She could feel her senses heightening, her muscles preparing for exertion. Aisha was ready for the hunt. Her eyes briefly flickered over to Helen before drifting away to track a bird's path across the sky. She loathed to admit it, but Helen frightened her. Aisha had overheard horrible stories about her kind. At least she's not in the same group with me! she thought.
emeraldfirefly • 23 May 2016 at 9:42 PM
@queens @bunnyshadow @leafdapple769 @thebrokenvibe @vanley @ushafuseEldrias motioned with her hand. "We ought to get started now," she said. She noted Aisha's gaze at Helen. She could read some fear in her eyes. It was well founded though, after all vampires had a pretty dark heritage... this one in particular. Eldrias shook her head slightly to clear all these unwanted emotions from her head. No time for bias. She was on their side after all.
thebrokenvibe • 23 May 2016 at 10:46 PM
@emeraldfirefly @vanley @leafdapple769 @queens @bunnyshadowEon nodded at the others words. He glanced at the darkening sky before he picked up his twin swords. Gripping them tightly he walked over to his assigned group."Ready whenever you both are. Do we happen to know which side we're taking? Or is it just wherever?"

Logann sat on the green grass, gazing up at the gloomy sky. Heavy clouds covered the sky and she sighed. Cloudy and rainy days were not her thing exactly. She enjoyed the sun - it's warmth on her skin, how everything looked so bright and happy in its presence, and the way it shone. Logann pushed the thoughts away, reached in her pocket, and took out one of her knives. Out of boredom, she examined the sharp black object.

Helen stared at the area ahead of her, a rustling in the bushes could be heard, she quickly unsheathed the red machete that decorated her back. Though, to her surprise, the only thing that came from that bush was a long black snake with eyes that sparked like dark gems. Sher placed her machete back into its sheathe and picked up the snake, it surprisingly diameter make am attempt to attack or bite her. She walked farther into camp, it began to slither up her arm and tighten itself. She ran her finger over its back, the smooth scales tingling her skin. A small smirk stretched across her face when it came toward her neck, coming around her neck and tightening itself almost like a choker necklace. She didn't really need to breathe, it wasn't as much of a nessesity as it was for humans and other humanoid creatures.@positivevibes @thebrokenvibe @emeraldfirefly @leafdapple769 @bunnyshadow @queens

@emeraldfirefly @vanley @leafdapple769 @queens @bunnyshadow @thebrokenvibe @positivevibesKate took out her dagger, picked up the rock she left previously and started sharpening it for the last time. She could hear distant rumbling, thunder."I'm ready, each of us can go in different sides. It's going to rain pretty soon." she said. "And do Helen, Meishra and Logann go together?" she turned to see a snake trying to strangle Helen. She knew vampires didn't need to breathe, she had read it in books, but it looked terrifying for a human. She wasn't sure if she needed to do anything.
emeraldfirefly • 24 May 2016 at 10:06 AM
@queens @bunnyshadow @leafdapple769 @thebrokenvibe @vanley @ushafuse @positivevibes Meishra glanced at the vampire, Helen. So the snake was trying to strangle her... she knew that Helen would be fine, but she didn't exactly feel obliged to test herself. Having only partly vampire blood she wasn't entirely certain what would happen. She nervously glanced at the night sky. She wasn't afraid of beasts, but she was pretty sure that she might bite someone any second...Eldrias nodded,"That would make sense." She glanced at Helen and wasn't fazed by the snake... well not that much. She knew enough about vampires to know that they didn't need that much oxygen. Her bow had reached it's height of glowing, and she was completely ready to hunt.
leafdapple769 • 24 May 2016 at 8:59 PM
@emeraldfirefly @ushafuse @vanley @positivevibes @thebrokenvibe @queens Aisha only blinked in the direction of Helen as the snake started to strangle her. Despite her fear of the vampire, she was impressed with Helen's calmness toward the situation. Even in her position, knowing she was not in any immediate danger, Aisha was sure she would have panicked. Aisha calmly ran her hands through her hair, pulling it back from her head. In this way, she quickly braided it into two efficient braids going down her back. She glanced over at Tanis. "Are you ready?"
