"Girl from yesterday! Nice that you're able to join the expedition!" Lilith smiled.

"Yeah..." Cymoline muttered. They felt a bit blue that they were unable to join the Expedition. "Good luck, Lilith."

"Yo, Cymo," Lilith looked at them, "anything wrong?"

"N... No." They were refusing to tell the truth, as well as tell Lilith what's been going on.
"Nothing's... Wrong..."

Why are you... No! Get back! I thought we were friends!

Cymoline started to break down after the words rang in their ears.
"Nothing... heh... Is wrong."

You're worthless. Get out before I kill you.

"Cymoline," Lilith's voice turned direct. "You're acting unusual. Tell me what's going on!" She approached them, confused at their sudden breakdown.

"It's nothing...!" They snapped for a bit, before leaving quickly towards the exit. Tears were nearly flowing down their eyes, but they tried to prevent them from falling.

Eventually, Cymo found somebody with a robotic creature. Curious to know their intentions, they grabbed their phone and took a picture at a distance.
"This ought to be interesting... Maybe I can get a shot as the newswriter's photographer if I can..." They muttered with a smile, before sending it to the Facility Chat as usual.

I found something interesting.
They seem to have gotten some loot off of somebody, or some groups.
I'll find out what their intent is, but for now, I have to remain hidden.

Vanessa watched as the other person stormed off, tears nearly coming out of her eyes. She could tell that the person was almost going to cry, but was trying to keep it in.
Vanessa thought about asking, but she reminded herself what it meant to 'say the wrong thing and the wrong time'.

"Yeah, that's me!" Vanessa replied, trying to match the optimistic tone of the other's voice. "Um, I'm not sure what I'm supposed to be doing, well, at all, so do you mind recapping for me?"

There were a lot of people in the bustling main room, people she had never seen before, people that didn't roam where she belonged, in the vents and maintenance rooms.
It was pretty spectacular, the bright lights and shiny floor. At first she hadn't noticed, as she was so excited to join an 'expedition', but later she realised how incredible it was. It was also so high tech, unlike the rest of the bustling city centre.

Bryan leaned on the doorframe as she opened it, replying with an enthusiastic voice.

I have to find some way to get in there to get my stuff without her noticing. Bryan thought.

"Um, hi. Coffee, tea's in the kitchen. Help yourself. I just need to arrange this room up a bit. Let me just do that."
He let himself in, and went to the desk. He quickly gathered all his work and stuffed it in his bag, as fast as he could.

He returned and said: "I, um, have to go to work now, it's getting late..." And headed towards the door. "I'm so sorry for that, I just really need to head off now. Um, here's a spare key," He said, throwing the key to someone he met just the day before, "And feel free to go around the city. There's spare money on the jar in the table, but not that much. Once again, I apologise deeply. Tomorrow's Saturday, so I won't have work. But if I don't turn up tonight, it's because I have some, um, work to do, and may stay the night there. Any, questions?"

Persephone caught the keys clumsily as Bryan rushed out explanation of why he had to leave,

"Um yeah, I actually have one question, what is your job? I-if you don't mind me asking, that is. I saw some sort of reports on your desk last night, I couldn't read much of them though." Persephone chuckled a tad nervously.

'That wasn't very smooth…' Though Persephone to herself.

"Uh, if you're in too much of a hurry though you can tell me when you get back." Added Persephone hastily.

Ari, glanced around before knowing they had been spotted. They hastily grabbed their robotic friend and ran to the nearest shadow, slipping into it. They appeared somewhere else farther away. "This is not my day, is it," they muttered under their breath bumping into someone. They walked past the person not bothering to apologize.

"Hey," Isabella said as someone bumped into her. The person had already walked away muttering something untder their breath. She felt then a little confused before walking in the direction where she spotted the person. Curious that it was only a shadow, she began walking in that direction before spotting a bookstore. The person doesn't seem to like reading though she thought as ashe entered the place.

Bryan paused, a blank look on his face.
Drat. He thought, his brain in full speed thinking of what to say.
He glanced down at his watch, it was getting late.
But he had to tell the truth.

"I-", He started. "I'm a software engineer- a programmer. I work for a company called the Facility, that big building most of us work for in this city. What we do is- well, I mean I have no idea what everyone else is doing but they are making me design a tracker, for catching... well. Creatures. Like you."
Bryan shook his head and dropped his bag.
"I'm, i'm so sorry. I understand if you must leave. But just so you know, before this, I was told that 'mythical creatures' were bad and they came to kill us humans. I didn't know. And I can't drop out of my job now, or I'd have no money to live. And, well, they'd kill me off. I know too much."

Bryan looked side to side, but still happy that he got this off his chest.

"I would never turn you in."

He picked up his bag, and was out the door in a second. Before he left, however, he looked at her and waved a subtle goodbye, expecting her to leave right afterwards. He had only met her for a short while, but he could tell he would miss her.

Persephone listened to Bryan's explanation and saw him give her a small wave of goodbye before he left, she knew that the smart thing to do would be to leave and never look back, but… she couldn't do it.

Even after Bryan had told her this she still trusted him, her being so trusting towards humans had gotten Persephone into trouble in the past, but when he told her that he wouldn't turn her in, she still believed him. Persephone sighed,

"I believe you, I shouldn't, but I do." Muttered Persephone to herself now that she was alone.

Cymoline sighed as the figure slunk into the shadows. They walked towards the Facility before seeing somebody heading to the same building as them.
"Expedition, isn't it?" They muttered.

Yanoko looked out the window where a young dryad was standing in a room. Confused to as why they're still there, they phased through the window, a shocked look on their face.
"Why are you still standing? I'm surprised that someone like you isn't going after them. We're both myths, are we not? They're human, and your a myth; different species. You need the real answers."

Lilith waved as Bryan entered the Facility.
"Excited for the expedition?" The girl asked. She was excited to go to the outside word again. Last time she went there, she discovered small towns, a bunch of forests, and hollowed out trees. "The last thing we explored was a tiny village, but we never got the chance to know what's in there! Today, we're going to explore more, more before the day is up!"

Vanessa looked at the guy who had just walked in. Lilith had just waved to him, and she just smiled in acknowledgement. She still wasn't sure what was going on.

Bryan couldn't help but feel guilty about everything that had just happened back at the apartment. The first thing he wanted to do was to tell someone, but he knew he couldn't, or else there would be bad consequences. When he walked into the Facility, he waved back at the distant figure of Lilith, and smiled back at the other unfamiliar girl next to her.
No matter how hard he tried, he couldn't stop thinking about Persephone.

"I guess I am!" Bryan replied to Lilith, but truly he wasn't. He didn't like how they were interfering with the myths.

"Hey." Said Vanessa, brushing her hair to one side. "Vanessa, but call me V."
"Um, hi," Bryan replied, smiling an evidently fake smile. "I'm Bryan."
There was an awkward silence between them, so Bryan filled in.
"I'm a software engineer. I do the tech-y stuff. You?"
"Cool." Vanessa paused. "I'm an engineer too, but more, the physical stuff, like fixing machines..." Though she didn't express it well, she was excited to meet someone who was also a, well senior, engineer.

Vanessa looked at Lilith, waiting for her to say something and save her from the small talk she so dreaded.

"So, Lilith. When are we leaving, for the Expedition? And also I have the tracker, finished. Are we... putting that into action this time, or should I just find Kane and work on it back here..?"

New character just coming in, known as fire$natch that I mentioned in the first post I ever did; Bryan's tech friend, that works on the tracker with him, but hates it.

Appearance: Black spiky hair, blue sparkling eyes, thin lips, long face, always seems to wear sunglasses ; indoors, outdoors. A bit overweight.
Clothing: Black sweatshirt, with hoody. Grey sweatpants, that look very pajama-y. Sneakers that are clearly worn out.
Weapons/Abilities: Human computer, much like Bryan.
Weaknesses: Arrogant so can be overconfident and yes, cannot fight physically.
Personality: Obnoxious, arrogant, sarcastic and smart. That about sums up his whole personality.

Savannah stood up. "Zia stay here." She instructed, hearing voices in the building beside them. "I'm going to see who's here, we may have to leave."

Savannah walked inside the building (The facility) and called out. "Hello?" they asked, their voice soft and sweet, trying to avoid any danger. "Is anyone in here?"

Persephone let out a small squeak of surprise when a fellow myth with silver hair phased through the window and began speaking to her,

"W-what do you mean? Of course I'm still here, I-I don't care if he's human, he's still my friend, I'm not going to turn my back on him because of his job. H-he was taught since birth to fear myths, i-it's not his fault. Plus, he said they would kill him if he quit now." Said Persephone, cursing herself everytime she stuttered. She then also added hastily and more quitely,

"Also, i-it's rude to eavesdrop on other people's conversations…"

Isabella took a few books and paid for it. She kept reading till she saw a figure alking towards a building. She cautiously walked towards the figure that was left alone, hoping that they aren't humans or she's in trouble. When the figure entered, she looked around and spotted a figure trying to stay hidden. "Hello," she said but it turned out to be more of a question.

"Sure! We need that tracker if we're going to find more myths! Actually..." Lilith paused for a moment. "I found a myth last night. They seemed half-human, but they looked like they worked for the myths. Facility's been working on Digit's new self for quite a while, and [the myth] wanted to find her again."

Yanoko rolled their eyes.
"Listen, do you want the truth or not? This city isn't fit for myths like us. We need to take over the last remaining human cities, including this one. I heard the humans are going to be exploring the outside, which gives us a perfect chance to ambush them and attack!"
They then started to go towards the window again. "It's your choice, myth. Your choice..." Yanoko then phased through it, before coming invisible.

Heading to the outside world, they grimaced.
"Eventually this city is going to fall, and the humans are going to have to obey us."

Cymoline looked at the person entering the Facility.
"It's not worth it. The expedition is here, and just standing there won't cut it. If you're going to find a secluded area, go to the outside world. Nobody is there and no myth will help you." They pointed towards the nearest road towards the barrier. "It's pointless trying to get people to leave."

Bryan nodded his head. There had been more and more sightings these past few days.

~~Kane~~
Kane frowned at the busy meeting room of the Facility. It was always like this before expeditions, filled with a bunch of clueless naïve people that thought they could enter the myths' territory without it ending badly.

He saw Lilith at the edge of the room, with Bryan (homie) and a new girl, that he sometimes saw inside the vents. Long story.
He walked over there, and barged in despite Bryan talking.

"Hellll-o!" Kane exclaimed, crashing his big hand upon his friend's back. He nodded at Lilith, and looked at the girl.
"And who are... you?" Kane asked.
"Vanessa." She replied.
"Hello, Vanessa. Are you joining us on this fine expedition?"
Bryan cut in. "No, actually, we're staying here, to work on the tracker."
Kane raised his eyebrows, surprised. "Why..?"
"Because we're not done with it yet."
"Come on man, that tracker is hopeless. We might as well give up. If they're really that magical they'll find a way to surpass technology. And I'm a programmer, so I'm really saying something here."
He watched the blank expressions.
"They're superior to us." Kane continued.
"But Kane, we really have to. Lilith said so." Bryan argued.
Kane looked at Lilith. Lilith was a smart one. But she just was too full of hope. She was probably the smartest here, but still one of the youngest. That had its disadvantages.
"Okay. Okay. We'll stay here," Kane said. "Speaking of the expedition, where's Cymoline?" He directed the question towards Lilith.

Honestly, V expected this expedition to be more, physical. So far she was just meeting new people. She knew she had to, but it didn't stop her from hating it.

Cymoline then started to text the Facility's chat room.

Lilith heard her phone ping multiple times.
"Ah, the Facility's chat. Something I've heard for a long time. Hang on."

In a few minutes. We're heading to the main gates.

Lilith grinned at Kane and Bryan.
"We're leaving at the main gates as usual. North of the city as usual."

Peeking at the Facility's main door, they looked at Lilith and co. talking with her friends.
"I'll see you soon..." They then headed slowly to the main gates, examining the guards and seeing how colossal in size it was.
"As usual, this gate prevented me from leaving." They sighed, and waited for the group to suddenly appear.

Vanessa followed quietly behind, walking in a lumbering manner.
Soon the group was in front of a huge gate, that was large and somewhat intimidating. Vanessa couldn't help but grin. She was finally going to do something that was important. It felt good.

As they stopped in front of the gate, Kane faced Lilith and asked, "And what was this mysterious thing that happened 5 years ago..?"
Usually Cymoline was involved in important situations like this. It was strange they didn't come this time.

"At a certain age, people who are talented or have useful powers to help the Facility get tested. Once they succeed, they hold a higher ranking than the normal citizens. Kind of like an officer for the city." Lilith continued. "Cymoline was one of them. They had a test, but they said that once they did the first attack on the dummy enemies, visions haunted them, fainting them in the process."
She sighed, before continuing. "Those continued for a few days, which eventually shattered Cymo. They decided to give it up, and they were never tested ever again. Although I pleaded the officials to make them an officer, and despite the fact they did, Cymoline still remained apathetic. They also requested to not go in the expeditions that will come towards, although I heard that they wanted to be a photographer for the Facility months ago. I wonder if they still have that ambition."

Lilith examined the area. There were some people cheering for the expedition group, as a part of the EMP barrier making the gates up were disabled, which allowed the group to leave the place.
"After you all," she said to the ones older than her.

Cymoline hid in the shadows, although they waved a small farewell to the group, especially Lilith. Their only friend is leaving for the entire week, and it was insane. They're going to be left alone for those weeks, and they have nobody else to talk to.

Bryan frowned at this sad story he had heard before. These things always seemed to happen at the Facility. It was so high tech, so many crazy inhumane experiments occurred there. He'd seen so many people leave, scarred for life.
Bryan was a normal human, he still was, and therefore his entrance was just a simple test. He was thankful for this.

Vanessa was disgusted by the story Lilith had just told. Did she really work for a place so corrupted- so harmful? She didn't want to think about it, and almost felt sorry for Cymoline.

Kane raised an eyebrow. It wasn't surprising that something like this happened here.

Kane answered to Lilith's kindness by going first, even if he wasn't older than her, or higher above- at all. He dragged Bryan along as well, despite the awkward expression that was on Bryan's face. Vanessa trotted behind them, and looked behind for Lilith to follow.

Persephone grimace with a feeling of uneasiness after hearing the other myth say that the city wasn't fit for myths like them.

'Is war really the only option?' Persephone thought despairingly to herself as she silently watched the other myth phase through the window once again, leaving Persephone alone once more.

Persephone let out a heavy sigh and tried to push back her worries for Bryan, knowing that myths like that awaited him outside, and instead tried to think of ways to cheer herself up. She wanted to go back to the forest, if only for a moment, just to get some fresh air.

Even though Persephone was planning to return to Bryan's apartment the air in the human city way polluted and not what she preferred to breath 24/7. However it was risky to try to go back to the forest and sneak back into the city in the same day, especially since if what the other myth had said was true, hostile humans would be out there and nearby the outside of the city, and even if Bryan was there he would only be able to do so much.

Persephone was reckless at times but she wasn't stupid. Leaving now would be a bad idea.

Persephone sighed in disappointment and wandered over to the tea Bryan had left, which was a tad cold by now, but she drank it anyway, after adding a lot of sugar, of course.

Once Persephone was done drinking her tea she exited the apartment, making sure to lock the door on her way out and made her way out of the apartment building looking around the city, wondering what she could do while Bryan was gone.

Ruby woke up and rubbed her eyes, grumbling about how she forgot to set her alarm last night. Ruby got out of bed and got ready to go job hunting again, she had heard The Facility was always looking for people with special abilities like her's.

Ruby tried to stay out of that type of stuff but she need money, and if they were willing to pay her she would probably end up taking it. Ruby sighed and exited her apartment before letting her wings escape from the confines of her body and giving them a good stretch before she took off, heading for The Facility.

Kane looked out at the vast amount of trees before him. They soared up towards the sky, and each one seemed taller than the last. There were a few guards, but they mostly walked out a certain distance, then gave Kane and the others devices so they could communicate in case of emergencies.

Vanessa had to admit this was sort of exciting. Her tool kit was strapped tightly against her back, filled with wrenches and such. Vanessa saw that Bryan had the same, a bag filled with tech devices. Soon it was just Lilith, Bryan, Kane and her, walking forward.

"What exactly are we looking for?" Vanessa asked.
"Myths." Kane replied.
"What?"
"Myths."
Vanessa frowned, laughing. "Surely not myths. They don't exist."
Kane laughed, and looked at Bryan. Even shy, non-judgemental Bryan had an expression on his face.
"Myths are nonetheless, real. We are here to, well, see what they're doing so close to our city." Bryan stated.
"They're planning to attack." Kane cut in.
Bryan shot Kane a dirty look, but it was obvious he was thinking the same.

Myths exist. Lilith had saw one last night. More specifically, a half-myth. She knew that the myths were coming for them, and the citizens needed to fight back.
"I have this unusual feeling that something is off." She said. "The air feels colder than usual." The wind started to blow really hard on her.

Eventually she looked up, seeing a large billow of dark clouds ahead. Her electricity powers were reacting, causing sparks of move around her arms.
"Electricity is nearby. I often forget I have these powers. We should be careful, especially when those clouds are rolling in our area."

Cymoline looked at the sky. It was close to raining. They could feel a drizzle of water fall down their face.
"I hope the group is okay..." They hoped. Lilith's electricity should be helping, even though she forgets about them.

"We need to find a nearby village. The one we explored a year ago is nearby. It's still there, but due to the Enigmisphere's capriciousness, our location may have shifted." Lilith explained. "That village is probably far away from ours now." She sighed, as she felt water contacting her skin.
"It's arriving fast. Quickly!"

Vanessa saw electrical sparks jump out from Lilith's skin. She almost screamed. How could one have... powers?
Nevertheless, she followed the group, as Lilith began to lead the way.

Bryan grunted. He had his tracker in his bag, and he couldn't afford it to get wet. "We need to hurry, or this tracker will be useless."
"No offence, but it already is." Kane shot back, a smirk on his face.
Bryan rolled his eyes and hugged the back closer to his chest, attempting to prevent rain from coming in contact with it.

Kane realised that a storm meant there was rain, which meant they'd get sick, which meant they were vulnerable. He pushed past Lilith, and lead the way through the forest.

"I remember it being North West."

Persephone frowned as she noticed the large grey storm clouds towards the edge of the city, Bryan and whoever else went with him would need to find shelter asap.

Persephone caught herself once again starting to feel gloomy and shook her head, Persephone soon atarted thinking if it was possible to go back to the forest yet, 'the rain would pressure Bryan an the other humans to move faster and get away from the city to find shelter, but the closest shelter would be…' she sighed before continuing the thought, 'the forest… and I don't know where they're going so it's anybody's guess how deep they'll go into the forest…'

Persephone huffed in frustration before widening her eyes after remembering one large crucial point that made Persephone want to hit herself because of how obvious it was, she would be outside. She wouldn't be in a city setting anymore, but instead in a grassy field with a giant forest right there.

Persephone wanted to practically smack herself, 'how could I forget all about my powers!?' She angrily thought to herself, 'but then again… that is something that I would do, only I'm that forgetful.'

Persephone grinned widely at the prospect of being able to go to the forest again and dashed towards the crack in the Enigmasphere that she used to get in yesterday.

@ammolite if I'm not mistaken, a group of humans were headed out of the Enigmasphere, that was pretty much the main thing.
