"I think we should ask each in turn what happened. We could start with Tigerclaw, then Lynxfur, then Snowpaw." I meowed. I wanted to give Tigerclaw the first chnace as he was the only one aguring his innocence, and I hoped to StarClan he was innocent.

I growled. It was true then. "Lynxfur, your turn to say something." I meowed, turning my back on Tigerclaw, I couldn't even look at him.

"I was patrolling with Stoneclaw and I heard Snowpaw yowl really loud. I ran out right away and I saw Tigerclaw pinning her down, his paw raised about to do a killing blow. Snowpaw was fighting with all she had but was hopless. I ran fast as I could and knokced Tigerclaw off her. I did not fight him, i simply kept him pinned until Sandstar showed up."

Wolfwind decided she'd be better off checking the lesser patrolled area with more than one cat. As she started to walk away a rustling in the trees and a large shadow on the ground caught her attention. She looked up at the tree close to the border and bit back a yowl of shock.

Viperfang had perched on a branch hanging over the border, her eyes wide as her tail thrashed behind her as the branch bobbed and swayed.

Wolfwind glared at her dumb move. But instead of rebuking her, Wolfwind simply tipped her head and asked, "What is so important that you have to climb on a tree branch, a thin and flimsy tree branch no less, to be heard. Can't you just scream at us from the border like every other rogue?" Wolfwind inquired, only slightly joking.

Viperfang caught her balance enough to glare down at her. "The Clan doesn't take well to rogues so I figured it'd be best if my scent wasn't found near the border so I crept from tree to tree to get here. My scent is currently being absorbed by leaves and is last seen at my camp." She explained. "But, I need you to pass word to the authorities in your Clan for me." She meowed, eyes flicking rapidly from side to side. As if she were afraid of something.

I looked around noticing the Bonepaw had not come back to the camp with me, Snowpaw, and Smokepaw. I sighed but wasn't very concerned, he was probably just staying out to hunt. I knew he didn’t like the fact that he was still just an apprentice. I shuffled my paws, not really knowing what to do, I felt scared and sorry for my sister that nearly encountered death, and I don’t know how she could be comfortable just being by him in the leader's den. She's so brave. Suddenly I hear a soft mew of a kit from the nursery. I was about to ignore it but then I remembered that last time i check, their was no kits in the clan! Blizzardtail must have kitted! I rushed to the nursery, eager to see the new kits. When I walked in, I was shocked to see six kits. “Are these all yours Blizzardtail?” I meowed. That was a huge litter!

{Heathersnow}
I purred at Lavenderpaw and flicked her ear with my tail, “No dearie only four of the six are hers. A patrol found these two little poor kits all alone, Snowkit, Icekit, come say hello to Lavenderpaw. She’s one of the clan apprentices. I gazed fondly at the two young kits. “Hey,” Lavenderpaw meowed to Icekit and Snowkit, “where’d you guys come from? It must have been hard, just the two of you surviving alone.” The apprentice meowed.

{Bonepaw}
I sniffed around to see what their was to catch. I scented a mouse through the ferns and I got down low. When I pounced into the air to catch it, another cat pounced, and we smacked right into each other. “Foxlily!” I spat as the mouse got away.

{Foxlily}
I was surprised to see Bonepaw. “Sorry, i didn’t see you there.” I paused for a moment and saw Bonepaw did not have a mentor or patrol with him. “Are you solo hunting?” I meowed. “Yeah.” Snapped Bonepaw, “What? Apprentices can’t hunt alone.” I rolled my eyes at how snappish the young apprentice was. Then i got a good sniff of him. He smelled like the rogue territories. “Oh Bonepaw please tell me you haven't been hunting in rogue territory.”

Snowkit smiled ''There was originally three of us. My younger brother, Frostkit didn't want to join the clan. We survived on abandoned crowfood. I'm glad we don't have to eat that anymore.'' she meowed. Icekit nodded.

Blizzardtail smiled at Lavenderpaw ''Do you want to meet my kits?'' she meowed.

Sandstar looked at Snowpaw ''Tell me what happened Snowpaw. From the beginning like I asked Tigerclaw who refused.'' She meowed eyeing Tigerclaw.

“What??” I meowed, shocked. “You have a poor brother that's out there all alone? Oh the poor scrap would be able to live through leaf-bare, even if he’s lucky enough to live through green-leaf and leaf-fall! Blizzardtail, i’m sorry but could you watch over Snowkit and Icekit for a while. I have to go out and fetch their brother. I'm not letting that poor kit die.” With that a hurried out of the den and cave, sniffing around, trying to find a scent. I picked kit scent up and rushed after it.

{Lavenderpaw}
“Don’t worry Blizzardtail,” i meowed, “I’ll help you watch the kits till Heathersnow gets back, and I would love to meet your kits.” i glanced down at the small tiny kits and purred.

{Snowpaw}
I shuffled my paws, then looked up at the leader. I would not show fear. “Right after the dawn patrol headed out, Tigerclaw got me up for hunting. He was being rather grumpy, which I made a comment about. That made him mad and he threatened to make me clean the elders den, but I wasn’t worried and made a sassy comment. We got out hunting and I saw a rabbit. I go down low to stalk it, and he growled about how I needed to do better. His growl scared the rabbit and I had to run really fast to just catch it. Once I caught it I made just a light teasing comment about how his growl had almost cost me the rabbit. He got really mad and his claws slipped out. I told him that he wouldn’t attack a clanmate, and he said he would if they were acting like a mouse-brained kit. He then pounced on me and pinned me down. He hissed at me. I clawed his muzzle in defense He asked if I even knew the warrior code, and I said I knew it better then him because he was attacking a clanmate. He then raised his paw to do a killing blow and yowled ‘I WANT YOU TO MEET AND ASK STARCLAN ABOUT THIS!’” I paused for a moment and shuddered at the memory. I then went on, “I was just able to slip away for the moment, but he pinned me again, and raised his paw again. I yowled as loud as I could, and lucky Lynxfur heard me and saved me right before Tigerclaw could kill me.”

{Bonepaw}
“So what if I did?” I meowed. I had not been hunting in rogue territory, but I decided to have a little fun with Fox Lily. “Bonepaw, you can’t do that, don’t you know how irresponsible-” I cut Foxlily off with a slight purr, “Well then, good thing I didn’t hunt there then, hmm?” I saw Foxlily huff in frustration. “Honestly, Bonepaw.” She sighed. Foxlily just shook her head. “I'm going back to camp.” She meowed, gathering her prey. I watched her walk off until she was gone. Finally, alone at last!

{Foxlily}
I looked around for Tigerclaw, confused. Then I noticed his scent mingled with Waspclaw’s, heading back to camp. I realized he must have been called back to camp to talk about what happened with Snowpaw.

Wolfwind nodded slowly at Viperfang's words. "I can, although I can't exactly say a former Clan member exiled for a false murder claim told me.of it." She meowed, "But I'll think of something before I get back to the Clan."

Viperfang sighed gratefully and relief seemed to flood into her eyes. "Thank you." She murmured, just faint enough that if the breeze were any stronger Wolfwind doubted her words would have been heard. "But the rogues, they're planning something. I heard they were wanting to attack the Clan, to take it over for themselves. One of them actually spoke to me about it, and I decided to consider it. But I have friends in CrystalClan. I can't very much let you die because of what my brother did.

" Regardless, I'm going to join with them. Claim I am all for fighting the Clan, and I'll try my best to get word to you or someone else whenever possible. But I'm risking a lot to make sure you all aren't killed." Viperfang explained, her voice rushing at the end. "I have to go now, but please, even if Sandstar doesn't trust your words. I'm sure Waspclaw will." She added before she scurried across the trees.

Wolfwind frowned at this news, pawing gently in the dirt concern gnawing at her belly. How was she to convince Sandstar of the rogues plot? It wasn't like she could be known to have connections outside the Clan.

Deciding to leave it for now Wolfwind set to hunting, passing into the forest she originally decided to leave alone as an idea came to her.

I looked around again, looking for any prey close by. I sniffed the air, but I didn't scent any. I realized Foxlily and I's clash must have scared the prey off. I headed toward the river, the fish would still be swimming.

I returned to camp and deposited my fresh-kill into the prey pile. I looked into the warriors den, not seeing Tigerclaw. That confirmed my guess that he had been called to the leader’s. I slipped back out of the warriors den and looked around, seeing if their was anything I could do.

{Heathersnow}
I kept on following the kit scent, noticing it growing stronger and stronger. Then I finally caught up with it, and I noticed a small grey kit about a few fox lengths in front of me. “Frostkit!” I called out.

Lionclaw asked "so can I?"

Ace growled "go on after a moon tell Tigerclaw who you are and have him tell me the details of what is happening."

Lionclaw grinned then paddled toward the forest.

Viperfang, having her word heard slowly made her way after the scent trail Bat left behind. She saw Lionclaw heading away, a slight dread sinking into her belly as she realized he might be heading towards the Clan. But after a moment she shook it away, she had work to do.

She heard Ace and Bat conversing, and so walked up just as Ace growled at Bat. "He was finding me." she meowed, lightly padding down to join the assembled group of cats.

Worry wormed its way through her body as she fought to remain calm in light of her decision. And when she was surrounded by so many possibly hostile others.
